First time visit with high expectations. We were happly surprised that the level of service, the quality of food, and the environment exceeded those expectations. Yes the food is expensive, but the food presented by their executive chief was a delight. Creative dishes, fresh ingredients, and beautifully plated. Worth every penny the resturant charges. This resturant is a gem to enjoy, when you want to go out and dine, not just to eat.

What a warm, welcoming staff. We had reservations and were seated immediately. Cozy atmosphere with chic decorations. The Catch spritzer was refreshing and plentiful. The firecracker shrimp was insanely delicious with heat and a sweet coconut finish. The salmon with drunken noodles was so crispy on the outside and tender inside. It came with a selection of mushrooms and vegetables. The strawberry crab salad served as a fresh, tasty entree for mom. We shared the chocolate crème brûlée and savored every bite!

There was hair in my husbands scallops. We didn't finish our meals. He didn't tell me till we were in the car. That is the biggest turnoff. We will not be going back

The food and presentation was fantastic and service was exceptional. The ambiance was... lacking. A fresh coat of paint and simple, cohesive interior decor would have made our experience much better. We sat next to an orange wall with some kind of 3D texture on it, next to walls painted turquoise decorated with the most generic photos of ocean waves. There wasn't even music playing during our dinner, so we could hear the conversations around us. The lighting was dim - candles on the tables would have made the space warmer and more inviting. Would not recommend for a romantic dinner.

We got stuck in traffic thru Hampstead and called to advise we would be late for our 6 pm reservation. Hostess was appreciative of the call and immediately offered to hold our table for us, which doesn't always happen. Location was a bit off putting, but do not judge this wonderful place by its outside. Best collards ever. Smoked southern oysters were delicious, juicy and plump. Grouper was not overcooked, seafood platter was just right. Banana cake dessert was plenty for 2 to share. Wonderful and unusual selection of pickled vegetables w blue crab dip appetizer ( rhubarb and beet fans can rejoice). Great and creative cocktails, not cheap but worth the price to try something different. Nightly special cocktail was a not cloyingly sweet waterme!on and lime concoction, light and refreshing. Paloma smoky w mezcal and fresh grapefruit blending for another winner ( also not too sweet). Staff friendly, helpful, attentive but not intrusive. Only wish we had more reasons to be in Wilmington more frequently. Or that this little gem would open a location in Raleigh!!

We chose Catch Wilmington to celebrate a birthday and were not disappointed. Our server, Kim, was great and she will be requested on our next visit. She had great knowledge of the wines and helped with a selection that was perfect.

Excellent, seasonally inspired seafood fare; superb service, unpretentious setting. My new favorite place for a special occasion meal in Wilmington. Perfect for couples date night. Every course was exquisite- cocktails, appetizer, salads, entrees, and dessert. What a gem!

It was a lovely night and dinner to celebrate our wives birthday. Our server was excellent. The food was delicious and the portions were good. We were seated at 730 and they were out of Caesar salad. The wine bottle prices were fair. They surprised the birthday girls each with a small cake, a nice touch. We would go back for a special occasion given the prices.

Wanted to order the Seafood platter but it had catfish as the main fish. Catfish isn’t seafood to us and we don’t like it so I ordered the Shrimp and Grits. It was very good. My husband had the salmon and loved it. The Banana Cream Cake for dessert was excellent. Service was fine. Cute little place. Would go back and try something different next time.

Our meal was good but not outstanding. We were disappointed there were basically no options for those in our party who didn’t eat seafood. The crab cakes were very expensive and lacked any real taste. The sides were the best part of the meal. The service was good and the atmosphere was nice. For the price of the meal we just were not blown away. It just lacked any real character or cohesion in the meals.

What a great find! Don’t be fooled from the outside. An unexpected gem in a small, unassuming strip mall location. Staff was very attentive to detail. Presentation of food was deliberate and artistic. Great flavors. Interesting food combinations, particularly in the specials.

Tuna full of zens, replaced by mussels and scallops but half of mussels were raw, the scallops way too salty and the sauce was tasteless. Starter clams were really good. Such a pity that the entire seafood platter was deepfried rather than very fresh catfish just being grilled. Ambiance is depressing and too dark.

We arrived at 7:40 for our 8:00 reservation. After only a few seconds, a warm and welcoming hostess checked us in and said she could seat us. She then proceeded to make sure we knew the specials and had the drinks we wanted. Our waitress must have been busy, because after a few minutes the hostess came back and said she liked us so much, she was going to be our server tonight. We smiled and placed our order. She was attentive during the whole meal, and the food was wonderful! A great experience, and this was our first time.

First time here and we had high expectations, given the chef’s recent accolades. The food is good definitely, but we weren’t blown away and it is a very expensive dinner. We both had the evening specials. Quality of the seafood is fresh and high quality, preparation was just OK. Our favorite was the oyster appetizer. Service was outstanding. The interior ambiance is not that great.

The ABSOLUTE best seafood in Wilmington! Probably the only restaurant in Wilmington that actually serves fresh seafood! Consistently delicious! There are some menu staples, but the chef continually whips up amazing culinary creations…..you can taste the expertise not experimental concoctions. Service is always warm and welcoming. The staff cares about customers and will learn your name and order.
