With outdoor seating, it's important to have comfortable and warm seating and we had that at Catch. Small cubicles in the parklet make it possible for intimate dining outside with heaters above. Perfect mix. Service fast and safe with masked waiters. Delicious food!
Food had a nice presentation, however, it was too salty. I’m
Everything was great from the food to drinks and the service. Definitely a great dining experience!
Always wonderful! Great team of employees and great good! Loved the Friday night special... delicious Halibut! Thank you Catch for being opened and serving the community during these unprecedented times! We love the outdoor seating booths!!
Food was excellent as always. The parklet was safe and comfortable under the heat lamp. The wait staff took great care of us, lead by Alberto. One of our favorite places!
Perfect SF outdoor dining experience for birthday celebration
Food was decent, service was friendly. The location is unbeatable. A nice option for those wanting something slightly upscale in the Castro where options at this level are limited. Great for a meal with friends.
Great place, amazing food and service, but if there are only two people, it can sometimes be difficult to get a heater.
Had brunch on a Sunday after COVID restriction allows outdoor seating. The sauce for the mussel is excellent.
Sitting in the parklet out front was surprisingly private and lovely...the booths are separated by plexi, so you are almost in a private space and they each have their own heater to keep you toasty during cold/wet weather. The food is always the best!
The service is also spot on..........We love Catch!!! Cant wait to get back inside around the firepit!
The food and friendly waiters at Catch have brought us back many times, but we've encountered numerous instances of Maitre D' attitude in the past few years, and last night was another one of them. We arrived on time with a reservation, but he through a temper tantrum and made us feel so unwelcome that we almost wanted to leave immediately. Then the flat Prosecco that tasted odd finally convinced us that we won't be back at least for a while.
The food was excellent (sole, seafood stew, salmon) and the staff was kind, patient, and operated extremely well under covid parameters. The manager/owner came to our table and explained the procedure in a very human, very empathetic way and obviously cared for the staff and customer. Couldn’t ask for a better experience under the circumstances. Thank you, Catch.
It was great. Always love it
Welcome back!
Somewhat pricey, but great food and good service.
We were a little late to our reservation but they still accommodated us and the food was good!
Food was great but it’s definitely pricier than a normal friendly gathering. During covid, sitting in a wooden cabana is a must because their other sidewalk tables are terrible - the cabana is heated and very nice
A comfortable setting for outdoor dining due to Covid-19 with good service and great food.
The food was excellent.
Have always ahead a great experience. Great food service and a nice mix of signature cocktails!
Best onion soup in the city
We had another wonderful dinner at Catch with delicious meal and excellent customer service. Sanjay is a lovely host and we thank him for making our wedding anniversary celebration so pleasant with a surprise dessert ❤️
Well designed outdoor sidewalk booths for distance dining, heat lamps above the tables suspended from open-air roof structure - a good option in cold/wet winter months during covid. Service is super attentive appropriately safe interactions. Extensive menu with full bar -- great place to dine and wine that's a local staple in the Castro neighborhood.
Alberto is great!! The food is always wonderful. The salmon is done to perfection.
The parklet is totally safe with excellent social distancing and the heaters will help you stay warm.
Wonderful food and cocktails with outdoor dining on a gorgeous San Francisco day. The tempura battered fish in the fish and chips, and the tempura battered onion rings are exceptional. As was the lemon aioli with the grilled artichoke.
I started with an amazing cucumber/jalapeno vodka cocktail that was the refreshing touch I needed for the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
pleasant wait staff and host for Sunday Brunch. Fish and Chips melted in my mouth. Delicious!
I LOVE CATCH. HAVE BEEN GOING FOR YEARS. THANKS

Safe, delicious, friendly what else do you need?
Catch was wonderful for brunch. The caesar salad with anchovies was tasty and so was the onion soup.
Catch is consistently good with its service and the food. It is not overpriced and the portions are generous.
I had gone to catch to celebrate my birthday 🥳 with my husband
We were surprised by the champagne and crumbulee by the owner !
The food was delicious and all the staff were extremely nice and we had a great time
We will visit Catch when we are in SFO
We had our traditional Halloween evening dinner at Catch this year (in costume of course). It was an over the top amazing experience from start to finish. . The greeting by Sanjay at the front door was warm, as always. From our safe, socially distant table in the parklet, we were able to watch the costumes of passersby. The service by one of of our favorite waiters and staff was spot on. We had the SF Restaurant Week price fixe special and it was so delicious and lovingly prepared and presented. We could not have had a better experience and feel so lucky that this fine restaurant is just down the block.
Awesome!!! Thank you!
We were so happy that Catch was able to open with street seating and some inside capacity. We had dinner there just this past Friday - Hallow's Eve - and it was wonderful. The food and service were terrific and we just love Sanjay - the owner. He has done an amazing job for the community. Thanks
I’ve been eating at Catch for years and the food never disappoints. One of my favorites is their French onion soup which is a meal in itself. It is the best I’ve ever had and I’m including dining in Paris which I’ve done several times. The service, and the management is wonderful.
The outdoor seating is very comfortable and nicely designed. We felt very safe.
I think Catch is one of the most underrated restaurants in the Castro. It’s not just fish, I had one of the most delicious braised short ribs ever. My French onion soup was super flavorful, with a delicious broth, and nice tangy melted cheese. My husband‘s fettuccine was also tasty, and he enjoyed his ceviche a lot, too.
Very friendly, and attentive service.
Catch is definitely on par with L’Ardoisse for fine dining in the neighborhood.
Alberto is excellent!! Food is great. A wonderful experience
Food was delicious, service was good. Server reminded us to keep masks on until food and beverage were at table, which was nice to hear, though I saw lots of people seated in the patio with no food/drink and no masks on. I’m sure enforcement of masks is a delicate subject for staff who are relying on tips, but would have felt better if I had seen them ask some to put their masks back on. Other than that, a great experience.
If you want the best (and I mean the Best!) tasting salmon dish you will ever have, you must try Catch. Food is excellent, service superb and prices very reasonable. Street noise from Market Street a little loud for outside dining, but other than that everything is excellent.
