Great restaurant with nice decor and delicious food. Everything we ordered was delicious. We loved the mango salmon tartare, angry shrimp and lobster, and chilean sea bass. Seared tuna could use more seasoning, it was bland. Our server was very friendly and attentive.
Place was packed so it was extremely loud. Towards the end of our meal, the AC got shot down by a staff member and it got uncomfortably warm.
Overall, we had a great time! Will definitely come back in the future.
My Bride enjoyed her app and entrée, my app was good but my entrée, while cooked fine, was the blandest blackened swordfish I've ever had. Prices were NY-level, which is rather ridiculous for Red Bank and the food just wasn't worth it.
The restaurant is very pretty and food is good. Had to scream across table to hear each other. Waiter seemed to be rushing us when we first got there. Once food was served, he never appeared, didn’t ask if we wanted dessert/coffee. Waited forever for check when eventually manager brought it over. They were understaffed and have stuffed way too many tables in. When waiter was taking order from table next to us, leaning forward screaming specials to that table, well let’s just say wasn’t a great view!! And why, when you have a noisy restaurant with many specials, don’t you give a separate “specials this evening” menu so waiters aren’t screaming?? Also appreciate restaurants that tell the price of each special which was not done in this case. Friends also dined there the same evening and said they received the wrong check for their table.
Beautiful place with great food and service. Mallory our waitress was outstanding and Mike the maitre d was very friendly and personable.
Expensive for what it was. Food was average and over-priced.
An absolute pleasure. We had a lovely dinner to celebrate my husbands birthday and it was above and beyond our expectations. The interior is tasteful and elegant. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. We had the “angry lobster” appetizer and we may be addicted to the sauce. Tuna crudo was amazing as well. We had the sea bass and seared ahi tuna and they were excellent. If you love fish, you will not be disappointed. There are also options for people that don’t like fish as well so bring your friends!!!
Had a great meal and this was our first time eating at the new location, really nice and the overall experience was great.
Brought salads with appetizer. Food was ok and fish not warm..forgot my mashed potatoes too. Had to ask for more water.
The service was great! The table of 4 was too small. The appetizers were good. We had colossal Shrimp cocktail. Huge, firm and crisp. Delicious. Also the angry shrimp and lobster . Also very good. The main entree’s were ok.
All four of us agreed we did not like our entrees. I had Chilean Sea Bass with Sweet and Tangy sauce. It was just ok, not that great. The sauce almost ruined the fish. My husband had the Halibut special he also thought it was just ok and a little dry. Our cocktails were good and our waiter was fantastic.
Had a great experience. First , Mallory (not the one from Family Ties) was excellent. Knew the entire menu, made recommendations that we all loved. Weren’t rushed, pace of Service was perfect. Cocktails were also excellent. I had the tequila with pineapple and jalapeño. Had heat but not too hot and wasn’t overly sweet. Our friend had the steak and said it was perfect. Well marbled. I had the bucatini with lobster and the lobster was perfectly tender , not overdone. Can’t say it was a value at this price point , but well worth the cost and we weren’t out for a bargain meal.
Sea bass special was amazing! As a matter of fact, EVERYTHING was tasty!
We were unaware of the new location. We arrived at the old location to find it closed. I called in a panic as it was my husbands birthday. I was trying to think of a plan B. The hostess answered and explained that the new location was a few doors down. We were pleasantly surprised. The manager greeted us. Seating was very comfortable. Our server was very friendly and efficient. The new location has a full bar and our martini’s were excellent as well as the food! We have a new favorite seafood restaurant!
Food is excellent especially the Angry shrimp and Lobster! Salmon, scallops,Sea Bass were all delicious. Lobster salad was delicious too! Tables on first floor with couch seating and high back chairs are really comfortable . Dessert are great . A great overall enjoyable meal pricey but you pay for great quality and presentation. As a previous restaurant owner I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Had a wonderful meal on Saturday night. Our waitress( Jill) was excellent! However, we were seated next to the welcome table by the front door and the music from the speaker was so loud we could hardly have a conversation. Our ONLY disappointment.
We love the food ,however, and will simply ask not to be seated there when we make our next reservation. Pork chop is fantastic!!!!
TJ was an exceptional server. He went through the menu and gave us great suggestions. From beginning to end it was a great meal with great service.
Travis. Great waiter great personality attentive.
Food and service was excellent. Ambiance was beautiful, if a little dark. However, we were overcharged for wine - had Rose but was charged for more expensive Chardonnay. Unfortunately, didn't catch this until we got home. Would definitely return but keep an eye on the bill.
Great food and very comfortable seating. We had an early seating so it was very quiet and our service was excellent. We ordered the signature appetizer, the Angry Shrimp & Lobster with Sinister sauce - on the spicy side but soooo good. I had the Sweet and Tangy Chilean Sea Bass and my husband the Sesame Crusted Tuna. Both were equally delicious! Will definitely be back.
On a whim, we stopped in to Catch. We were heading to the shore after a long day at work in NYC. It was late. We were hungry. And underdressed. None of that mattered after we met our server, Tomi. She made it all right. Food was wonderful. Tomi was terrific. And we left reluctantly to finish the trip. We would have stayed longer. But we will return! Thanks for the great intermission. Well worth the stop!
Waiter was unreal.
We had a wonderful meal at Catch 19. The service was great and the dishes were delicious. Tommy was our waitress and she was fabulous. We are looking forward to coming back again soon.
This fish was good. Angry shrimp app was really good. Other app just okay. Wait time for food was really long.
Great ambiance... amazing food. Where to begin... have eaten there multiple times, surf and turf is fantastic.
Thank you A.J.!!
Catch is one of our favorite spots in town. I was there with a friend and my BF. The food and service is always amazing.
I had my favorite drink. Tropical Heat, mad with shared Pineapple, muddled Jalapeno and agave and tequila. It was the perfect mix of sweet and spicy. I will definitely have that again!
That night they had special Wagyu beef, so both my friend and my BF had it, but different dishes. She had the Tartare which basically melted in your mouth, was served with the raw egg on top. He had it as the 10 oz grilled with mashed potatoes and was in absolute heaven! It was so tender and soft that you hardly had to chew it. Absolutely amazing! My guess is if ever comes back not he menu (it was a special), he'll have it every time. I started with the always amazing Angry Shrimp and Lobster. Just spicy enough, but delicious as always. Made on a base of coconut milk, it is not overly coconut, and the flavors blend well together. It is definitely one of their trademark dishes.
As a main dish, I had the Lobster Paris for my main course. It was fresh, with perfect seasoning on the salad. There was a big claw meat and there good sized piece of lobster with avocado on top and nestled on a bed of tomato and arugula.
We ate so much we had no room for dessert!
It was great
We had a wonderful dinner, food was quit delicious. I recommend the Angry Lobster and Shrimp as an appetizer, we loved it. Our server Jill, we excellent. She was knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. We will be back soon!
Request for first floor seating was not fulfilled. The manager offered outside seating (to inhale exhaust of heavy vehicular traffic) or to help a hip replacement patient up the staircase. The latter was selected, which created much pain for the patient. Manager offered crostini to share for the inconvenience. Service staff was unfamiliar with content on plates or its recipients. Noise was much more than energetic, it was so loud we could not hear each other's conversation. The 2-1/2 pound lobster had almost nothing inside the shells. It was dehydrated. This was a total disappointment after having had excellent service and impeccable food in the past when it was "The Catch." Chris, the waiter, tried very hard to work through this environmental nightmare.
Restaurant was not crowded so noise level was good. Waiter, Travis, gave great service and had food and wine recommendations. Sesame tuna was delicious, fresh and the presentation was perfect. NYC vibe, nicely decorated with art worth looking at on walls.
We both loved what we ordered, I did think my scallop dish was excellent but was too few scallops, only 4 for the cost. My friend had a huge steak and he said it was the best he has ever had. The wine was great and the desert we split was excellent. We will return!
The food was incredible, the ambiance was wonderful, and our server Athena was fantastic. So friendly, helpful, and just made our already fantastic dinner even more amazing. Would certainly recommend to others for dinner and will 100% be back in the future.
I have been wanting to try this place, and finally got the opportunity I’m guessing due to the summer season being a little slower than normal in red bank. The host and hostess were very pleasant, our waitress Jill was very attentive and educated on the menu and preparation of the dishes we ordered, and could not have done more to help. With that said the food was as good as the atmosphere and staff. We all stuck with seafood dishes and were not disappointed at all. Very nice menu, and decent wine list. Looking forward to going back with some friends who really enjoy nice freshly prepared and different dishes.
Oysters and steak are our favorite at Catch 19. We look forward to eat Wagyu again!!!
This is a beautiful restaurant with a diverse and extensive menu. It is a predominantly seafood restaurant however it has great steaks and a wonderful chicken dish that my wife loved since she does not eat fish. Our waitress Tomi was knowledgeable about the menu and really worked hard to enhance our dining experience. We will definitely be back.
We had Kevin as a waiter and he was great. Very attentive
TJ was our server, and he was fantastic! He gave great suggestions and didn’t lead us wrong with our meal choices. We got the angry shrimp and lobster for an appetizer, I got the Chilean sea bass, and my husband got the bucatini. They were all delicious!
Our food was delicious! Fresh seafood & lovely place! We’ll definitely be back!
Food was great!
Service by Tommy was amazing! The family and I enjoyed my birthday dinner at this fine establishment. We definitely recommend this restaurant and will be coming back!
Our server, Tomi, was excellent. She knew the menu inside out, was very nice, and very professional. The food was delicious.
Great time with the family. There were a couple of larger parties that elevated the noise level but still a great time. Large portions of great food!
