Each dish showcases these ingredients while incorporating Mediterranean influences and minimalist Californian sensibilities toward composition and presentation.
Since opening in October 2002, Catch is the perfect place to gather for every occasion – handcrafted artisanal cocktails and appetizers at the bar, a cozy romantic dinner for two by the fireplace.

The service was wonderful and the staff was very nice and attentive. The food was just so-so.
What an amazing place! We were stranded aboard a hot plane for 2 hours and missed our reservation time. They graciously accommodated us, seating us just 15 minutes before closing time. The service was perfect, and the food just superb. Will be returning!
Meals are always wonderful here. Mgmt is friendly and welcoming.
So nice to be back on the patio for Pride!
Terrific food and service with a live piano player above the dining room!
The food was delicious, but the service was off. We started with oysters, frito misto, and peach salads. For our mains we shared the special halibut snd striped sea bass. The food runners messed up delivery of our meals a couple of times and the waiter was a bit rude to one person in our party. There was live music which really made atmosphere nice. Overall a fairly pleasant meal, just a bit disappointed in the service.
Had an absolutely amazing time at Catch. The food was incredible and service impeccable. I cannot gush enough. We had the grilled artichokes, mixed grill, paella, oysters and mint meatballs. Every bite was an absolute DELIGHT. THE strawberry lemongrass margarita is a MUST have.
From the owner Sanjay coming to welcome us back, to excellent service from Jose, to the excellent food … superb from start to finish as always. We loved our table on the patio by the fireplace.
We had fried mixed seafood, paella and sea bass. Best meal I have ever had at Catch and one of the best I have ever had in SF.
Great waiter, fun menu, good drinks. Lots of fun!
Love this place!
Love the atmosphere and the vibe. Great place. Sit by the fireplace my best advice.
The food is consistently good at Catch. Staff are friendly. Tables inside were socially distanced.
Dependably Excellent. Supercalifragilisticexpiadelicious.
Our first dinner since lock down... food was fabulous. Fresh oysters, and half price wine.
Sat outdoor on a wonderful San Francisco May evening. Although the sidewalks were active the seating was private and enjoyable. The menu at Catch is as you would expect, mostly seafood and limited on other items but the food has always been stellar. Service too!
Go, enjoy the environment & food!
Great dinner selection
We went to multiple restaurants within San Francisco; each with a very different approach to COVID rules. I feel like Catch took it to an extreme - killing the fun and pleasure of eating out. Their long list of rules and "WARNING" card that was covered with sticky fingerprints that they threw on our table was more of their focus then on their food, the menu and the experience. I am fully aware of the situation restaurants are in due to COVID and the crazy regulations they have - but so many restaurants we went to handled it with grace and still made the experience positive. I felt like I was at a CDC training course at Catch. Food was good. But the experience made it completely disappointing.
Overall very good. My 2 comments, the crab croquettes were not hot. They got to our table in 2 min, I would prefer to wait 5-6 min to cook them as I order them. They are deep fried and should have been piping hot and were luke warm at best. But tasty. The special halibut was very delicious but overpriced at $39 and not a big serving. The price is not inline with their menu so I never asked. I feel the waiter should have mentioned price when he described it. However, again, it was delicious. I will go back.
I’m glad to be back to my favorite restaurant in the Castro. Pleasant experience always. Everything was delicious! Very pleasant staff!
The food & good service keep us coming back. This is a good place for seafood lovers. The menu is well rounded for others. We had the special, grilled halibut with an assortment of Vegies, beautiful presentation. The truffle fries were picture worthy, a tower shape.
Our server was really great, had good recommendation we will definitley come back for more
My wife and I celebrated my birthday with a late-made reservation. We were indoors next to the outdoor seating (with open air / good ventilation). The food was excellent as was the service. We shared the grilled artichoke and the crab croquette was oh so good! We both had the French onion soup was piping hot and served in a deep lionhead bowl. It too was special. We had the salmon and the day's special Alaskan halibut. Both were very tasty and delicious main courses. Overall just a great dining experience!
My wife and I LOVE to brunch here, at least once a week. The Grilled Salmon is always on point and we order it over and over and never regret it. Also easy to get a table on the weekend, even without a reservation most of the time. Such a great place.
We had the halibut (over spinach, fingerling potatoes, mushrooms), which was a special of the day. So unbelievably tasty, I hope this finds a regular spot on the menu.
One of the few seafood restaurants in SF that has a nice selection of proper fish, rather than having the menu dominated by shellfish. But the crab croquette was a-may-zing, so there's that.
Great parklet for outdoor dining! Even on Market Street! Great indoor and street/patio setting when you're comfortable with that.
The two of us had the two sales on the menu (good, though not large), the fish stew (a portion each (very good and cooked to perfection), and the bread pudding (shared) which was outstanding for its type.
Still good food, prices significantly higher than pre-Covid. Nice range of seafood offerings. 1 vegetarian main course.
Amazing service and food! Blew our expectations out of the water!
Way to cold in the outside included ladino and when we moved indoors way to cold
Alberto and the staff is great!!
The food is wonderful
It was a bit cold inside where we sat. Our friend who is older left his coat in the whole time. But food and service were awesome as always.
We had great service and delicious food at one of our favorite restaurants. The staff is both very friendly and very professional.
Excellent really enjoyed fresh oysters and Catch version of Chowder.
As always, such a nice experience. The seafood chowder comes highly recommended as one of the best items on the menu. Staff were super attentive and makes you feel pampered.
Great food nice staff. Our repeat visit was even better.
Loved our waiter from Montana! Delicious fish dinner.
The salmon was excellent
Wonderful as always, from Sanjay checking is in, to amazing service from Jose and Alberto, to amazing food. One of our regular favorites.
The whole fish was not prepped AT ALL. Full of pin bones. The service was inconsistent. It was not a good experience.
A stable menu of Catch classics. Tasty reduced size portions that are good for the waistline. Attentive service and great cocktails.
