Catch 35 - Chicago
The menu offers variety, appeal and flavor with the city’s freshest seafood and steaks, such as Chilean sea bass, Szechwan scallops, seared Yellow Fin tuna, a bone-in rib eye and a chef’s cut New York strip. Whether you’re dining for business or pleasure, every experience is special at Catch 35.
Join us for live jazz Tuesday through Saturday with the Eric Hochberg Trio led by Eric Hochberg, one of Chicago’s most well-known and versatile jazz musicians.
The food was great, the recommendations from the server was perfect, the service was very nicest
We ate dinner in the bar area so we could watch a football game. There was a band playing in the center of the bar yet you were still able to have a conversation.
The service and food were amazing. We will be back next time we are in the Chi
Always a good time with great service and food. Great for those of us from one of the coasts who want good seafood in Chicago
Normally one of my favorite restaurants, Catch 35 was a little disappointing this time. The soup was not at an acceptable temperature and the service was a little lacksadaisical.
Food was good not great. Lobster & Crab legs overpriced and was good. Expected more...
Nice elegant restraunt with music in the background. We were placed at a table next to the kitchen door where there was a lot of noise and commotion so not ideal. I would ask for a table not next to kitchen when resrerving in the future. Sea bass was excellent and better than the salmon but food still very good. Not my favorite but definitely worth going there again and keeping on list of places to have busineess dinner.
Great food and atmosphere. If you have theatre tickets, they will deduct the valet charge from your bill.
To be honest, we chose this restaurant due to their free value parking offer for theater attendees. We had tickets for a show at the Cadillac Palace theater, and I was looking for both dinner and parking. We had previously dined at the Naperville location, so we were confident that the food and service would be great.
They were. We were seated promptly, our server was fun (although he did make us wait a bit too long for a drink refill - the only reason my star rating for service was not a 5) and the table bussers were outstanding! One even cleaned up a small drip of sauce from our appetizer before our entrees arrived. This is one of the biggest differences between a place like this and some of the other places we have been recently that purport to have high quality service, but don't always deliver.
The valet folks were great and our car was on the curb when we returned after the show.
Free parking, a great meal and a relaxing night out. Couldn't have been too much better.
Outstanding seafood and great service. The Maryland style crabcake was the best I have had outside of Maryland. The sea bass special was to die for.
Hostess was rude but servers and food were great.
Catch 35 offers Chicago’s absolute finest jazz musicians. The food is wonderful and the ambience in the bar is unmatched with a view of Cicago river and marina towers.. a truly memorable experience!
Great restaurant in chicago downtown area. I would definitely recommend.
Loved the ambiance and the halal option very nice spot to take someone out and have a good time
It was NYE and our anniversary. The restaurant was very nice about it and gave us one free dessert. We loved the food, the music was great. Too bad we were told it will stop at 9 so we made our meal reservation earlier. Actually the music continued after 10. Everything was great except one little thing. We were seated next to the steps and the waiters kept depositing the meals they served to other customers next to us while they were serving them. It lasted only a few minutes each time but maybe there is the another way of doing it?
Great New Years celebration
Fishes were overcooked. Very dry. Appetizers were great.
Steak was good
Portions were more than ample. Shrimp-lobster bisque was delicious. Scallops with short rib hash delicious. Hash was an interesting accompaniment.
The food is excellent here. Our group tried 4 different fish dishes and the filet mignon medallions. Everything was great. The lava cake dessert is outstanding.
We did a post theatre meal after Fiddler on the Roof. The meal and the service made our day out perfect.
Table next to us was way too loud. Plus on phone watching football game to loud
A birthday weekend in Chicago topped off with an amazing dinner at Catch 35. Great waiter, wonderful jazz musicians at the bar. All in all a great night. Oh and the Szechuan scallops are flipping AWESOME!
I wasn’t in love with my sea bass. I ask for the quinoa plain but it was extremely salty. My husband thought his was just ok too
excellent job by waitress and staff (hosts and valet!) and excellent value for high end restaurant. steak cooked to perfection! will return!
Loved the place. The haddock was one of the best fish dishes I’ve ever had. We shared the dish and couldn’t even finish it. We would definitely return.
Brent to dinner to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday
Great place for seafood. Enjoyed eating in lounge listening to live jazz.
Everything came out very quickly, cold and poor quality.
This is a good place to have a conversation during dinner. The tables are nicely spaced so as to avoid a cramped feeling. The Chilean sea bass was a peak experience. Everything was well done: martinis, salads, dessert. An excellent seafood restaurants that also serves superb beef.
Excellent! Great food!
Food and service was superb - Sheila responded to our family, met our needs joyfully and expertly provided just the right amount of presence. All meals were picture perfect - 3/5 of us enjoyed the prefixe menu...this was excellent and very much appreciated from a value perspective. We will be glad to return - thank you.
Very enjoyable evening meal.
Two of the four members of our party thought dinner was excellent (sea bass and filet). The other two, grilled salmon and mixed grill, found their entrees to be average. Waiter was average. Forgot our appetizer and was late to bring the glass of wine ordered with the entree. Rather lackluster and unremarkable in terms of ambiance.
Best place, highly recommended for anyone with a taste of seafood.
A vegan walks into a seafood restaurant....and gets the best meal ever! Such excellent food—grilled tofu appetizer with sweet chili sauce, then an amazingly large, fresh poke bowl with grilled tofu, seaweed salad, avocado, veggies, and jasmine rice, so much I couldn’t even finish it. The server was very nice and took all our questions easily, no problems at all. The overall pace of service was a bit slower but e had planned in extra time before the theatre show. Will definitely return. Oh, and my non-vegan friend was just as satisfied with her mahi-mahi dish!
Christmas dinner with family
It was a lovely evening; delicious food and better service!
Pre theatre dinner - Hamilton!
We flew in from North Carolina to go see Hamilton. Totally met our expectations!!! Highly recommend.
There for my Birthday & had a wonderful time!
