Catch 35 - Naperville Ratings and Reviews
Well... we had a reservation at 7:45 pm and got the table at 8:30!!! The management ( of site) sucks! Our server Emilio was great, but the kitchen run out of our favorite dishes before we had a chance to order it. Same with the drinks! I ordered Dragonfly martini and they run of of the ingredients for the second one. The food was good, but I’m not coming back. For the price they charge the place sucks! Sorry to say it, but I would not recommend it to anyone .
We enjoyed their prix fixe menu tonight. Started with a lemon drop and glass of Malbec-both were great! We both had the Caesar salad, to start-perfectly dressed, followed by the filet mignon medallions - perfectly cooked! The side dishes-creamed spinach and roasted potatoes and garlic were delightful as well. Took our desserts (key lime pie and pecan pie) home because we were stuffed. Service was on point as well. Always enjoy our meals here, we will return!
This is my favorite seafood destination. With a prix fix menu very affordable with a good selection ranging from seafood favorites to steak options. Each meal is carefully prepared with perfect side dishes including a fresh vegetable. Desserts are awesome and homemade. The wine choices offer plenty of choices in taste and price to match any palette and wallet.
I had dined there in past and was pleased but this time was not they ran out of an item that I ordered and told me later and the female manager was not friendly. They should know what the kitchen is out of so the waitress may inform you before you put an order in🙁
Food and server were great, in general. The reason I down rated from 5 stars is because we were there for our wedding anniversary and the restaurant actually charged us for the celebratory dessert they gave us for our anniversary even though we didn’t order or request it. Other restaurants of this caliber have always provided the celebratory dessert as a complimentary item and not charged for it. In addition to that they brought out one person’s main course dish 10 minutes before the other one, so one of us sat there with our meal in front of us waiting for 10 mins until the other person was served. Perhaps it was an off night for the staff, but when you are paying over $45 a plate it’s not unreasonable to expect better coordination. The manager did make an effort to visit our table and apologize for the timing error without us saying anything, but to charge us for the dessert was just plain tacky.
This is one of our local favorites for seafood. Fish is of high quality and consistently well prepared. We always eat early in order to enjoy quiet conversation in the comfortable booths. However, on our last visit, as our meal proceeded other diner groups began to arrive - although the restaurant is large and was almost empty, all the new groups were seated directly around our booth thus ending the opportunity for quiet conversation. Perhaps the management could spread dining groups more evenly around the place when it is empty.
What a lovely birthday meal I had at Catch 35! We hadn't been there in a while, but when staff recognizes you and welcomes you back, it is especially nice. Food was fabulous, even down to the yummy sourdough and butter. I had the salt roasted beet salad and swordfish - all mouth-watering. Hubby had crab and shrimp bisque and crab cakes; equally good. Always delicious desserts too. Our server was professional but very friendly and left us to our ease. We will be back ... and not just for an occasion! Thanks, C-35!
The restaurant was very nice, the server Brent, was nice and very informitive, took his time at each table and conversed politely. When reviewing Catch 35 while making reservation, as it was our first time there, saw good reviews.
Was expecting more considering the prices that they charge. Everything is ala crate , salad potato, veggies. Probably won’t return, I live 1/2 hour from there and seafood restaurant near me ,Tin Fish, just as good if not better at far less cost.
