Everything was wonderful!
We wanted a great restaurant close to the theater we were going to. And that’s what we received.
Victor was a fabulous server very attentive and understanding of our time constraint. The Chilean Sea Bass was very good.
Lovely lunch. Nice options for light appetite, including crab cakes and a nice tuna with a spicy Mediterranean sauce. Service was super and the atmosphere great for visiting.
Great meal in comfortable surroundings. The five of us were seated at a round table which was perfect for our dinner discussions.
Service was very good. Food was good. Not very expensive for Chicago.
The food and the service were both excellent. Will definitely go back again.
The staff was fabulous nice and courteous. I would highly recommend Catch 35
Birthday dinner. Very nice
Great spot we always go to when we have an event in the north loop and need to be south of the river. Right by Goodman and Chicago Theatre. They validate parking. Fresh seafood and delicious short ribs.
Really enjoyed attentive service and the Jazz ambiance with the Dee Alexander quartet!
The food was excellent but our waitress was what made the experience really great!
I went to Catch 35 for the first time to celebrate my mom’s birthday and it was an overall pleasant experience. The servers were very accommodating and made the occasion even more enjoyable. I ordered the shrimp risotto and scallops and it was very tasty. Different from what I expected the risotto to be, given the way it was prepared but still very good. I would definitely go back and try something else on the menu, since there were so many great options to choose from.
Javier was awesome
Great place for dinner before the theater. Liked the crab cake siders.
I enjoyed our girl’s night dinner. The ambiance and cuisine were great. Our server was adequate but not very personable. But overall a very nice experience.
Super fresh seafood, and responsive service. A great place for pre-theatre dining or cocktails.
I informed them that it was my man’s birthday and no one wish him a happy birthday. one of the Service told me to tell him that they say happy birthday
There are a lot better seafood restaurants in proximity for a comparable price. The food was mediocre at best. The decor felt dated and tired. The service was outstanding.
Perfectly prepared sea bass and whitefish but most of all service from Aric was impeccable
Absolutely delicious!! Perfect choice for date night
It was good. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was good, a little tightly packed for my taste, but still easy to have a conversation in. There was live music at the front, but you couldn't hear it from where we were in the back. The drinks were delicious! We had a dragon-fruit martini and a blood-orange manhattan. The food was just ok. She had the combo platter, which did have a lot to choose from but felt basic with fried fish, butter shrimp, crab cake, and brussel sprouts. We even joked that they sell cheese biscuits - which completed the fancy Red Lobster-esq menu. I ordered the sword fish and found it bland. I stole her lemon to make the caper sauce sharper. The city is packed with options for food, so at 165 for 2 dinners and 2 drinks each (no dessert or starters) seems like a lot to ask for something I can eat in the burbs.
service was excellent , restaurant is beautiful , food was really good, portions were small , pretty expensive , parking is hard to find ,
A nice night with good food and service. Room is a bit dated but not bad. Good service.
The food was awesome! I had the shrimp and scallop risotto and the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream! Excellent. The live music put the icing on top of the evening.
Catch 35 isn’t what I remembered it to be. The seafood was average and slightly over cooked. Not worth the price at all.
Everything about Catch 35 was fantastic. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. I will be going back and will spread the word that this place was perfect for a night out in the city.
My birthday with great friend.
Really great evening
Delicious food and best server.
We had an excellent waiter, Eric, who made great recommendations on the oysters (delish) and the wines. We were pre-show diners, and dinner came out incredibly fast. I wish we could have had more time between courses. Skirt steak was excellent and the shrimp and scallop stir fry was good but very saucy, and I think I would order differently next time to better enjoy the taste of the seafood. The only real disappointment was the creme brulee, clearly refrigerated for a long time and the sugar crust was old and cold with a moldy raspberry on top.
Pad Thai and stir fry shrimp and scallops fantastic - Bread perfect - like good bread with a meal
The atmosphere of the restaurant was great. People were conversing, plates were clinking, and there was a jazz ensemble playing that was at the perfect volume to enjoy the music but also have a conversation with your company. The food was impeccable and I could have honestly ordered a second helping because it was so delicious. I loved the décor and the upscale but still somehow casual feeling of the place. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Catch 35 provided an excellent meal with outstanding service. The seafood that they specialize in was top rate, very fresh and perfectly prepared. I asked for a couple of extra very large shrimp in the cocktail appetizer, and they were happy to oblige for a reasonable additional cost. Place is expensive but not out of line with similar Chicago restaurants. I'll be sure to go back next time I'm in the city.
The waitstaff, food and atmosphere was excellent! Will definitely return on my next visit.
While the prices are a bit high the food is really tasty.
We though the seabass was excellent and the schewuan scallops were very good.
Lava cake also very good.
Half price on certain bottles of wine on Mondays is really nice.
Service was good but occasionally lags between courses.
The taste of the food was great. I had the Chilean sea bass and the presentation was lovely and tasty.
I have been coming here for years and there were some things I miss from the old menus. For example there was a fish dish that came with a delicious
Pot sticker. And there more unusual salads with berries etc. The sides seemed more matched with the style of the food and rice wasn’t a side. It came with dishes where appropriate.
With all I said I want you to know that everything tasted good….The service was lovely and we will definitely be back.
We used to go to Catch 35 often and always counted on a wonderful menu and a delicious meal.
This is not the pre- Covid Catch 35 we remember. Limited menu, both fish dishes were dry without enough sauce. Even the Caesar salad was overloaded with dressing that made the lettuce limp.
Did not have anyone come around for a second glass of wine.
Easy reservation. Seated quickly. Took 10 minutes to get drinks but rest of service was good. Food prepared well and delicious. 2 of us had the swordfish which was prepared perfectly. One had the poke bowl and the 4th had the mussels which were excellent. Key lime pie and sticky toffee cake were shared and the perfect sweet finish. Would definitely return
A pleasant atmosphere with attentive wait staff and good food at a good price, what could be better?
Great service and excellent food. We had the seafood Cobb salads. Fantastic dill lemon dressing.
