One of the best meals I’ve had! I will definitely be back soon.
Our server Caitlin was very attentive. We had a nice table overlooking the West Bay and the Point Judith Lighthouse. We enjoyed nice appetizers (steak tartare and asparagus) then had the dual beef followed by a chocolate incased mousse and ice cream . Food was excellent as were the views and service.
Elegant restaurant in exquisite setting. Exceptional food, beautifully presented....and professional staff. 5 star+. 2 thumbs up. A definite 10. Highly recommended!
I have heard so many good reviews and that the sunset view was lovely. They called the day before to confirm my reservation and explain their menu. Very nice.
All staff we encountered were professional. The only disappointment was the table, our view was to the parking lot! I asked if we could change our table. They were gracious enough to say yes. We happily move. But the next table had a view of the back of the kitchen. I mentioned to my husband that this view was worse.
The host heard and said there may be a table in the Sunset room. We moved a third time, but it was worth it. My poor husband. Lol!
As usual, Newport Restaurant Group service, menu, cocktails, ambiance were all in play on the evening of our dinner. Beautiful sunset, came in through the Drive, to take advantage of those coastal views. Our dinner was superb.

Excellent service and memorable culinary choices are the norm here at Castle Hill. The dining room was busy but not crowded last Thursday evening; dinner is fine dining - never rushed. The staff , working as a team, are knowledgeable and helpful in guiding you through your courses. The chef oversees beautiful presentations, truly artistic masterpieces that delight the senses. Special thanks to Caitlin for making this a wonderful Newport experience - we will return!
This is top of the line dining! We brought my parents here for a special occasion. The staff to table ratio is excellent; you get just the right amount of attention; without being intrusive. The extra touches - little treats between courses is great and makes it feel extra special and very indulgent if you want to make someone feel extra special. Great bar too if you want to get there a little early for a cocktail.
This is a very special restaurant. Beautiful location, perfect service, amazing food. Have a drink on the lawn first, enjoy the ocean and the view. The only thing bad you can say about this restaurant.................It is not cheap to eat there. Special occasions, business dinner, or fine if money is no object in your life.

a must.since you seeing how the rich lived, its only appropriate for you to experience how the ruich ate.cant say enough about the location,service, and food.its pricey.but worth it.
It was wonderful and we will be back. I would recommend they speed up slightly between courses.

Always a scenic place to eat. The service is very attentive and the house is quite beautiful with lots of woodwork and antiques. The chef does amazing things with fairly standard American food, including local produce. The presentation was artistic and delicious. Always our favorite place for marking special occasions!
We are only able to come to Newport a few times a year but Castle Hill is always on our list when in town.

Most amazing service. The staff should be commended. If you want to feel like royalty- dine here. The only negative was the decor- definitely worn. Otherwise would have given 5 stars.

It's always been wonderful but the selections on this visit were exceptional
We had a wonderful NYE anniversary dinner. Service was very good, as was the ambiance. The restaurant offered a special 5 course NYE tasting menu for all patrons. Veggie, branzino and beef dishes were excellent. For another dish I went the sausage route while my husband went for the lobster and shrimp, the lobster and shrimp was by far the winner, wasn't too into the sausage and lentils dish. For dessert the ice cream plate was good but the poach pear dish and cookie was just ok. Chocolates and a parting gift of jam at the end were a nice touch. Overall, a great meal and an excellent spot to celebrate a special occasion.
Atmosphere is upscale (there's a dress code), service was attentive, actually too fussy for my taste. Menu was prix fixe only, which was an unpleasant surprise. Food was French style and generally good, though the Israeli couscous that came with my swordfish entree was a bit undercooked. My main complaint is the price. Though we chose the least expensive option (three-course) and did not splurge on drinks, once you add tax, tip etc. it still came out to more than $100 per person, which is much more than what I feel the experience was worth. It would also have been nice to have more flexibility -- not all of us wanted dessert, for example, but with the prix fixe menu you don't have a choice.
We had a wonderful meal, complete with perfect wine pairings. Although a little on the expensive side this was a meal to remember.
Creative, friendly, impeccable service, delicious meal
Our party of 5 enjoyed a Christmas Day/eve dinner which was outstanding. Service was spot on this time around - our last visit as a couple a month or two earlier found our waiter not asking how the meals were until we were nearly done. I had questions but gave up since it took so long to check in. It was a disappointment that kept us from coming back. Decided to give it another shot since some of our family hadn't yet been to Castle Hill. Hoping any future visits will have the same fine service as this visit.
The Dining Room at Castle Hill Castle was an absolutely wonderful experience. The wait staff was not pretentious. They were attentive but not overbearing, water glasses filled when needed, all our food choices outstanding and we would order everything again. Presentation was creative. We did a prix fixed meal. The wait between the appetizer and next course was a little long. However, the wait between other courses was just right. A plus were the complimentary "cleanse the palate" and post desert of two types of home made cookies. Just before getting up from the table were were given two small boxes with more homemade deserts. This was the best overall meal we had during our week long visit in Newport. That is saying a lot because we had many very delicious meals during the week.
