The food and service are outstanding. The paella and rib eye steak were excellent. Catas is also great place for Happy Hour on weekdays.

great and unique place in newark that was nearly empty on a thursday night. this place needs support. and others. if newark's revitilization efforts are to succeed. reccomend it!

The website showed that the restaurant opens at 12pm. We arrived at 1220, they were still cleaning and setting up. They advised us that they don't open until 1pm. We advised them of the website, then we were told that the website also states their open till 3am when in fact they close at 11pm...OK?? maybe the website should be updated. We just walked over to a table and waited for them to finish up. Despite this, the food was delicious! Very tasty, very well presented. The Mimosa carafes were pretty good and a great price! Our server was not the friendliest at first but eventually came around. We really enjoyed our Sunday Brunch and will be back, just not as early.

Fresh, delicious Iberian dishes and fast, friendly, and attentive service defined our visit to Catas. It came highly recommended from a friend and he was right—one of the best, authentic Iberian meals in Newark. The Gaudi-esque ambience makes this a truly unique dining experience.

Went there before the ICL soccer game with a large group. Service, food and ambiance was excellent. A shirt walk to the stadium. Highly recommend.

Four of us thoroughly enjoyed the happy hour prices on drinks and tapas. We especially enjoyed the wings, meatballs, mushrooms, and potatoes. Well worth a stop.

Went here for a bite after game at Red Bull Stadium to wait out traffic. Great friendly vibe, relaxed - everything was good. Perfect for what we needed.
