We had the prix-fixe Valentine's Day menu and it was fabulous. Everything was cooked to order perfectly. We had reservations and were seated immediately. We did have to wait a little between courses but when they came, it was worth it. Place is a little pricey, we each had 2 cocktails (not top shelf) and they were $10 each so that added $40 to our bill.

We came to Castile to celebrate an early Valentine’s Day. Staff was attentive, food was quite good. We were seated overlooking the inland waterway on a beautiful evening. What’s not to like?

We were looking for a special new place to try for a notable day in our lives. We joined Club Savor on the advice of friends, and Castile looked like the most upscale place on the list. It's in a beautiful location on the Intercoastal Waterway, in a beautiful new hotel there. The reviews were very mixed, but we decided to try it anyway. The food was absolutely delicious, from the server recommended Lamb Meatballs for a starter to our entrees. Our entrees were slow to come out, so the Chef had the heirloom tomato salads brought to us while we waited (and we weren't impatient in the least). The salad was absolutely superb. Simply, but incredibly tasty. I had crab meat, lemon and rosemary stuffed whole branzino and it was heavenly. My husband had the Red Snapper and he was it was delicious as well. We split a lime coconut dessert that I would certainly have again. All in all, fabulous food. It's a bit pricey, but the ambiance and view made up for it. I have already recommended it to others.

Food was decent but not great. The octopus was flavorful and had a nice smoked taste to it. Main dish was absent of any sides and it took almost 1.5hrs to get our food from the time we arrived. Ambiance was nice but not spectacular. Waiter was knowledgeable, helpful and provided good service. Nice view of inner channel. Poor value for the quality, taste and decor. Not good enough to draw us back for a return.

Our food came out one hour late. Four out of six plates were cold. I had to talk to the manager twice about speeding up the order. He told me three kitchen staff quit. That did not seem to be my problem. It was a dreadful night! Unfortunately, I will not subject other friends to that restaurant ever again, even though my two previous were better.
Simply TERRIBLE!

Mediocre at best. The wait staff was friendly. The fried red snapper was not fried and it did not resemble red snapper. I’m glad we went for the experience, but it’s highly unlikely we’ll go back.

came for a birthday lunch for my mother. They brought a complementary birthday cheesecake that was delicious. The Cobb salad and blackened grouper sandwich were equally tasty. Just make sure you ask for dressing on the side! Also they offer a brunch menu during the week which is a rare find!

After visiting Miami, Key West and now St. Pete, this was clearly the best restaurant of all. We’re going back tonight on our last night in Florida.

My wife and I have stayed in the hotel a few times and had good experience in the restaurant. The atmosphere and service is good. We were disappointed this time because I took the waiters suggestion to try the red snapper. If was oily and very strongly old fish tasting. Sad way to enjoy a birthday dinner. We have enjoyed the restaurant is the past but would think twice before returning.

First time there. Walking in it seemed rather mousey as they had live music in the bar. Once seated it wasn't too bad. Food was good and they have a menu that has some truly distinct items. The food was good. Service was a little off but very friendly and when they made a mistake they owned it and corrected it. Definitely will go back.

My husband and I were on a date and looking for something unique, this place fit the bill. The ambiance was very romantic, our service was excellent. I tried the Fettucine with crab, it was delicious and my husband had the red snapper, also very good. The restaurant is a little above our budget but the food was awesome and we will definitely be back for special occasions.

Enjoyed the prime rib and my wife thought the crab dish was excellent. I liked the black rice, but it was much too salty.
