Large Lobster Tail
more than a 9oz. lobster tail served with drawn butter and fresh lemon
The restaurant was closed. How were we able to make a reservation when the restaurant is not even open????
Seeing that it is hard to find a good steak in Anchorage Alaska, I tried a place known for good steak. The cuts were not great - and preparations were good but not having better quality cuts surely shows... NY and Ribeye ordered and were both poor cuts.
Consolation - the wagon wheel campfire coupon made it a little easier on the pocketbook, but if paying a steak house for a good cut, a good steak, it was off the mark there...
The service was unusually bad. It was not busy yet it took 10 minutes for our server to come. She took both drink and food orders. It was another 20 minutes before she even brought our drinks. 30 minutes after ordering we got our salads and 10 minutes after that our appetizers and dinner came out together. There were also errors on the order. She never asked if we wanted refills on drinks. We come here quite often and I have to say that the service is going downhill.
They overbooked the evening & was a horrible experience.
Kitchen was backed up, which led to tables being so as well. We had to wait for a couple bar stools to open and after an hour, we were seated after 9pm for our 8pm reservation. The manager apologized and ended up comping our meals, but we didn't get them until almost 10pm. Overall, not the Valentine's dinner I had hoped for.....
unfortunately, we chose Valentine's Day to eat here, along with 100 or so of my closest friends. The line for reservation check-in was out the door. The hostess was checking in people quickly, but the crowd filled the reception area, the bar, and the aisle way. People who had reservations at 6:30 and 6:45 were still waiting to be seated at 7:15. Once we were seated, the server was quick to get to the table to take drink orders, but it took about 15 minutes to get a server to take our food order. We were seated at approximately 7:15. We didn't get our dinner until almost 8:30pm. There were people who didn't have reservations, arrived at 7:00pm. They chose to wait for an open table. They got seated as the doors were being closed at 9:00. I ordered a surf and turf. The vegetables and shrimp were cold, the steak was almost warm, the crabcake and the potatoes were hot enough to eat. The manager ended up comping my meal. And from hearing conversations at other tables, it appears the manager paid for a lot of meals that night. The kitchen staff was overwhelmed by the volume, and the usual high standard of the meals was compromised. I will eat there again, just not on a holiday.
It was Valentines Day and it was PACKED! Long waits to get in, Though we had reservations, and were only about 7 minutes late to be seated. The service was fine, but the order of food did have something wrong and were told it would be fixed and switched out, but never was. We waited an extra 15 minutes, but never had it resolved. So we left.
Good value, good food, good service, nice atmosphere.
Our waiter was excellent and so was the food!!
My fiancé and I both had to send our steaks back because they were not cooked properly. Mine was nearly raw (ordered medium rare).
My fiancé asked to leave off one item (blue cheese) and was directed to order a different dish and instead add in the other items. It ended up costing us more with the server’s direction.
The crab cake was terrible...tasted freezer burnt.
The shrimp was overcooked.
I normally don’t leave reviews like this but everything was so thoroughly bad I felt it is warranted.
On the plus side the wine we ordered was good, even if our server didn’t know how to open it.
We had Tim serve us twice with our family and friends.
He was great! Delicious food and always.:)
Very good service by Jesse. A big improvement from many of our other visits to this restaurant. Food is good as always, but in my opinion Texas Roadhouse has a better ribeye steak.
Just not what it used to be. Did Cattle Company change meat vendors or is the cook just not that great?
Sam provided great service. Food was good and value okay.
Off and on Cattle Company is either great or mediocre. Right now it is in the mediocre phase. 3 of 4 steaks were cooked wrong, service was only so-so and drinks were very small for the price. There are better options for the menu items.
My husband and I are on the keto diet. Cattle Company is a perfect keto restaurant. Multiple meat choices veggie options and even has grilled artichoke for an appetizer, again, keto friendly. We keep coming back because of the food but really for the service. Most of the time we are able to request our favorite server, Tim C. Always attentive. We never run out of drinks and he is friendly. I know we will be well taken care of.
We booked a reservation through Open Table. When we checked in the Hostess called us walk-ins without even checking the reservation. Fortunately our server Wallace made sure that was changed so we collected the Open Table points. Also we had requested bar seating which didn’t happen either. We ordered broccoli as a side dish—it was mushy so I sent mine back and opted for coleslaw. My husband ate his broccoli. I ordered the lobster thermador and it was nothing like pictured—won’t order that again! I picked out the lobster and mushrooms but the rest was a congealed mess.
We enjoyed the friendly service and intimate atmosphere in the extended dining room.
This is a great location for couples or a group of friends. Service is well-timed and accommodating for special requests.
Good food nice atmosphere
We did not get the bread and butter, as we usually get. The main courses came before the salads. This is not the usual service we get when we eat at Cattle Company.
I have never dined at a Cattle Company Steakhouse but after this experience I will never dine at one again. The service was great but the food quality was subpar especially for the prices they charged. The $30 Ribeye reminded me of $3.99 steak deal I would get at a Vegas casino. The Salmon we got was severely undercooked on certain parts even though it took almost an hour to get our food out.
Thanksgiving dinner was good but reception area was extremely crowded with customers waiting to be seated. There were several tables available & wondered why customers weren’t being seated sooner.
We were seated on time at our appointment of 5pm but felt sorry for other customers.
Over the years, the reception area has become dark, run-down & could use new carpet, brighter lights & more upscale atmosphere. It’s kind of embarrassing to invite out of town friends, just my opinion.
We ordered classic martinis. I had a beefeater with olives and my husband ordered gin with a twist. The bartender did an amazing job. The drinks could have come from a five star restaurant. My husband enjoyed his traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner while I went all out with prime rib a lobster tails. Both were excellent except the tails were overcooked and rubbery. Our server Chelsea kept everything moving — well done since the restaurant was very busy. She checked on us every few minutes and couldn’t have been more helpful. Exceptional server.
I have to say first, the service was great .
The issue is the steak.
I cannot enjoy a “charred” steak that isn’t well coated in seasoning.
This is just burned meat, and it tasted like bitter burned meat.
The inside was still medium rare, which I like.
But when the outside is seared beyond being edible, that’s a waste.
Never mind I ordered a 6 ounce filet mignon and at least 2 ounces of the meat was nothing more than inedible fat/gristle.
Luckily the service was good and we tipped our server well.
The kitchen and bar were very slow tonight. We also waited 20 minutes past our reservation due to disorganization at the hostess stand.
It was a birthday celebration and catching up with my grandmother after being away because of the navy. Had a great time for not that much.
We love Cattle Company Steakhouse, but the music was obnoxious and the staff said they had no control over it. Corporate decided what their songs were and exactly how loud they were. Corporate needs to be more flexible because they said people complain about the noise all the time.
We have eaten here many times and never had a problem with portions. The filet was a 6 oz and we ordered 8 oz. when we asked the waiter she gave attitude and blew off our request to check and see if we had the right size
Meal was delivered all at once (appetizer salad and dinner) drinks took 25 mins, no refills of water, no lemon as requested twice and no clearing of used plates
The food and service varies in quality from outstanding to average. More often than not the experience is gong to be above average, so we recommend Cattle Company as a reliable dining location.
We had a nice anniversary dinner and enjoyed the night very much.
This time the food seemed a bit dull, like it had been sitting a little too long after being made. There were some fiberous things in my mash potatoes and they forgot to bring my father-in-laws coleslaw. Our waiter seemed overworked and stressed. Overall it was pleasant, it just wasn’t like I remembered. They were nice and honored an expired coupon.
Cattle Company has always been one of our favorite restaurants. The food on this visit was awesome. Unfortunately, our server did not get our order in promptly, so we had a long wait. We were impressed that he owned up to it and the manager came out and offered us anything we wanted off the menu for free as well as covering the total cost of our dinner. Having that kind of concern for their guests was very impressive and appreciated. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to everyone.
service was very slow fillet, medium rare, was very dry; texture was if had been reheated in a micro wave
Horrible services. Slow on drinks and food was cold and poor cuts of meat. I had a filet and a sloppy cut at an angle on the steak. The only warm thing on the plate was the baked potato
The filet was undercooked, but they brought it back. Got it back, and a different side was on my plate. Waiter took a while for one drink.
Ambiance and food were great. Service was slow apparently due to kitchen staff. Server made things better by keeping us advised of progress. She seemed annoyed that the kitchen staff wasn’t helping her take care of her tables. It was the day after PFD so maybe that didn’t help.
