Anniversary dinner...Chilean Sea Bass to die for! Filet Medallions awesome also!
Food was Great and our server was very friendly and engaging.
My husband had the halibut special with sweet pea risotto and it was excellent. I had the haddock with sweet potato hash and it was also very good. We would definitely order again. Ordered a chocolate molten cake for dessert and it was mediocre. Tasted watery and the chow ate lava was just ok.
Service could have been better. Our waitress didn’t show up for almost 15 minutes. They did send over a person to take our drink order but then nothing. It was busy but the servers kept trying to deliver the wrong foods to the three tables around us and ourselves. They should be better then that.
My wife and I had very nice meals. Good seafood. Prefer simpler presentations but flavors were enjoyable.
Had a billing problem of being charged for our initial choice of wine after we changed our choice, but they resolved it very professionally.. Zero complaints. Will go back again when in Illinois next trip.
The was excellent, as was the service. Highly recommend for special occasions.
Our waiter was very helpful with explaining the menu and answering questions. His suggestions were perfect like the food. We had a very nice dinner. I would definitely go back.
I had not been to this restaurant for 10 years as we weren’t living in the area. Now that we have moved back to the area, I wanted to see if the restaurant was still as good as it was. Mothers Day seemed to be a good time to find out. We were not disappointed. My wife had the salmon as part of their special three course dinner offer. She was quite pleased with her entree and the portion size. The sweet potato side was robust and very good. I had the halibut with bacon bits and a lemon sauce which was perfectly prepared. I switched creamed spinach for the pea risotto and was glad I did. We split the key lime pie which was part of my wife’s three course option. This signature restaurant dessert was very good with just enough of the graham cracker crust. Service was a bit slow as our server also had a large group to take care of. It was not significant enough to detract from our experience. My only disappointment was the prices are higher than comparable dare from other restaurants. We will be back due to the seafood focus, but not too often.
It was my first time at Catch 35. We went for prom dinner and the service was excellent as well as the food. Everyone was so nice and friendly and valet was quick. Would definitely come back!
Best Seating and table setting
The server was very attentive and accommodating . All four in our party enjoyed their delicious dinners. It was a quiet evening and a perfect spot to celebrate my father's birthday! We will return again.
We had a wonderful evening,; great service and delicious food. Please bring back the Sriracha Shrimp! Many times in the past we would come in for a drink and Sriracha Shrimp. Best appetizer on the menu!!
This is a restaurant to enjoy with someone special but for an every day outing.
Going tonight was a last minute decision. It was a 4:15 reservation. We got there and it took 10 min to get seated despite it being empty. It took another 10-12 minutes AND us asking before a server came to greet us/to get water (mind you there was literally only 1 other customer there). We were there for a good 45 minutes before they brought 2 additional place settings for our kids (the table had been set for 4 and we were 6). They had only 2 menus printed by 4:30pm. My daughter's salmon was still raw in the center so we sent it back, took another 20 minutes to get it back. The bill did not include an itemized receipt; we had to ask for it. The entire experience was very underwhelming, especially when it was NOT busy at all. We live in Naperville and I have had 2 decent experiences here in the past but after tonight, will definitely not be returning. We spent a lot of money there tonight for no good reason.
They have gluten-free bread and the shrimp/crab bisque soup was stellar.
Banquet hall style of dining, no charm. Just felt odd.
WAY over-priced. Insane. My husband got fried shrimp and fries for $30. And it didn’t taste that much different from Joes Crab Shack. And a Coors Light is 5 bucks which is great cuz I want to sip wine and my hub wants a few beers that easily adds up to a stupid tab.
We didn’t order more food because I wasn’t into the menu. Example: I asked for scallops. The dish is served on cow hash. Ok, I don’t eat cow. And since when do those 2 proteins go together? I asked about the size of the scallops and he said the serving was “4-8 ounces” total. And that’s a little bit bigger than a bay scallop. I’m looking for SEA scallops, like I can make at home (expensively) but if you’re charging a pretty penny... you gotta give a SEA scallop. So. You’re called “CATCH 35”. Why don’t you have a dish of normal scallops prepared with pizazz and then charge $35?
I had the beet salad and Chilean Sea Bass, both of which were excellent!
Brandy and Mario were amazing and made our experience out of this world. We had a party of 10 and it still felt very private. The food was cooked perfectly and every employee on Sunday night was extremely nice and welcoming even the though we were there past close.
great service and food. Presentation AND QUALITY OF THE FOOD WAS OUTSATNDING
Catch 35 is one of our go-to restaurants. Food is always good and even when the restaurant is full, you can still carry on a conversation without raising your voice. Three course Prix-fixe menu is a nice option!
This was a great choice for Datenight, my husband and I loved their food and service. Martinis were fabulous!
Outstanding food and service. Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu!
My husband and I came here for our 25th wedding anniversary. I had mentioned in our opentable reservation that it was out anniversary, and when we got there, every single staff member we came in contact with wished us happy anniversary. Our waiter was fabulous; attentive and knowledgeable. We started with the Szechuan scallops and they were simply delicious. I ordered the filet and crab legs, which were perfect and my husband ordered the Chilean sea bass, which was divine! They also gave us a complimentary choice of desserts in honor of our anniversary. We will definitely be visiting this restaurant again soon!
Catch 35 is an exceptional fine dining restaurant. I highly recommend this place. The atmosphere was romantic and quiet. The menu selection was excellent and the prices were affordable and fair. My wife and I were celebrating our 23 anniversary. The staff and the service was exceptional. I will return again.
We had dinner here for my sister's birthday, a group of 6. My sister has a food allergy and called ahead. They took it very seriously and as soon as we were seated they let her know they were preparing her food accordingly. She was even able to have a fancy drink with no issues. So glad the restaurant could make her birthday special! Great service and food!
The food was exceptional, we had out of town guests, and they are still raving about the food.
Server & food excellent. The hostess(es) need major training.
Wonderful seafood, creative preparations, terrific service. Always a special experience.
The food is always good along with the service I always enjoy dining at Catch 35
Great selection of fresh fish dishes, great customer service and very nice surroundings!
Staff was good and the food tonight was excellent. brought a 1970 Chateau Lafite Rothschild that needed special care. The bottle was no good but they went to extra measures to attempt to make sure
Once again we Enjoyed Catch 35. We celebrated my wife's birthday and service was Great.
Exceptional service, delicious food, awesome place!
Three dinners were very good. The lobster roll could have been much improved.
Food and service was amazing. Brent was very knowledgeable on the menu and was very accommodating with food allergies. Will definitely be back!
Good food Chilean sea bass was awesome, kids had the fried shrimp which were okay. Would like to see more choices for the wine to get a glass instead of buying a whole bottle.
Excellent food, service and overall experience! I can't wait to go back!
Just a wonderful RESTRAUANT! We live coming to a nice dinner once a month. Every dish is a culinary winner. Service is also exceptional... This past visit we visited for the Sunday SPECIAL bar menu is half price... Jess our server is like family. Treats us SPECIAL and we appreciated it. Always a winner.
Food was excellent as always, server was attentive. We were sat for our reservation right on time and were not rushed into ordering all courses at one time.
We came in to use a bonus gift certificate that is set to expire next weekend. I must have missed the fine print about dining on a Saturday. Unfortunately we will be unable to use it now, should have read it all. Will just be a little more hesitant about purchasing gift cards with bonus gift certificates going forward.
We had another great meal at Catch 35. We made reservations and our table was ready as soon as we arrived. Our waiter, Brent did an awesome job recommending drinks and food which did not disappoint. Every course was timed perfectly with our food arriving hot and delicious. The scallop appetizer was excellent as was the halibut. We had a great meal and evening at Catch 35!
Third time here, second time with the same waiter. The food here is very good. Several great appetizers to choose from. Favorite beef item is tenderloin medallions. Just fabulous with the roasted garlic and spinach. Favorite seafood is the halibut...either halibut...but the sweet pea risotto is wonderful with the filet and a worthwhile up charge on the halibut t-bone. The waiter is just a fun guy with a lot of personality and a great mustache with a story behind it. Thanks for another great meal, back in town in November and will stop again!
