Seared scallop and mussels with coconut milk is to die for
Small staff ensures a longer than normal wait time if the place is busy. Menu online is not the menu they give in the restaurant. Nothing on it for those who don't particularly want seafood. Price is not worth the food. They seem to care more about catering to Vegans more than anyone else. I would not recommend and will definitely not return. If it wasn't illegal I would call my card company and chargeback the meal that was definitely not worth the cost.
Great seafood. Some unusual dishes. Portions are large. Good seasoning, good temperature. Solid staff.
We were very pleased with the food and service at Catch. We would highly recommend this restaurant to our friends and family!
We had eaten at Catch about six years ago, on a trip to Wilmington, and loved it then. We were going to Wilmington this past weekend and decided to try Catch again. We were not disappointed! The food was just as fresh and delicious as we remembered it. All the staff were helpful and nice. The tables in the restaurant were spaced far enough apart so that noise was not a problem. We would recommend Catch to anyone who wants a great seafood diner in Wilmington.
Food was great. The scallops and mussels with yellow curry sauce was delishous. Will definitely go again for a special occasion. A bit high priced.
First time experience...food was outstanding and service even better! Wasn’t expecting such an Asian flair but refreshingly different with salmon . Cajun fried oysters were AWESOME! Cast iron Blackened mahi was excellent too.
Exceeded our expectations. We had not been there in a year...and then wondered why so long! It won't be at long until the next visit!
An absolutely fantastic dining experience...We were greeted warmly and taken directly to our table for a 7:15 pm reservation. Our primary server, Sutherlin, was an absolute joy. She was knowledgeable, friendly, enthusiastic and attentive without being overbearing and was quick with suggestions for cocktails, wine service and our meal.
As for the food, let's just say Chef Keith Rhoades has a great menu driven largely by local fresh seafood. His cooking and seasoning are spot-on and his attention to detail with plating and textures shows the mastery of simple restraint so individual ingredients can meld as a collective pleasure.
Definitely worth the trip and a shining star on the Wilmington culinary scene!
Food is wonderful! Creative recipes, local ingredients, artful presentation. Have been a fan of Chef Rhodes since his days at Deluxe, and he never disappoints. The Cajun oyster appetizer was fantastic!
My second visit. The Catch is strong on salads...this time I selected the duck salad...quite tasty.
The fried fish platter was excellent...the fresh flavor of the varieties of seafood came through. I was impressed with the crisp coating...it did not fall off when slicing. Although I was quite pleased at the absence of salt, a believe that a bit of pepper or smoked paprika could have added a bit more character to the finished product.
The acoustics in the main dining room are really bad. The boisterous energy from one table of eight reverberated throughout...detracting from the quiet conversations at the other tables. I will select the bar on future visits for a more peaceful and relaxing experience.
The food was delicious and service was very good. It will be one of our go to restaurants for special occasions.
Service and food were both excellent. It was our first time and we would definitely go back.
Wonderful food. I always look forward to a fabulous meal at Catch.
Great service, fantastic food, excellent drinks
Wonderful!!! Highly recommend!!
Although there is lots of hype of Catch in Wilmington, we were disappointed. Our appetizer, She Crab Soup was very good. I had the special featuring Divers Scallops and Mussels. We waited 45 minutes for our entrees while folks that arrived after us were served ahead of us. The mussels were cold and there were big chunks of shell in the scallops. Manager never checked with us and the waiter gave no explanation about the delay. We won't go back and we won't suggest it to friends or visitors. Overpriced for the quality of the food and service.
Overpriced for what you get. I paid $37 for 4 scallops....
More green veggies with crab cake entree. Crispier bread, suggest sourdough.
This was our second experience. Pleasant, friendly, good food.
The food was outstanding. Timing of the courses were timed perfectly. We never felt rushed. Wait staff was the best!
Obviously a “ hidden” find you could drive by daily and not give a second glance to.
VERY nice presentation and tasting food.
Have already referred, and WILL return again.
We loved the food and wine. Also got a free birthday dessert! Thank you Catch!!!
Myself and 2 of my friends saw an advertisement for half price appetizers and free wine testing! The word "free" caught our eye. Needless to say we were very glad that we attended.
The staff was very professional and attentive. The food was awesome! I mean delicioso!!! I am the finicky one out of the group and I was more than pleased with every thing. I am looking forward to the food truck when it turns warm.
Best FOOD east of the Mississippis. !!! We have enjoyed Catch since it began, only gets better each time we come.
Great experience! Everything and everyone were wonderful
Very nice atmosphere. Service was good. Food was amazing.
Very dark, difficult to read menu. Food was good but pricey. Priced like fine dinibg but little ambiance. Thought salad should have been included for the price of the entrees. Waitress very friendly.
The Catch lis fantastic. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves good seafood. The service was great and the food was amazing. The Catch is always a good Catch.
I’m a frequent diner here with Top Chef Keith Rhodes. Always blown away. Love this place!
Many times we have eaten at Catch Modern Seafood Cuisine and are always happy we chose this wonderful Keith Rhodes restaurant here in Wilmington, NC. On this visit I started with a NC Beer and a half dozen raw oysters from Surf City that were plump, juicy and very good with the house prepared side dressings. For dinner I enjoyed the house special Angry lobster baked and presented on top of Italian rice. My wife enjoyed a glass of Shelton Bin 17 chard. from Dobson, NC. and the regular grilled Salmon that she loved. We will return to Catch very soon.
Catch exceeded all expectations!! Food was superb and the service A++++. We will be back very quickly!! Awesome!
Fabulous food, service not as good.
Catch is definitely a $$ not a $ restaurant. The Thai mussels appetizer was excellent. The crab cakes and grouper were great. The sweet potato salad- not so much and the key lime pie was sorry to say disappointing. The wine was fine- a Russian River Chardonnay at $40, good value. Service was attentive and charming. Overall Very Good.
an asset to the Wilmington community
creative, quality food
a pleasure each time
great food....he'll be in a new place before long.
a little pricey for wilmywood but worth it every once in a while.
Excellent food. Great service.
Oysters and crab cakes were excellent! Servers were very attentive.
My husband said it was the best seafood dish he had ever eaten. Delicious!
