None of our food came out at the same time. Someone’s course was always missing out of the 3 courses for brunch. One persons meal came out 15 minutes before everyone else’s and then 1 meal came out completely wrong. The server never came over to check to see if we got everything or ask how it was. Never came back to refill out mimosas
Sent a group of coworkers here for a business meal and they raved about it! Great quality and range of food for all dietary restrictions and tastes.
service was spotty maybe lack of waiters . when arrived no one was able to assit for like 7-10 minutes . once seated had to grab waiters from another table a couple of times for service
Overall great. We were upstairs which was great, but music was a bit too loud.
Warm and welcoming. Good food and accommodating staff.
Always great food and service at Cava.
Good and service was great! I would go again for brunch/lunch/dinner.
Opa Opa shrimp delicious. Brunch mate didn’t like falafel sandwich said it was dry and extra tahini didn’t help. Passion fruit margarita was really good.
Food was delicious, friendly service. It was much quieter than expected on a Friday night
Great food, drinks, and overall a great vibe! I would definitely recommend to my family and friends!
Met a friend for Sunday brunch and we both ordered from the Brunch Mania menu. The three courses were well portioned for the price and the drink were very good. I had a French 75 and we both had a few mimosas. The service left a little to be desired however but that could have been due to our location nearest the patio. The staff was very friendly but it took our waitress a bit of time to come back to us when we needed her.
Overall a good experience and I would recommend.
Delicious, would definitely recommend to friends and family!
The food was very disappointing. Even the flaming cheese was mediocre
Excellent service and food
We enjoyed the brunch menu - with a diverse range of options and hearty portion sizes (though significantly less wasteful than the previous "all you can eat"!)
I am vegetarian and had plenty of great options. We also appreciated the great non-alcoholic beverage options. Some coffee options would be a great addition though.
The service was efficient and pleasant; we enjoyed the interactions with the host table staff as well as our table server. Will definitely be back again
Absolutely wonderful! The service was out of this world fabulous! Everytime we have out of town guests, we bring them their for the Sunday Brunch! We all something different and all share with the table, everything was delicious!
Good service and delicious food. Recommend expanding the brunch choice options, as well as per person brunch option rather than per table. Not every person wants the brunch option in a single party. Otherwise, all was well.
Just perfect. Outdoor seating is great. Food was great. No complaints
Wouldn’t eat at cava mezze again. Would just got to the fast food chain. Services was incredibly slow
Went to Cava Mezze for brunch and was disappointed to see that they no longer offer their “all you can eat” menu and have since changed to a three course deal. As a picky eater, the diversity of options was why I loved this brunch. But, I struggled yesterday with only a few options in each category. Ultimately, the food was good. But, the experience was as magical as it has been for me in the past. The mimosas were good, the service was perfectly fine. All in all, I’d visit again, but only after having checked out some other new and exciting DC brunches.
Appreciated being able to get a change to my reservation 1 day before to allow for 5 instead of 3. Being offered a rooftop table was an added bonus. Getting a paper menu was appreciated, and it's something you might want to have more available. Reading from a phone is not that easy. Service was friendly and gave us plenty of time to celebrate as a group. We'll be back.
This was my second time coming here for brunch, but it's been a few years. The food was fantastic! But the food was dropped off at our table in odd intervals. We were a group of 6 and ordered brunch mania (a price fix 3 course brunch). We all ordered at the same time yet each got our first course at different times, even for some of us who ordered the same thing. My second course came before my friend's first even arrived. It felt a little disjointed that we were all eating separately but the food was good and had generous portions. I'd give it another chance but it was not the best brunch in the area I've had.
Excellent dips and starters which we enjoyed so much we did not try the entrees The service was friendly and unobtrusive.
Absolutely delicious! The food is incredible. You will leave feeling so happy and full - the staff is amazing too, shoutout to Gillian!!
The bunch mania is great and a great value (I always end up taking the last course to go). Service is friendly. Outdoor patio is covered. Good vegetarian options.
We went for brunch and had an amazing time, the potatoes especially were to die for!
Absolutely delicious and creative Greek food.
Cava Mezze is one of my favorites. I’ve been coming to the Capitol Hill location for years. The food and service are always great! Forever a go-to!
Delicious and flavorful food. Great service!
I really enjoyed this experience! The food was AMAZING! The vibe was mild, but most of all, the food was AMAZING! I took my partner to try some food out of his comfort zone and he loved it! This will definitely become a favorite for us.
We went with a group of 4 yesterday for brunch. We have been to cava mezze many times at the baltimore location before it closed. I do prefer the tapas style they used to have. Now it is a pick three option with bigger portions. I understand with covid they had to change things up, but it was the all you can eat tapas style that really set them apart from other brunch spots. The food was “eh” to me this time. The French toast was covered in whipped cream so much that the bread was soggy. The banana fritters didn’t have much flavor. The food came at in all different orders despite the menu being in “courses” and it just felt kind of messy. We honestly didn’t eat most of the food. The service was slower than normal and our server seemed impatient or maybe just overwhelmed. Not sure we’ll be back sadly.
We went for Restaurant Week. They give you a pretty decent menu to choose from for the price fixe. It's mezze, so sharable portions but smaller than entrees. We got the village salad, feta hush puppies, steak slouvaki, lamb sliders & nutella mini donuts. The entrees were good 7.5 but not great, steak was abit chewy & the lamb was alright, I've had better lamb. Their apps & desserts & ambience really makes for a great date night!
Delicious food!! and actually I found the menu changes (from tapas to a 3 course) to be a good change. I was nervous the 3 course brunch mania wasnt going to be as filling as a bajillion tapas, but there was enough food in each dish to share with the table and try a little bit of everything.
Absolutely horrible. Greasy, cold - both the service and the food, that is.
Menu is just a little different. It broke my heart that they’ve deconstructed the gyro hash brown. It was still delicious, but not the same. I miss the old menu very much 😭 I need the old menu back, when they had fried pork belly on there. Those were the days. But the key thing that is important here, is knowing, even with the changes the food is still delicious! So I will return. I love the staff. They have always been great friendly people. I would advise you if you are wondering if you should go or not, GO! It’s delicious. That is all. 😋
Restaurant was attractive, we ate inside - the air-conditioning was very cold! The food was great, service not so much. We ordered a bottle of the Greek white wine, which was served room temperature. I explained to the waitress that the temperature was off and she brought me a bucket of ice! Did not offer to replace it with a cool bottle. The worst part was at the end of the evening she plopped the check on the table without ever coming back and saying everything OK would you like some dessert anything else I can get for you. Really ended the evening in a bad way, hence the three star rating.
The food is always delicious, but ask things have opened up they definitely are still working out the kinks of getting back to normal. Service was pretty slow and a little spotty, but I'll still return.
I usually love the Brunchmania at Cava but today’s experience was horrendous. The spicy lamb sausage was undercooked and the food items did not come out in a timely manner.
We had such a great time! Dave was super helpful!
Cava was super chill and has great brunch prices. The food was alright. It needed more flavor.
