This was our 4th visit! Service is always good and so is the food. It's a nice change from seafood. The spring rolls are awesome and so are the Irish nachos!!! We had the hangar steak that was amazing and the new ribs selection that was outstanding!!!!

The food hit and miss. Giant mozzarella sticks were bland. Burgers were great. Corned beef sandwich ($17.99) was not worth it. The corned beef was average and improperly sliced. The floors were sticky, the lighting was too bright and the hostess did not practice good hygiene. Overall, it was pricey for what we received.

The place definitely has possibilities, but my main issue was that the air conditioning was not working or barely working. During the hottest time of the year and I was sweating during my entire meal. It was actually cooler outside the restaurant than inside. The waitress explained that it gets like that when it gets crowded. Well there was a good crowd, but it was not packed. Other patrons were complaining as well. I will retry the place when the weather cools down as the burger was good and the drinks seem to be top notch.

Stay away....the food was greasy and very heavy. I don't understand how people like this place. My husband got a draft beer; there was a lipstick mark on the glass. The burgers were dripping with grease and flavorless. The burger patties were the frozen kind, not made on site. If this is the " best" Wildwood has to offer; culinary arts is dead in this area!

The food was very good and our waiter was fairly attentive given the restaurant was full. Unfortunately, it goes down hill from here. The room of the restaurant where we were seated was approximately 90 degrees. The manager/owner attributed this to the outdoor temperatures, patrons opening and closing the door to the restaurant and a large window in this room. Normally, I would be able to buy into this sort of explanation except: There is a vestibule you enter in to the restaurant so you pass through 2 sets of doors before you get into the restaurant. secondly, the main room has plenty of windows and was much cooler, and is actually the room the door of the restaurant opens into. Being a shore town, I am sure people will recognize that eating outside on a breezy 90 degree day is preferable to eating inside in a room that is 90 degrees. Its not comfortable eating in a restaurant and dripping sweat. Here is where our waiter was good- he recognized it was warm and checked back to make sure we had drinks and/or water. Once dinner came out, we had to wait an additional 15 minutes for one of our children's food to come (and it was the easy meal- macaroni and cheese!). I did not personally use the restroom, but 2 other members of our party did, and they said our room was not the worst in the restaurant. Evidently there is a room directly across from the bathroom, which, when you open the bathroom door, that room has a direct line of site into the bathroom vestibule ( not a big deal, but if people are using the bathroom, ummm...). I would not mention it, but since the 2 members of our party noticed it and they notice NOTHING, I thought I would report it. If Cattle and Clover could fix their HVAC system, I would give this restaurant much higher ratings. As it stands now, I don't know that I will ever visit again. The food is good, but not enough to make me go there again.

Cattle & Clover was a choice we made while on vacation in Wildwood. My family was back and forth all afternoon on places to have dinner. After reading reviews on Yelp, as well as Trip Advisor , we chose Cattle & Clover. We had an Irish server, who was most gracious and attentive to all our needs. My wife and daughter had a Lobster and Crab dish that was the special for the night that cost $25. It was delicious. We had an appitizer that was a corned beef and sauerkraut eg, roll that the server suggested. Very tasty! It gave me a new idea for St. Patrick's Day,rather than Rueben bits. I had the Irish Surf & Turf, which was Sheppards pie and battered fish and chips. Everything was delicious and moderately priced. We won't have to search through dozens of reviews to find a place for dinner. This will definetly be our place when we come back to Wildwood for vacation.

The service was very friendly and helpful to make beer recommendations. We really enjoyed the devil eggs appetizer. The shepherds pie was delicious - the best we've ever had. We also enjoyed the corned beef sandwich. My husband ordered the ribs. Although they were very tender, he didn't prefer the flavor of the sauce. We will return if we're in the area again.

Not good. Steaks were raw potatoes cold and undercooked burgers came with wrong toppings. Waiter too busy with other tables and didnt seem to care bill was over 100 dollars for four with no alcohol. Would not go back

We had a wonderful dinner with friends with some of the best food we have ever enjoyed! The mac and cheese with short rib pulled pork is outstanding!! Comfort food at it's finest!!!!

This restaurant is what I would call Irish fusion. They take most if not all of the Irish traditional dishes and impart their version of it. e.g. corned beef sandwich on a pretzel roll with steamed red cabbage and house mustard.
They also have more expensive entrée choices such as Filet Mignon, rack of lamb etc.
For those on a budget there are also $15.00 burgers served with homemade chips. Steak fries are a $3.00 up-charge.
I had the corned beef sand. and didn't like the cabbage as it was too sweet and overpowered the rest. I did have the french onion soup which was great except for the many dried onion sticks poking out the top.
My wife had the 4oz. fillet in the high twenty dollar range and wasn't worth it.
For something different I would recommend this place but be sure you understand the dish and presentation.

The food was out of this world---authentic Irish fare. The service was very friendly and efficient. The prices were not bad for a seashore town. Even though it's essentially a pub, children were welcome, too. Great place!

The food and service were wonderful . Our server told us several bits of trivia about the history of the establishment. Portions were very large. There were traditional options of Irish fare (sheppard's pie) and some twists added to old favorites (corned beef and cabbage egg rolls ) and the fried pickles are the things that dreams are made of.

Looking for a great steakhouse for a steak-loving friend and this place got excellent reviews, for good reason. Really great steak fare, cooked perfectly and served with all the sides my friend was hoping for - potato wedges, mushrooms, onions and sauce. All-in-all a nice dining experience, served by an attentive and fun server. Very high decibel level, as it was the final game of the World Cup, but thinking it is usually much quieter. Will go back!

We were on vacation, and looking for a decent place for dinner. This is definitely not the go-to if you're in the mood for wine with your meal. Strictly a beer place; of course, it is a "pub." The food was good, not great, the prices in a fair range. Overall, nothing to write home about.

Our waiter was great but the food was not the best we had. Although, we have been to Ireland and it did seem like the real deal! Steak and seafood Mac and cheese were good but fish n chips and chicken were too greasy. Please reconsider the mozzarella sticks; WAY too big and not very appetizing. The aroma of food was overwhelming but the energy in the restaurant was fun. We personally won't go back but I know some Irish family members will absolutely love it!

A group of us who were visiting Wildwood wanted to get together for a home style hearty meal. We had a group of nine (that included 4 kids under 10 years old). The menu had children's offerings - thus is family friendly. The place is a tavern style restaurant. Its about 3 blocks off from the center of the boardwalk (corner of Pacific & Spicer) - which made it convenient to head to the boardwalk after dinner. Our server was EXCELLENT! Very attentative and catered to our specific requests. The menu had a nice variety - some of our choices for dinner were better than others (for various reasons) but we all thought the food was good - and was given plenty of it. We all rated the food about a 3 out of 5 stars for quality, taste, amount, and presentation.. They have an extensive beer list (imports, domestics) of all kinds. I believe our only "complaints" were that the noise level was quite high (and the place wasn't completely full either) - but it IS a tavern style restaurant - so it was expected - but not that loud. Also - it was VERY warm (no air conditioning was on at the time). Other than that - we all had an enjoyable experience. Bottom line? - We would recommend the place and come back again!

Food was not as expected. We started with a Caesar salad to share. The croutons were like rubber hockey pucks (very rubbery and hard), totally inedible. We told the waiter and he was going to tell the cook...so not much help for us. I ordered the Irish torte and my wife ordered the Shepard's pie, since we were at an Irish restaurant. Both had very little meat. My torte was all dough, like a bad pot-pie. The Shepard's pie was tasty but as mentioned had very little meat. We won't be back.

We visited this restaurant while on vacation in June, 2016 to celebrate a retirement and a birthday. We had a fabulous time. Drinks were really good. Waitress was cool. Had a nice chat with John the owner. Food was excellent! Everyone at our table remarked at how tasty their dinner was. We were surprised with two special to-die-for desserts that we all shared. Definitely recommend. We will be back.
