Catch was not catch! Heard it was nice but we were very disappointed. Food was not very good, had issues with wine not being available because they claimed they are running low and closing for season in a couple weeks. Burnt veal on two dinners. One chicken dish was possibly not cooked through. We caught a mistake on bill that overcharged us by a bottle. Idk, but don't think we could recommend.
The best! We sat outside and that was great! Food and service was awesome !
This was our first time at this restaurant and I am torn. The food was great but the tables are so close together and so close to the bar that the noise level is really unbearable to an enjoyable dinner. People are literally yelling in your ear while you eat and we could barely hear our server. We kept banging into the chairs of the people next to our table each time anyone had to get in or out or the servers had to get by. Again great food but not sure we will return
I had to wait almost 45 minutes from the time of my reservation to be seated. When I inquired about the timing after half an hour of waiting, I was told by the owner, "I'm not sure where you are from, but around here, it is very rare to be seated within a half an hour of your reservation time." If it hadn't been so late, I would have walked out the door and gone elsewhere. Food was overpriced for small portions but reasonably tasty. I won't be returning.
Absolutely a delight for dinner for my birthday special meal. Martinis were creative and well crafted, service throughout meal was engaging and superlative in all respects
Food was amazingly fresh and gastronomically a pleasure
My favorite was he shrimp and scallop risotto which to me has been one of the best dishes I have had in years
All party members were very happy with their meals
Food was superb. Multiple very good options for how to prepare the fish, and it was excellent. Soft shell crab wraps as an appetizer were memorable. Server knew the menu well and gave good suggestions. We went on a Thursday night (happened to be their White Party) and it was very loud. We will definitely go again. If you go as a couple, I would recommend sitting outside so you can talk. If you are part of a larger group, sit inside and have a blast. Plan to stay for a while after dinner for drinks.
This was our first visit to Catch in Longport. When we checked in for our 8:30 reservation, it looked like it would be a while before we would be seated. However, after a short wait, we were seated at what was described as the quietest table in the restaurant. We were happy to be seated there, since it allowed us to hear each other speak, as the restaurant is quite loud and lively. Our server, Nicole was wonderful. She took time to explain the menu to us and even made a few recommendations. The food was delicious. We will look forward to our next visit to Catch.
The service and food we're outstanding. The noice level made conversation very difficult
Superb service, delicious meal and the best drink menu around!
Enjoy sitting outside. Attractive seating, umbrellas, mood lighting, sofas. Inside is nice decor but noisy.
The wait staff are friendly, attractive and helpful.
They have good variety of interesting cocktails.
My favorite is the spicy pickle martini.
Delicious homemade chips instead of bread.
A very creative and extensive menu of appetizers and main entrees.
Eat there often and always delicious. Many fish and seafood dishes. Great deal on Tuesday nights for a lobster dinner.
I especially enjoy the roasted romaine covered with heaping portion of shell fish.
This is a fun looking restaurant with cool decor. Food is inconsistent. Salad and cold seafood appetizer were great but soft shell crab dinner was AWFUL. Like inedible. I would probably go back at some point and give it another chance...maybe I ordered the wrong thing. Drink menu is good and it's a great spot for people watching and a group dinner.
Great food. A little pricey but worth it. Noise level is VERY high! Hard to have a conversation. But I would go back.
Family dinner for 4. Although not many people inside, noise level was very high. Requested to sit outside and was accommodated. Beautiful night. A bit slow getting initial wait service, but once we were attended to, everything was superb. The crab avocado salad was great. We had 3 different fish entrees, each with a different sauce, plus one very large entree of chicken park. We did order a bunch of sides, which is a bit annoying to have to pay for separately at $10+ each, but they were all devoured (cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, truffle fries and broccoli rabe). Excellent meal and highly recommended.
Great fish specials with lots of different choices of sauce. Our waitress, Celeste, was excellent.
I love Catch! Dinner is always wonderful and the service is great!
