Very intimate and relaxing atmosphere. The service was outstanding. Food was mouthwatering. I've added this restaurant to my favorites list.
Seafood pasta tasted like it was a week old. Service marginal at best. Left 3/4 of the food and server said nothing. Great location, awful otherwise.
Food was bland and forgetful. Perhaps some of the least inspired cooking I have witnessed in quite some time. Waiter was very friendly and professional, so it wasn't his fault. I would not recommend this tired spot.
Waiter was hopelessly unfamiliar with the menu and wine selections. After salad, entree was served with no utensils- I had to ask three different people for a fork and knife. Waiter insisted on filling wine glasses to an obscene level like he was trying to get us to finish the bottle. There are way too many really good restaurants in DC to waste time on this one.
Food was pretty good, though nothing was particularly memorable. We ordered a full-sized pasta entree and a few small plates; the small plates were generous (almost as big as the entree). Service was pleasant and efficient, but more attention was given to larger parties, and the waiter counted his tip in front of us (we were using a Groupon).
I couldn't stop eating the small plates!! Everything tasted great, but I must give a special shout out to the oysters Rockefeller and oysters imperial. The mussels, the lamb chops, the octopus...I could go on. The service was great and the house wine was very good. Just writing this makes me want to go back for more.
This place is not large and the tables are a bit close together, but the food totally makes up for it. Please go!!
I took my friend out for her birthday at lunch. The food was outstanding. We ordered off of the 3 course meal menu and it was a nice selection. I got the cod and my friend go the chicken. Both meals were amazing. We will definitely be revisiting.
The food was all very delicious, we had fresh oysters, osso buco, and a salad. Unfortunately it was like pulling teeth to receive any service here. From start (seated) to finish the entire meal took a few hours. Generally not a bad thing if your waiter is helpful however we were only served, along with food, two to three cocktails of which I wanted more.
I made reservations there for a friend's Birthday. It was everyone's first time and we were very impressed with the customer service and the food. I would recommend the restaurant to others!
Catch 15's fixed prix menu cannot be beat. Three courses for $20, with a solid number of appetizer/salad and entrée choices and very good quality. The service also is impeccable. I will return.
Just had a delicious birthday lunch. Ordered the business lunch menu-had the salad and the fettuccine with salmon. All tasty and fresh. My co-worker ordered the polenta and mussel appetizer and it looked so good! We finished our lunch with tiramisu to go. Always a treat to go to Catch 15
Catch 15 is a must try. I visited the establishment for a birthday brunch. Everything was top notch from the service (Angel was our server), the atmosphere and the food was just delicious. I would definitely recommend Catch 15 for any occasion but especially for a romantic dinner or Sunday Brunch. I can't wait to return to my new favorite DC restaurant. The bartender or manager that worked Sunday, 2/26/17 was excellent as well, very friendly.
Love the ambience and the servers are so nice.
We opted for the regular menu on a Sunday afternoon though they have a popular brunch. The corn crab soup was wonderful. We split several dishes and we were sorry we didn't order two. The scallop appetizer is tasty but very small-- three piece of scallop that only add up to one and a half scallops. On the other hand the braised lamb "small plate" was as large as the entreeNd very good. The rockfish was excellent -- a little crispy but also very moist with excellent spinach on the side. We will definitely return.
