Cava Mezze - Baltimore
Book your next event with us
This place was recommended to me by a good friend. My hubby and I loved the waitress great customer service and the food was AMAZING!! It was our date day but the only thing I didn’t care for is that it was a little too noisy for me. I couldn’t really have a low tone convo without slightly screaming. Overall-we enjoyed it and will be back!! 🤗
Amazing service! Very personable experience! We were seated immediately and the food was amazing. Cava brunch is one of the best in Baltimore. You really can't beat it.
There were eggs all over both menus we got, food smeared all over our table, and chunks of food all over the floor. I think our waitress forgot about us- we couldn’t find her anywhere for about 15 minutes after we finished all our food and drinks. We moved to the bar, where the service was awesome. In short, SIT AT THE BAR.
Came for a birthday and it was amazing. Great service, all of our food came out in under 30 minutes!
The appetizers and first course were excellent. The salmon special was very well done and crisp on the outside, a bit rare on the inside. Would have liked a different side with the salmon. This came on a bed of shredded beets and lime juice which was good but didn't go well with the salmon.
Expensive, very tiny portions honestly for 1 person.
Lamb sliders were very spicy.
They did not serve enough bread with all the appetizers.
Babba ganoush was not like how the Lebanese make it, the Lebanese version is more delicate
Service was very slow. It took 10 min to even ask to put a drink order in. When ordering, one item was delivered so late ( I think it was forgotten), but staff didn't admit to it, that everyone else was finished with all other items. While the food was decent, nothing outstanding, I would not go back due to the service.
Would definitely recommend the all you can eat brunch. The food was amazing, our server was great. And it’s reasonably priced considering all that you’re able to get.
Great food. Smaller tapas size portions for sharing.
Their brunch is great! The food is delicious and the deal can't be beat!
Went for brunch! Get the $35 all you can eat brunch. Awesome selection and so goooood!
Service was fast and great. Food was excellent
Service was slow. Wish there were more breakfast poultry or vegan options. Good value overall & food was good.
We had reservations for NYE at 8:45 and arrived an hour early. We were offered a table at a much sooner time, but opted to sit at the bar.
Enjoyed ourselves at the bar so much that we ate there instead of being seated.
Food was good. Especially the NY strip.
Atmosphere was nice and not too formal.
Price is little high for plate size.
Food was good and well priced but the bar and staff communication was poor.
I absolutely love Cava Mezza! I am obsessed with their food & it it's always my go to! Everything tastes fresh & flavorful. My mom is vegan & I love meat so its the perfect spot for us to get together! The drinks are always delicious & the staff is super friendly! Overall, it's worth to try, the food is amazing!
This place is always great for girls night or brunch! The food is good and the drinks are even better! The Saganaki is something you dream about until your next visit. Shout to our server Keith for doing an awesome job and keeping us laughing!!
Not happy With the experience. Service was poor. Food was fair place way too loud.
The groups can be very loud, so maybe don't seat groups of two right next to large groups.
Great experience, everyone loved it! And they would definitely come again!!
Absolutely love Cava Mezze - Everything is delicious!! It’s always my go to spot because the food, atmosphere, & service is always 100% each time I go!
Service was great, food was very tasty. Lots of fun to try different small plates.
Always a fun time with friends. It would be nice to be able to order a la carte from the lunch menu at brunch as well.
I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch at Cava. The food was delicious and my waitress, Joelly, was very kind. In addition, the lunch menu is very economical. I’ll be back. 😊
Good food, good service & overall a fun experience, but the noise! Very hard to have any interaction with my tablemates it was so loud.
Really nice brunch for my wife 34th Birthday
Great Customer service and the serving staff was amazing
This is a very trendy restaurant. I love the ambiance. The food is excellent. However, like so many tapas restaurants, I feel tortured by small portions that never quite satisfy. They feel expensive. I am fine with the concept as long as there are also some full entrees on the menu. Here I didn't see any. So I get 2 lambchops for 18 dollars. It isn't enough... A small portion of bronzini... I would have loved to have ordered a full lamb chop dinner. Yes, you put different foods together.. but somehow it adds up to more than if it had been one entree.
I had a moscow mule which was my favorite ever. They make their own ginger beer and the spice of the ginger was exquisite. Love it!
Overall great experience. The only thing I didn't like was that they require you to email for a group of 10. I was in the restaurant and initially told I could not make a future reservation for a group onsite because management requires you to email.
The service was good, and the food was good. It is small plates but you fill up quickly with the bottomless brunch and $0.25 mimosas!
Always love it here! Very attentive staff, fun atmosphere! Can't wait to go back soon!
This was my 4th visit to a Cava Mezze restaurant. The food was amazing as usual, but this was definitely my worst service experience. As we were waiting to order drinks the server was talking to other employees. Multiple times it seemed like she forgot about us at the table. Overall the experience was still good but I hope to have a different server when I return.
This was my third time dining at Cava Mezza an sadly it was a HUGE let down comparatively to previous experiences! The service was literally Missing In Action. The restaurant was not crowded but our waiter seemed to be befuddled and slow to respond. Not certain that I will be returning!!
Very tasty Mediterranean cuisine with lots of choices, all of them good. The octopus was particularly tasty (marinated, roasted, and then lightly grilled) and I don't normally like octopus. This stuff was not the chewy eraser one finds too often! Try it. Decent wine list and beer offerings with traditional and unusual tapas small plates. Near the Inner Harbor and in a gentrifying neighborhood.
If your palate is interested in Mediterranean, and you want to try a variety, this is a good place to consider. They can modify the dishes, as an example I had the grouper seared plain, no sauces/spices and it was done perfectly. Normally cooks and chefs aren't happy modifying food dishes and it shows in a less than properly prepared item. Cava Mezze realizes their reputation is on the line with EVERY dish, so they take great care in making it right. The atmosphere was a bit noisy (Energetic on OpenTable's list). It is loud, so the conversation at our table of 4 was a bit tough so just be prepared to speak louder than a normal conversation. And your neighbor tables won't hear you anyway, it's that loud.
Great dishes, Scallops, Shrimp, Grouper all good. Calamari was overly breaded, to the point of that being all you tasted. Tender though when you got to the Calamari itself. No tentacles served so it looked like a basket of onion rings from a fast food place. That can be a pro or con depending upon you preference.
Super wine list, a nice variety on the Appetizers, with an interesting take on Saganaki. Instead of the traditional Ouzo, they used 151 rum (even though the menu states Brandy). I believe it is for the extra flame show, not for flavor. Saganaki is a traditional cheese and licorice flavor blend crisped up tableside as a flambé, but the towering flames from the dish made excitement in the restaurant and it became a big order after we had ordered ours. Good business move, still tasty, however my preference is for the traditional flavor over show.
All in all, an OK/Good place to meet friends that is VERY energetic.
My second time. Had a great time and the experience and the service (Megan) was top notch. Love the Brunch menu Would definitely recommend to family and friends
This is my second time at Cava Mezze in Baltimore for brunch, and it’s nothing short of good food, good people, and a good time! A couple things:
1) If you come for brunch MAKE A RESERVATION! This place gets super packed on Sunday’s. You can make a reservation through Open Table or the Cava website.
2) The unlimited brunch menu is amazing! We usually get an assortment of things such as the Biscuits and Honey Butter, the Spicy Lamb Benedict, the Salmon Benedict, the Chicken and Waffle, the Shrimp and Grits, the Breakfast Salmon? The Sausage and Bacon, the French Toast, and the Steak and Eggs. If you don’t know anything about Cava Mezze look them up. They give a variety of small plates during brunch you can pick whatever you want to eat for 2 hours and it’s all $35 per person. I personally believe all restaurants should take a page from Cava’s structure. I’d rather have a variety of small plates to test out than to have one entree that I don’t like.
3) Everything is delicious!! The 25 cent mimosas, the unlimited brunch, the coffee, just everything is amazing. I have nothing but good words to say about this place.
4) If you haven’t been, you need to check it out!!
The food comes very fast and it was very good! Came here this past weekend to get some brunch before going to the Ravens vs Broncos game with my finance and friends and everyone had a great time! The $35 all inclusive + 25cent mimosas is a good deal in my opinion. I think a place like this would do very well if it came to Denver. Will defiantly return next Baltimore visit! I recommend trying the green eggs and ham & yogurt parfait.
Good food and service
