My wife and I went for Thanksgiving dinner, we have done several holidays here in years prior. I specified my food allergies (nuts) on my reservation but still reiterated to the waiter, which he did a mediocre job at following through on. I enjoyed my local craft beer they had on draft, my wife had a stale Rose, the bottle had obviously been opened days previously.
First course was good, my wife had the apple chestnut soup, they did withhold the nuts from my salad as I had requested. Main course was decent for my wife who had the braised short rib, since it was Thanksgiving I went with the turkey, it was served room temperature, it was cooked properly and was moist but it had no flavor at all, no gravy or anything else to top it with, the small portion of stuffing wrapped with sausage was okay and 3 asparagus spears and tablespoon of cranberry sauce were decent. I took the turkey home to put gravy on. My dessert as I specified earlier had to be sent back due to allergens; my wife had the apple cobbler in a cold “hot” skillet. I pointed this out before he brought me the same out as a replacement; I got a warm skillet. I can honestly say I would have been just as happy with Boston Market thanksgiving dinner for a fraction of the price. We are not ones to complain much especially when at the place, not looking for handouts. I am sorry I talked my wife out of going to Eddie V’s for Thanksgiving dinner, I know the service and standards there are much better. I can not see myself going here for a meal in the future, especially not for the price point.
Ordered mimosa and the glass had lipstick. Reordered. Second glass also had lipstick. Very gross! The tab already came with 20% tip which I was not told upfront. The service was not worth 20% and customer should be the one to decide after the mean and not the restaurant/hotel even tho it was Thanksgiving.
The Mother's Day buffet was incredibly overpriced beyond the value provided. Also, when you consider the age of many of the honorees (including many with walkers and some in wheelchairs), having a 2 piece band playing at levels that made conversation difficult was a poorly executed bad idea. How they ran out of roses by the 1p seating - knowing how many groups they would have, is inexplicable. Complimentary mimosas was a nice touch but couldn't make you forget about the other shortcomings.
It's off my list for special events.
The food was good. I knew it was a busy weekend, so I made reservations for early in the evening to avoid the crowd. What happened was as soon as we arrived at 5:30 we were told repeatedly that we should take the buffet because the kitchen is behind.. and it was only 5:30. Every person from the hostess to our weighted and even the water guy made us feel like we had better take the buffet and if we chose differently it was going to be a terrible inconvenience to the all.
The food on the buffet was good, the decor nice and noise level good. Just terrible service.
This a restaurant in a beautiful hotel. That said, this is the coffee shop. The food was great, but the ambience was of a very nice coffee shop. The server was very pleasant, but didn't know the first thing about selecting, tasting or serving wine. It was a mistake to have selected this restaurant simply on the food rating on Open Table. The food was good. The evening not so much.
My wife and I each had the 2017 Valentine's Day prix fixe. We tasted six different items from the kitchen as we each ordered different things and tasted each other's food. Each item was fantastic! That seasonal menu had original takes on regional ingredients/recipes while maintaining a good balance of classic and creative.
The current regular menu looks more low key compared to the Valentine's, and I haven't tried that menu.
This was unfortunately an awful experience. I made a 12:15 lunch reservation for my wife's birthday. We ordered our meal at the same time that we ordered our drinks. It took 45 minutes for our salad to arrive and we only had someone check on us for drink refills once in that time. At around 1:15 the waiter came to our table and told us that we still had approximately 15 minutes before our food would arrive and asked if we would like to change our order to soup as he could get that to us quickly. At this point we asked for the bill so we could square up for our salad and a manager. The manager was very apologetic and did not charge us for our salad and drinks which we did appreciate. Unfortunately, the damage was done. My wife's lunch hour was long over and her birthday lunch was a bust.
Very affordable prices and great atmosphere! The restaurant serves your entrees on a cast iron referring to their name. I dined at the restaurant for a business meal while in Fort Worth. Cast Iron at the Omni Fort Worth easily applied the tax exempt certificate to the meal.
From start to finish, everything was fantastic! The holiday menu was really nice. The food was outstanding, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. We've already discussed going back for other holidays or "dates". We've already recommended to other friends.
This was our first year to have Christmas brunch at the Omni. We loved the atmosphere with the live music and beautiful decorations. The best part was the food which was amazing. Everything we ate was delicious. We did feel a little rushed by our server; however, once we told her that we just wanted to relax and enjoy our drinks and dessert she eased up and told us that she was not rushing us and to enjoy ourselves. Overall a great experience and we will definitely be dining here again and making the Christmas brunch an annual tradition.
Really enjoyed this Sunday Brunch for my best friend's birthday. The service - from the complimentary valet service to the food was wonderful. Especially enjoyed the iced shrimp and crab claws and the pickled veges. The buffet offers made-to-order omelets, breakfast specialities, salads, hot lunch items, and bellinis. Price was reasonable for the fair offered.
The menu looked so good! The starter bread not so great. But the quail appetizer wasn't as yummy as I expected after having that dish other places. The steak was extremely thin and overcooked. The green beans weren't as good as expected. The wine was delicious though. And the service was wonderful. Just wouldn't go back here for dinner.
My family and I come here often for Sunday Brunch. Thank you for always providing exceptional service and food. We have 2 young children and we are always greeted and served promptly.
Excellent food variety and quality too. Keep it up! One of the best brunches in the area.
Beautiful and peaceful atmosphere, the brisket was mouthwatering, boiled shrimp and smoked salmon very fresh and delicious. Our only disappointment was, they removed the bread pudding from the dessert table as we were arriving, 12:15 and the other desserts were not worth trying.
The food was good but the bread that came with my dish was cold (it may be intended to be but cold bread is strange to me), they brought my friend the wrong dish and did nothing to correct the situation, and the service was slow (it was very busy, so I wouldn't expect fast service, but when a table that was seated/ordered after you with more people and the same dishes you ordered is served before you it's a little frustrating).
Did dinner. Menu a bit too trendy, got flank steak, medium well....steak undercooked, veggies and potatoes good. Brisket egg style rolls as appetizer ....well, they passed near a brisket....nothing in the rolls tasted like there was brisket. Salad came with a bit of ranch....such a little bit it was hardly visible. Rolls not too bad, a bit crunchy, but the house ey butter was magnificent. I would not do dinner here again.
Breakfast the next morning was totally different. Fresh, hot eggs, several breads and rolls, cinnamon rolls, fresh fruit.....breakfast was good buffet, still not worth the price, but if lodged in the hotel, I would do breakfast there again.
Omni reservation app powered by OpenTable.....failed to function. Had to go to OpenTable website to make a reservation.....from in the hotel. Reservation, even with a convention in the hotel was waste of time...we were almost only people that ate there.
Possibly the worst food I've ever had. The place has good reviews for brunch but it looks like dinner is not at all the same. The selection was very limited and half of my food was bland and the other half was so salty it was inedible. I got less than halfway through and couldn't eat one more bite because it was awful. Our server was nice and the atmosphere was nice, we really liked the fireplace but those were the only good things. We were extremely disappointed, especially for how much the dinner cost.
