Wonderful meal great scallops
Very good quality of food and phenomenonal service. A little bit expensive especially if you order wine.
Great place for valentines date. Lobby music was quite good. I like the fixed menu but the prices are high, especially $8 for a tea bag and water.
Book club meeting
Great ambiance, great food, great service and phenomenal view. Must do when in LA.
Great spot w/sunset views
Wonderful ambience. Diverse food and drink choices. Excellent meals. Unobtrusive service. The only small hiccough was that they had inadvertently repeated my reservation and so split our party across two tables - it took them 20 minutes to realise - but to their credit did and rectified the situation. Would definitely dine here again!
Excellent dining experience. My ribeye was cooked perfectly. Love everything about Catch. Highly recommend
We had the delicious squash soup and I asked for some bread but it was delivered after every morsel of soup had been eaten. Also charged $5 for the bread. The fish and dessert very nice. A good example of their menu
Innovative sea food restaurant - with other options. Sushi made fresh in central kitchen. We shared two appetisers and our mains were varied and fantastic.
* AVOID AT ALL COSTS*
Used to love this place.
I had been going for many years (10+), but no more.
The food has deteriorated. It used to be excellent but is now average at high prices. $$$
The food and beverage manager and staff are judgemental.
Foods, service and atmosphere are very good. Highly recommended.
Very good dinner with DineLA. Our waiter, Brent was friendly and provided excellent service
Pleasantly surprised for a hotel restaurant. Quality and food choices far exceeded my expectations.
Patio furniture for chairs and tables. Food mediocre. Service mediocre. Supposed to be a high end restaurant-not even close. Typical hotel cafe.
Great place to have excellent food. Relaxing atmosphere and decoration.
Amazing Christmas Dinner with Five Star Service !
Thank You Catch Team !
First off, the 1920’s architecture, ocean views and dining atmosphere is pretty impressive. However that’s where the greatness ends. What happened to the glory and statue of traditional gourmet cuisine that it is now poo pooed in favor of the obnoxious fusion foodie cuisine for the bizarre palette? Was tremendously disappointed with all courses. Everything arrived to table at wrong temperature and everything tasted terrible with odd seasonings, dips and side pairings. I love dining at the best of the best of hotels in Beverly Hills and SoCal and this restaurant I will never go back to. And I got food poising to boot (from food not served at correct temperatures or cooked all the way through - can we say eating piles of bacteria laden food sitting in back to long waiting to be served) and that never happens to me at restaurants!! Extremely expensive for zero food delight. Dessert coffee was the best part!! Go to the Beverly Hills Polo Lounge instead!!
Fantastic dining experience! Would definitely return.
Met people we hadn't seen in 20 years for dinner, they were staying in Santa Monica so we needed a place close to them. Reading some of the reviews, I was concerned that the Music would drown out our conversation...but decided to try The Catch anyway.
We were pleasantly surprised in that we were far enough from the Combo to have uninterrupted conversation (if you are in the same room as the combo and the bar, you really couldn't carry on a conversation).
Pork Belly appetizer...tasty, but fatter than I am used to having...a negative.
All of us ordered different seafood entrees (salmon, bass, cod and scallops)… we were all very happy with the choices.
The corkage of $40 is excessive, but I understand why, as they really want to sell their own overpriced wine.
Our server was wonderful. He knew we hadn't seen each other for a long time and he let us have enough space to 'catch up'. Very much appreciated.
Love dining here the food and the service is all good but valet parking when I'm up to almost $20 and then a five dollar tip for the Porter
Wonderful!!! Overlooking the Santa Monica beach and lighted Ferris wheel. The hotel is gorgeous-glamorous and welcoming and casual — not at all stuffy. Food was perfection and our wonderful server on dec 10 evening was so accommodating and fun spirited.
Super friendly service but the food took 45 minutes for appetizers to arrive. The restaurant has a nice ambience and views of the beach, but the noise level from the bar area made it difficult to have a normal conversation at times. The food was fresh and some interesting (novel) options: crispy king crab roll. The octupus was tasty and very fresh.
Great food! Excellent service!
The best sushi in LA area!
It was good
Great view and not too noisy. Cesare salad much too much pepper but credit them for removing the charge. Lobster big but rather tasteless. Good wine but poor attention to wine service.
Amazing dinner as usual!!!
Overall amazing... from the views to the food to the service staff.
Very nice seafood restaurant overlooking the ocean. We opted for the sushi/rolls, but they do have dinners as well. Very imaginative, nice view (sadly of the wild fires in Malibu), great service. Good wine list, prices not out of line with the area and hotel.
The restaurant was empty and we waited 15 min for a waiter to show up - i wouldnt go back
Excellent food, wine, service and ambiance. Prices are a bit too high, though.
Overall amazing .... friends were very impressed since I payed. Be ready to break out the credit card.
Food & service Ok but “music” was deafening! We were celebrating a Birthday & couldn’t talk or visit - thus couldn’t celebrate. Wanted to order dessert & coffee but fled the NOISE! Will never return.
Good food and ambiance. Service on the slow side. Over priced.
Excellent restaurant - good seafood - cosy dining - great views
Disappointed! My wife's Bday celebration. Inputted online on Open Table, also told Hostess and wait staff. Nothing! I mean nothing! You would think they would give a dessert, maybe sing Happy Bday! Nothing!
Also, no bread on table. Have to pay 5.00 for basket of bread. Really?
Somewhere during meal, a woman stood over table, did not introduce who she was. Asked how everything was, then walked away. I was, " What was that about"? Nice that she asked, but maybe she should have introduced herself, let us know her position in co.?
Was such an impersonal experience, the whole evening. Would not go back!
Fabulous place for a sisters and my partner dinner. Enjoyed the views, sunset and scrumptious food — All fresh and beautifully presented. Laughed and laughed enjoying our time together and matre’d Let us know our energy was appreciated!!
We sat against the window and enjoyed a beautiful sunset and saw a green flash! Very romantic! Food was amazing! My fiancé ordered the petit filet and I had the braised short rib. Both were delicious! We look forward to going back very soon!!
Everything was incredible, so glad to have visited this wonderful restaurant
