Casta Diva Ratings and Reviews
4 of us headed over to casta Diva Wednesday night for a fine meal with fine service in a very quiet setting - perhaps because it was a weekday? The creativity of the chef (as an example -a must try is the beets- i will say no more - has to be seen), the fine service and the casual ability to sit and relax makes me confident to visit again in the near future - a very fine BYOB restaurant that is worth a visit for a very good meal!
This was not my first visit & definitely not my last. Although it is not an extensive menu, I love the food. The last few times we dined here, Michael was our waiter & made our dining experience a lot of fun! He thoroughly entertained us & I have a very good rapport with him. The owner always comes out to greet us, which makes us feel very welcome. Great food & staff. I highly recommend Casta Diva!❤️ Patsy Bordoni
We went for the second time with friends who had been there years ago and hadn't had a good experience. The pasta was perfect, and my lamb dish was memorable. One friend who had something else said his was great, but he could see coming back the next evening to have the lamb.
We will go back!
I had been to Casta Diva several times before but long ago, and remembered it as being very relaxed. I invited a friend out to dinner for her her birthday and was looking forward to an evening of pleasant conversation. It was a Saturday and although I had made a reservation a day in advance, we were given the least desirable table. The food was as excellent as I had remembered, but the noise level was unpleasantly loud and only increased over the evening. As we were nearing the end of our meal the waitstaff asked us to move to another table to make room for a large group. We stayed (in the new place) for a short while but the noise level became unbearable. I will consider going back sometime, but definitely not on a Saturday evening.
We were there for a bachelorette party and the staff did a great job getting us secluded so we could enjoy ourselves. They were also kind and got in our fun too. Not to mention the food was top notch -i ordered the frutti and the torta and I was in heaven. Was my first time there and I will definitely go back!
We had a wonderful meal. My veal chop was cooked exactly as ordered, the cauliflower side dish was delicious -- served piping hot -- and my wife enjoyed her fish and salad. Service was attentive and friendly and the staff made us feel welcome. The menu is small but there are choices for just about any palate, albeit perhaps only one or two, at most. It is a BYOB but the restaurant has beautiful wine glasses and on-table ice buckets for white wines. A little bit pricey but considering the quality of the meal, I felt we "got what we paid for." We will enjoy returning.
Small restaurant with tables jammed together, serves excellent food priced moderately. BYO (which keeps the price down considerably). Not intimate with your date but because the tables are so close you inevitably start chatting with whomever is sitting at the table next to you.
I've been here numerous times & love this restaurant. The menu is small, but the food is excellent. The staff is always warm, friendly & very attentive. I've recommended this restaurant to many of my friends & always suggest going to Casta Diva. This is a must-go-to restaurant. You will not be disappointed!
Everything was fantastic - food, service, ambiance. However, there was an extremely loud/annoying party sitting right behind us. Apparently they "come in all the time", and they were so obnoxious that another party moved seats, and created a mini scene when moving by telling them how rude they were. Not sure what the restaurant could do, but if it's true what the group said ("they come in all the time"), then not sure I would want to dine in the same room with them again.
What an amazing restaurant! Charming exterior and interior with a small number of tables. The chef makes his appearance and is well known and be loved by the clients. The service is outstanding. The food is authentic and is based on what the chef finds fresh at the market. Can be very romantic or a great place for a small group to go in the neighborhood. Highly recommend. This is a cash only restaurant, but well worth it and it's a BYOB.
We took a chance on Casta Diva and it was well worth it. The food was delicious. The staff was welcoming and very efficient. The menu, although limited, had much variety and options from pasta to boar. The appetizers were excellent and the entrees did not disappoint. We also enjoyed the BYOB experience for a change. Overall, we would highly recommend.
This was our first time at Casta Diva and we had a wonderful dinner. Fresh pasta cooked just right, interesting menu and great food. It's a small place but we never felt crowded. It may have been the first time outside of Italy that I had had good restaurant gnocchi. And it was good.
We had some wine left after dinner so instead of the sweets on offer, we ordered the cheese plate that is on the starters menu. The cheeses were very good and a nice assortment.
We will go back.
I have been to Casta Diva many times since it first opened, and I have always found the food to be delicious and creatively prepared. Chef/owner Steve uses high quality ingredients, and puts everything together beautifully. This is one of the few places where I have never had a disappointing meal, and I'm always confident when I bring friends with me. Note that it is cash only.
Two couples went for dinner. My husband and I shared the special heirloom tomato and cheese salad and bruchetta and for entrees, I had the wild boar pasta and my husband had the wild boar shank. All items mentioned were excellent !! We loved all of it. Our friends had the lamb chops and the duck breast. They said they throughly enjoyed. My husband and I took home our leftovers...our friends ate all of theirs! We really enjoyed our dinner, as did our friends. This is now our favorite BYOB!! Excellent food and service!
From appetizers through desserts and cappucino, Casta Diva hits the mark.
The duck, the farfalle, the grilled artichokes, the pork "bolognese" sauce (that was a pasta special that evening) and more as well as the gelati and tiramisu- just fabulous. Service was attentive but not overbearing- just the right pace. It was our second trip and looking forward to returning soon.
