My husband and I decided to have an anniversary dinner at an authentic Italian restaurant since we had our honeymoon in Italy. The food at Casta Diva took us right back to the delicious meals we had in Rome. We enjoyed the bruschetta as an appetizer and shared the best Caesar Salad ever! My husband had the Peking Duck Breast and I had the Ricotta Gnocchi. Both were fresh, perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. We will definitely be back on our next anniversary!!
Crowded but not jammed. Knowledgeable waiter and excellent appetizer and entree specials.
Definitely order a homemade pasta. They are amazing! The wild boar was off the charts tender.
Sshhh: amazing food but not noisy, not crowded, not a scene. Reluctant to give Casta Diva the amazing review it deserves because we're tempted to keep this well kept secret to ourselves...
Consistent very good. Pasta all homemade. Salmon wonderful. Caesar salad top shelf.
Great service and yummy food. Veal was particularly good with mashed potatoes. Definitely come back again and recommend to my friends.
This was my second first to Casta Diva and it did not disappoint. The food was prepared well and very delicious. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. A wonderful neighborhood BYO.
Excellent dinner and owner very willing to accomodate special requests
This restaurant is a BYOB, which makes it somewhat affordable. Still pretty pricey.
Would have been a great experience if the table near us had not been the loudest and rudest patrons a place could have in attendance. It’s a shame you can’t send other patrons a rating through open table app.
We split 3 course and felt totally satisfied. Caesar salad made with delicious white anchovies. I think this caesar is the most authentic in the city. Excellent bread. Fish and seafood combo in light tomato sauce. 3 scoops of gelato for dessert - 3 different wonderful flavors. We felt totally satisfied. The menu is small and each dish is prepared to perfection. Service was courteous and prompt. Chef/owner Steven always greets guests and makes us each feel special. I have dined here many times and will return and recommend it to friends.
The food was very flavorful and creative, I had the Salmon . Service was friendly and efficient. Had a nice time and they didn’t rush u
Great restaurant. We went for a celebration. BYOB, and they will give you an ice bucket to chill wine/champagne. Prices are a little high for the portions, but the service and food were excellent. I would go again for a special occasion.
Excellent BYO in Rittenhouse. Small but adequate menu that covers all likes/dislikes. Try the grilled artichokes -- superb. Fresh fish, homemade pastas (and they will split an order), good steaks. Service from accommodating, affable staff.
Anna did a great job knowing what to provide before we asked; great waitress!
Delicious meal. Suggestion for chef: scallops cooked perfectly. Seasoned nicely, but too much salt. Servers were attentive and friendly. Eager to please. We were sitting next to a party of 12 and noise level was so loud, detracted from the experience. Will definitely try again and request not to sit in back next to a large party.
Everything was excellent! Great food and service! Can’t wait togo back again!
Fabulous food always.
We had the goat cheese and beer salad appetizer and while not what we expected it was delicious. Looked like a petit fore with alternating layers of beet and cheese. I had the salmon which was perfectly medium. The sides were not as great - parsnip purée was too sweet with the salmon and the greens were not seasoned well. Portion was a good size. My husband had the boar shank and was very pleased with the dish. Dessert was disappointing. Got the pear in red wine with star anise and the anise overpowered pear. We couldn’t finish it.
It is pricey but since it’s BYOB. That helps. Cash only. Wish they would change that especially at their price point.
excellent food, cozy and buzzy atmosphere, friendly service
This was our first time at this restaurant. My spouse and I were celebrating Valentines Day. We always do this NOT on or near the 14th, to avoid crowds. In that regard, we did very well. We dined on a weeknight, and the restaurant was at most, half full. So, we had a pleasant, relatively quiet dinner, which is especially good for me, as I cannot hear well. We shared a pasta with octopus, and a braised boar shank. Both were delicious, with the pasta dish being especially excellent. The portions are large, and we did take some of the boar home with us. The prices of the courses may seem a bit steep, but the portions were large, and the ingredients were top notch. Also, the waitstaff was very accommodating in wrapping up the leftovers. As we finished our meal, I saw other diners arriving and being seated. One woman motioned that she did not hear well, and her party was seated in the rear, away from other tables, in a quiet spot. This impressed me. We will return, no doubt, as the restaurant is very near our home.
Really good food in a nice setting. BYOB makes it even more inviting.
We like this place and go often. Great food, service, and ambiance. Cash only and BYOB.
I've never had a bad meal here. The staff is attentive - the kitchen is creative - and being a BYO it is a great value!
Always lovely. Terrific service, cozy space, interesting, inventive italian.
We came on slow day and had high expectations after the apps but our dinners were cold
Calamari was as good as any I ever had. Dinner was amazing. Wasn’t super thrilled with the tiramisu, but was still good. Just had better. Overall a wonderful experience from service, food, clientele we met. Definitely going back.
Good food and service. BYOB keeps the price reasonable.
we had orchestra tickets and tried to book a couple of other restaurants (with no luck) for a 6 PM dinner on a Saturday night. We'd eaten at Casta Diva before and remembered we'd had a good meal and reasonably quiet as well. We invited friends and once again had a fine dinner with excellent service, BYOB, and basically the usual cost of about $50 per person. The salmon was excellent, the duck and lamb chops we ordered very good. Grilled artichokes were a treat and the desserts we tried (creme brulee and flourless chocolate cake were top-notch. Not sure why Casta Diva isn't noted more often in reviews as a go-to place in Center City
This was the second time we dined there. The menu is relatively small but still plenty to choose from. The courses are beautifully displayed, almost art on your plate. Each bite is delicious. We totally enjoyed our dining experience and will definitely be back. We like it so much that we want to keep it to ourselves so we are always assured a table! Of course, we won't!
Classic delicious food with a beautiful presentation. Friendly attentive staff, with excellent service and attention to detail.
very efficient service and excellent food. The noise level picked up as the restaurant filled up but it was not too noisy to interfere with conversation.
We had a wonderful meal at Casta Diva. The food is outstanding, the service perfect. One couldn't ask for a better experience.
Casta Diva is a wonderful BYOB near Rittenhouse Square. The chef uses quality fresh ingredients and creates amazing sauces. The service was excellent. Sit by the window for an intimate setting.
Never disappoints. Great service. Fabulous food Neighborhood gem.
The food is consistently good here. I tried the wild boar shank for the first time. It was excellent, and I had enough for another meal! My husband had the seafood combo including branzio, calamari, shrimp, scallops - excellent also!
Amazing food, great service, Remember, BYOB Cash Only!
Everything was wonderful
Great food in a wonderful setting.
