Casta Diva Ratings and Reviews
we had orchestra tickets and tried to book a couple of other restaurants (with no luck) for a 6 PM dinner on a Saturday night. We'd eaten at Casta Diva before and remembered we'd had a good meal and reasonably quiet as well. We invited friends and once again had a fine dinner with excellent service, BYOB, and basically the usual cost of about $50 per person. The salmon was excellent, the duck and lamb chops we ordered very good. Grilled artichokes were a treat and the desserts we tried (creme brulee and flourless chocolate cake were top-notch. Not sure why Casta Diva isn't noted more often in reviews as a go-to place in Center City
This was the second time we dined there. The menu is relatively small but still plenty to choose from. The courses are beautifully displayed, almost art on your plate. Each bite is delicious. We totally enjoyed our dining experience and will definitely be back. We like it so much that we want to keep it to ourselves so we are always assured a table! Of course, we won't!
Very intimate northern italian style cuisine with homemade pasta that rocks. Romantic and small, perfectly located near Rittenhouse Square. (Full disclosure - it is cash only but there are ATM's nearby). What is awesome? Beef carpaccio, artichokes, calamari, the beets, several types of fish with amazing, crispy skin, trofie. . .could go on and laud each menu item. Prices are great and it's a BYOB.
We walked past this restaurant many times but had not tried it. For my husband's birthday, I thought, why not?! It was outstanding!! The service was excellent and the meal exceeded expectations. I've recommended this restaurant to several people and now I'm worried that I won't be able to get a reservation!!
This is my second dining experience at Casta Diva. We brought friends with us and everything about our experience was superb. The food was prepared and presented beautifully. It was the kind of food that sits well and you think about later. The menu is limited therefore it’s made carefully. The fresh ingredients were papable with every bite. Nothing tasted heavy or had “sat in the pot all day” taste. Our server’s style was engaging, helpful and on point.
My husband has not stopped talking about his dinner - since I suggested Casta Diva I’m delighted!
We arrived at 6:15 so noise wasn’t an issue but as we left the noise was elevated.
I heartily endorse this restaurant - when food is this good, I like to say it’s made with love!!
4 of us headed over to casta Diva Wednesday night for a fine meal with fine service in a very quiet setting - perhaps because it was a weekday? The creativity of the chef (as an example -a must try is the beets- i will say no more - has to be seen), the fine service and the casual ability to sit and relax makes me confident to visit again in the near future - a very fine BYOB restaurant that is worth a visit for a very good meal!
This was not my first visit & definitely not my last. Although it is not an extensive menu, I love the food. The last few times we dined here, Michael was our waiter & made our dining experience a lot of fun! He thoroughly entertained us & I have a very good rapport with him. The owner always comes out to greet us, which makes us feel very welcome. Great food & staff. I highly recommend Casta Diva!❤️ Patsy Bordoni
We went for the second time with friends who had been there years ago and hadn't had a good experience. The pasta was perfect, and my lamb dish was memorable. One friend who had something else said his was great, but he could see coming back the next evening to have the lamb.
We will go back!
I had been to Casta Diva several times before but long ago, and remembered it as being very relaxed. I invited a friend out to dinner for her her birthday and was looking forward to an evening of pleasant conversation. It was a Saturday and although I had made a reservation a day in advance, we were given the least desirable table. The food was as excellent as I had remembered, but the noise level was unpleasantly loud and only increased over the evening. As we were nearing the end of our meal the waitstaff asked us to move to another table to make room for a large group. We stayed (in the new place) for a short while but the noise level became unbearable. I will consider going back sometime, but definitely not on a Saturday evening.
We were there for a bachelorette party and the staff did a great job getting us secluded so we could enjoy ourselves. They were also kind and got in our fun too. Not to mention the food was top notch -i ordered the frutti and the torta and I was in heaven. Was my first time there and I will definitely go back!
