Excellent food prep and service. It is a bit crowded and noisy but not terrible. Definitely would go back.
Good food, but not GREAT for the price.
We went here for our anniversary and we were visiting from NY. The food was some of the best Greek food we have ever had! The gyros were so good, we ordered a 2nd plate. The service was amazing.
Loved this place! So quiet for a Tuesday and a great date spot. HH was so reasonable and perfect.
I have been to Cava Mezze with girlfriends for brunch, on a lunch date, and most recently I brought my children for brunch. The staff is always welcoming and helpful. I was very happy to see that my children were welcomed and spoiled just as much as I have been on my previous visits. The food is always delicious and the craft cocktails are seasonal and delicious! I HIGHLY recommend Cava Mezze!
Enjoyed from the moment we walked in and were greeted so happily, the servers were very pleasant, and we loved the food.
The food was good as always, but the service was a bit disjointed on this visit.
Food was awesome and the roof top is great. Host staff is snooty and managers.....well let just hope u dont need them.
Favorite place for dinning and also for brunch.Food is amazing
I didn’t give it an excellent just because the shrimp in the shrimp and grits dish was not deveined. You can see the grey gunk on the back of the shrimp. I told our server and I watched her take it to her manager and he told her “ that’s how it comes we don’t go in and do anything extra!” I was disgusted that he didn’t think cleaning shrimps is important for a dish.
Other than that the server was awesome.
The servers there were helpful and kind, and the ambiance on the rooftop on a cooler summer evening was great! Must try ordering their Moscow mule and the corn. Those were our favorites!
As a frequent customer, it pains me to say I'm unlikely to go back anytime soon. It was a super-quiet night, but service was absolutely atrocious. Our waiter was absent for long periods of time, food wasn't delivered (and dishes that were probably ours came out of the kitchen, circulated aimlessly among the few tables, and then went back into the kitchen), drinks were forgotten - and he didn't seem to realize a single thing was wrong. Nor did the manager, for that matter, even though we were there longer than several other table around us that were seated after us...and it's not like we were lingering over food. But hey the saganaki was good.
Went for the endless brunch - not a bad deal and that food is delicious!!!
Excellent brunch service. Speedy and satisfying, and a gentle reminder of how busy the restaurant was (they needed the table) was conveyed professionally. Bravo
Delicious plates. Pro tip: order the next plate as soon as one is delivered to maximize brunch time!
Cava Mezze is a MUST on Barrack's Row! Came on a Saturday night with a group of 6. Such a fun vibe, a bonus if you get the Saganaki! The shared plates are a pretty decent size for the price. Not to mention, the service was just as great as the food and drinks! We loved everything we ordered - the street corn, crispy chicken sliders, & spanakopita especially stood out. They also treated us to some amazing little hot donuts at the end. Will definitely be back, next time for brunch!
The food at Cava was outstanding. The three of us split a bunch of dishes and were able to find something for everyone. Especially with a couple of vegetarians, there were plenty of options and no one left hungry. The flaming cheese is a must try!!! As are the chicken lollipops.
Another great feature is the selection of Greek wines. The server recommended one that my friends really enjoyed.
Good food, perfect size portions. Everyone enjoyed their meals. My only complaint is the timing of the food.
A family favorite, Cava Mezze never disappoints. The food is why you come and the ambiance and service live up too. Its not cheap... but for the quality of food.. its a good value.
Loved the food at Cava Mezze and the service was fantastic! Our waiter was so engaging and very knowledgeable. We will be back!
We had some of the most creative and delicious foods. Whipped feta! Street corn! Scallops! Watermelon feta salad! Moscow mule on draft! Loved the atmosphere!
Jonathan made the experience really nice. He gave great recommendations and was really friendly! We were happy to have him as our server.
Our family was celebrating our niece’s graduation.
My parents were in town, so we went to Cava Mezze for a nice dinner. We loved all of our dishes, and the service was very good and friendly. The food came out quickly and was delicious. We sat outside because it was a bit too loud inside. Definitely a more energetic feel, but not perfect if you want a quieter place.
Will definitely be back.
The service staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious.
Service seems to have gone down considerably, food served - Spanakopita and the grilled octopus seemed cold. They have lost the touch they had when I last visited a few years ago.
Every bite is delicious! Intense flavors, huge variety of choices, many veggie and seafood options, plus great wine and cocktail list. Spanakopita is some of the best I've ever had. Can't go wrong.
Went there for dinner with a baby and a diner with dairy and soy allergies. As always, the food was great, we felt welcomed (and were not the only ones with a baby), and they really went above above and beyond on the allergy issues, even tweaking several dishes so everybody could eat them. A wonderful meal here, as always.
Gyro, lamb chops and beet salad were great
Of servings were small although the food was good but there was an up charge of $2.00 for 6 slices of cucumbers for someone who could not eat bread and that seemed ridiculous
I had a great experience. Food and service was amazing.
I have been to Cava Mezze man times and it never disappoints! Every dish ordered and shared by the members of my dining group was delicious, as were the cocktails. We sat upstairs, where it's a little less noisy.
Good experience, I’d go back. But, although the menu listed a Monday Special, the waitress told us it was no longer available and a new special that was more expensive was the special. Disappointing.
I've gone to the CAVA chain restaurants before and loved them, but CAVA Mezze was an even better experience. We sat at the rooftop bar - which was amazing. For dinner, we ordered tzatziki, zucchini fritters and octopus. I'd recommend all of these, especially if you looking for something a little different. We're already planning our next trip back!
Always a great start time
Everything was great about Cava Mezza. The food was terrific and interesting. Good beer list. Great service.
I've never left anything less than 5 stars across the board, but had to say something here. No big deal to start out - our table was set with 6 plates, 5 sets of silverware (two were missing forks), and 4 glasses. It took about 15 minutes for a server to come over, but once she did, we flagged the waitress to the missing pieces. She said she would be back to fix it. We had to remind her again after it appeared she forgot, but it was eventually fixed without any big deal. It was the first seating for brunch, they were busy and no one was upset.
Someone at our table mentioned it had been about 15 minutes since we ordered our drinks. The waitress must have overheard because she then looked over at our table, gestured with her two hands and said "calm down." It was more awkward than anything. Didn't realize what she said was even rude, but it's ok. We didn't mean to come off as snarky.
After that everything was fine, but the waitress spent the rest of the meal being a little awkward. Our experience was hard to describe. The food was good, especially considering the price, but we spent the rest of the day talking about the server.
I won't be back, but I wouldn't press anyone to stay away or anything. I'm sure our server was just having a bad day.
Great food. Unpleasantly loud. Drunk men at the bar.
Sat upstairs with the heaters going and cool night. Loved the atmosphere. Loved the food options. Wood oven roasted Brussel sprouts and other vegetables my favorite! SO many good options.
We had a lovely dinner celebrating my friend’s birthday.
