No need for this place to be on OpenTable they don't even operate a hostess.

We dropped in with a 6:30pm Open Table reservation made less than an hour before our arrival on a Friday night. Snowing heavily outside, so we opted to stay close to our vacation home for dinner that night. As we were led to our table in the restaurant, we noticed that all the bar seating was full while tables remained on the floor. Should have taken that as a clue. Our table service was sporadic and we waited 15 minutes after ordering for the arrival of a small dinner salad to start the meal. One of our entrees -- a spicy pasta dish -- arrived with the telltale dried patina of a delayed stay under a heat lamp. A pizza that touted basil among its ingredients was topped with just two, inch-long julienne strips of basil. We decided to treat the food as fuel, conversation as the high point of the night and made note of the busy bartender handling his bar duties as well as buzzing throughout his bar tables with water pitcher, drink refills and more in hand. Next time, we'll make sure to head straight to the bar and decide after a drink or two whether to stay for the rest of the meal.

The food was good. Some things were very good and others were average. The down side was the service. Unfortunately it took 40 minutes to get our drinks and appetizers. There were several other incidents that added to our experience in a negative way. We asked for a manager and was told that there wasn't one. No one ever apologized or offered any type of explanation.

Food was solid. Had the lamb gyro which was very good and all the ingredients were very fresh. The service on the other hand may kill this place. The restaurant was maybe half full and had adequate staffing, but our waitress was barely to be seen and was extremely inefficient. She was always running around, but kept forgetting things and would have to make multiple trips (e.g. You'd ask for utensils and she'd only bring a fork, no knife, no napkins, etc and would take minutes before the other things would show up). She was nice, but seemed ill equipped. We could see other tables getting frustrated at similar things to the point we were all hunting for our own things like plates and such. I'd write it off to a bad day perhaps, but other reviews indicate that this is typical service here.

They'd have a decent establishment if service could get sorted out as food is good.

We really enjoy Castle Peak! Have never had a bad meal there and love the casual ambiance. It is a great place to meet friends for dinner.

Awesome food and service. Very reasonable prices. Great atmosphere, casual but very nice. Flat-iron steak and tuna appetizer were phenomenal! Definitely going back!

Terrible. Had Open Table reservations. Got seated and waitress took our order. 30 minutes later she hadn't brought us any drinks or apps. I went to the bar to get the beer I had ordered. 15 minutes later I had finished my beer and our water glasses were empty. No server had been by in 45 minutes. I went to the bar, paid for my beer and left. The place wasn't even 1/3 full when we were seated.

Overall decent meal. The menu is a little all over the place, so it's hard to figure out what to order. But the flat iron steak and the salads were very good.

Went while on vacation in Avon. Saw good reviews on Trip Advisor and decided to give it a try. The service was fine and the food was very good. Salad, meals and dessert was all delicious. Not cheap by any means but the quality matched the pricing.

Started off ordering drinks. Drink was not what I ordered. Bartender was obviously annoyed at this and marches out from behind the bar holding a bottle of vodka. He says I poured it from this bottle. When I tell him it was not correct, he again argues, but did ask if I wanted something else, I guess that was something. Food was mediocre and I might have enjoyed Burger King more.

I guess this place is new, they have all these old wines from the previous establishment at half price... Really good deals... Outstanding food, kind of surprised, pork chop was really great...

Great surprise on quality of ingredients & prep. Pizza had excellent thin, crispy crust with delicious toppings that tasted as described on menu. Prosciutto wrapped fish perfectly cooked with side of asparagus still crunchy. When ordering second cocktail one ingredient wasn't same as previous but waiter explained it may taste different and why. Fine dining food for reasonable prices! Give it a go!

A nice place for quick/casual dining--not fancy but food reasonably priced with ample portions.
Staff is very accomodating. The only issue with this restaurant is that on a cold night the room is chilly--all glass walls make it a challenge to heat I suppose.

Fantastic food for a reasonable price. The food was surprisingly good...the restaurant has a sports bar feel to it and is in a strip mall, so I wasn't expecting the food to be that good, but it was! They accommodated our party of 9 easily and gave us great device.

The food was by far the best food I have eaten in a long time! The only irritating things was that they had an included gratuity of 20% I do not like to be told how much I have to tip! Tipping is something one does to be nice and show appreciation but when it is included it becomes an irritant! Next time I would like no tip added or options for me to add it. Displaying suggested tips of 10% 15% or 20% gives me the option to choose what top without doing the math and then I feel like I am being nice on my own account not being forced by the restaurant! Otherwise everything was awesome and a place a will talk about for years to come!

It was a good dinner. The service was the standard for a quiet hometown bar. It looks like the bar area is good for locals. Overall it was good but nothing great. If you have a big group they have plenty of room

We went for lunch and almost turned around when we saw the location is a shopping center opposite Walmart, but we are so glad we stayed. The food was innovative, delicious and high on the comfort scale. The devilled eggs were great, the fried brie sticks w. blueberry compote were a succulent new twist on the traditional cheese sticks and the pork/shrimp wontons were fantastic with the soy honeydipping sauce. The highlight was the Buffalo Tempura Shrimp Po-Boy. The view of Vail valley was a nice surprise in spite of the Walmart. There seemed to be only one server on duty and she was spread too thin, but did her best and was very helpful. We cannot wait to return when the weather is warm enough to eat on their large view-patio.

Had no trouble obtaining a reservation the night before for 6 people at 7 PM the week of Spring Break... should have been my first clue. Restaurant was 3/4 empty upon arrival. Ordered Tuna Poke for appetizer which was fairly good. My daughter ordered a Ceasar Salad and she received a plate of chopped up romaine lettuce with what appeared to be Kraft powdered Parmesan all over it. No dressing. No croutons. When we inquired about dressing and croutons they informed us they were "out" of both. Steaks ordered were pathetic excuses for steak... overdone, thin and dry. Really disappointed with this place because it has the potential and location to be great. Will not return.

I choose the Grill because it has outstanding reviews, for a family/friend dinner. Happy to say it totally lived up to reviews! We had a $35 bottle of wine that was outstanding (red blend), excellent Ahi Tuna meals, and a great special sirloin that came with a nice caesar salad for a very reasonable price. The fried brie appetizer also was outstanding. A group of seven people and everyone came away with great things to say. Highly recommend!

We were tired of paying Vail prices for dinner, so we took the 15 minute drive to Avon based on an ad in the paper for a $20 prime rib special on Fridays. Glad we did! Good food ar fair prices. Small restaurant, so i recommend a reservation. Not sure that helped. We still had long wait. Worth it.

Our party of 6 had an 8PM rez. We arrived and were seated at a 'high' table (designed to seat 4). We asked about another table and were told none available…the empty ones we were looking at were 'reserved'. At the end of the meal, the host asked how things were. We discussed the table issue again and were told that these tables were reserved. How long do you hold a reservation for without a show up?

we recently moved to the area and have been working on our house a lot. At the end of the day we are too tired to cook so we head over to the Castle Peak. Its comfortable for all types of people. You can see guys coming in for a beer after work or couples on a date. The restaurant is large so you can be in the thick or in a corner for more privacy. The outdoor deck seems nice although we have been unable to use due to the rain but someday..
