It was disappointing to learn the computers were down for payment. Not what you should expect for a $75 meal with a $25 'surcharge'. The roast beef did not have the pink center I've come to expect. The turkey was on the dry side but the gravy was good, as was the gravy for the roast beef. There didn't seem to be a large selection of sides but at least they had potatoes this Christmas. The salad was nice, as were the appetizers of squid and shrimp ceviche and cocktail shrimp. There was also gravlax with toast points, which was a nice variation. Seemed to be a good selection of desserts. As for the decor, they did have some very nice Christmas displays in the lobby but the hotel is showing its age. If you look for it, you can spot maintenance issues. I might recommend the Cast Iron but with a caveat to check for other options, if you are able.

For the price, there was not a lot of selection. The hotel did not bother to do much decorating for the holiday. The roast beef was so dry and tough I could not swallow. The food was lukewarm at b I have been to this buffet before and the food was amazing. Was very disappointed. However, the wait staff was amazing.

Christmas Buffet was very good. Food varied and good. Maybe a tad less than the Thanksgiving Buffet but would definitely return. Only blip was that the registers were down, and the staff had to go around taking credit card information on slips of paper to manually put in the information.

Christmas has always been a big family celebration however as my family has decreased I decided to create a new tradition this year and do Christmas brunch. I was more than elated to take part in the Omni Hotel Fort Worth Christmas brunch. It was more than I could have entertained when I made the reservation. The food and service were spectacular. We had a 12 noon reservation and were ushered promptly to our table with no wait. The servers were attentive to keep our mimosas and poinsettias going. The array of food was a cornucopia of all my favorites from the seafood buffet to the traditional offerings, it was all good. Special thanks to the staff and General Manager for working us in for the noon time frame. This will become our new tradition.

My husband and I went to the Cast Iron for a marvelous Christmas Brunch. We went there for their Thanksgiving Brunch and loved it. So, we decided why not go for their Christmas Brunch, too. Smart move! The stations were loaded with goodness and the Mimosas were tasty. The Chefs and Master Bakers were at their best again and the wait staff and greeter staff were so sweet and professional. The selection was unbeatable. We would go again…Easter Brunch?! Thanks to everyone at the Cast Iron…bravo! D.J. and Butch Benson Fort Worth, TX

Average brunch, no attention to details... My original 11:30 reservation was deleted, I made another one but only 11:45 was available. One person in our party is disabled - in an electric wheelchair. I called the restaurant to let them know and I was assured we would be close to the food. When we arrived we were sat at a table far from the food - next to the check in - meaning we had to push through a crowd of people every time we wanted to visit a different food station. I'm happy the restaurant was open and I'm grateful that the staff worked on Christmas. I believe this brunch could be much better. Food was average. for $120 per person I'd expect much better food and organization. For instance, 2 cooks were covering an omelette station (with 3 burners each). The line remained very long because one guest would order, then stand and wait for their omelette, blocking access to other guests - this caused each order to take 3 minutes. I arrived at the station and after the person in front of me ordered I directed them to the empty plates - they moved to the side. I then asked the cook to use their third burner to prepare my omelette (they were using two burners for the prior guest's two orders... this type of disorganization creates huge back ups and makes it impossible for disabled people to enjoy what they paid for. I would NOT recommend it. The service was poor. The food was poor. We should have left when we saw we were the only ones in the restraunt. We only went due to the menu listed online and it was cold outside, but when we got there it was a limited menu and not the menu online. The price is high and the quality low. Go down the street or eat from a vending machine.

I made my thanksgiving dinner reservation for 5pm a few weeks in advance after searching for thanksgiving experiences in Fort Worth. The Omni menu looked great, so we decided to book. My reservation was confirmed for myself and my daughter and we arrived just before 5. The Cast Iron restaurant was closed. We spoke to the front desk and the young lady was very polite, as she tried to get a manager to help us understand what happened. A male manager appeared after waiting 5-7 minutes, but he never spoke directly to us. He spoke to the front desk agent off to the side then disappeared. We were not told what happened- but I can only assume they accepted the reservation past the time the restaurant was open but did not explain or offer an apology of any sort. I politely told the agent that I was disappointed that the manager wouldn’t even speak to us, but thanked her for trying to help get some clarity. The only thing she said was that there was a bar open in the hotel, and that they potentially could make a Thanksgiving plate for us to take with us but it would be probably around $30 each. I respectfully declined. Disappointing to say the least. No thanksgiving dinner for us this year! Lol.

The mimosa station should not be in the buffet area. Paying before seating was like going to Golden Corral. Tacky!! And mandatory gratuity of 25% for a buffet was excessive. Very disappointed that there was no crab like the past. This is what made the experience exceptional. The line for turkey and dressing was close to 20 deep. Need two stations. Omelette station is a waste of time, guy never cooked much of anything. Overall, may or not be back. Not near as well done as in the past.

We have been going to the Omni over the years for Thanksgiving and the quality has lessened over time. We had to wait in a line to check in and then had to wait in a separate room until a table was ready, even with a reservation. The food quality was lower this time and inconsistent. The first round of stuffing was great and the seconds were nothing like the first serving. We DO love that it comes with mimosas and soft drinks. That's spectacular! We had an early afternoon reservation and they were already out of some dessert options.

Overall, my family and I had a great thanksgiving brunch. This past brunch was our third time coming out. However, there were a few changes that negatively impacted our experience. In years prior, the Mimosa table was placed in the reception area. This year they moved it to the main dining area. Which staff is normally much better but this year I could not even get a cup of coffee. I don’t mind paying for the tab and gratuity upfront but I expect at least a decent level of service. On top of all that, food temperature was not very well regulated (my soup was cold).

Extremely surprised the food had no flavor. The stuffing was dry and appeared to possibly be boxed. the mashed potatoes also had no flavor and appeared to be boxed. There were no vegetables to accompany the main course. The macaroni and cheese was extremely bland and dry. The staff were not joyful. I asked the girl with glasses at the dessert table if she was going to flambee the dessert, ( would have been exciting to see) and she looked like she was grieving and responded " What?" There was no joy from the staff. With the exception of the girl carving ham at the sweet yams table. She was smiling and engaged in a joyful conversation we laughed, and she improved the dull experience I was having. Your Chef also walked around as a "monitor" never interacting or smiling with any guests. The seafood area was to me the best display and full of flavor area.

The cost of the Thanksgiving Brunch vs. the quality of the food that you receive is severely mismatched. The entire brunch is poorly organized. You stand in line for your reservation; then you stand in an even longer line for turkey. If you make the mistake of getting a warm side on your plate prior to setting off to the turkey line, your food will be cold unless you opt to eat it while in line. There was only ONE turkey station on Thanksgiving for hundreds of people. The Omni dedicated more room for seating and much less room for the actual meal. My family and I hardly got to see one another. With a person watching everyone’s things at the table and the others off fighting for a spot to get food. The cost for this should be a maximum of $50 per adult, and Omni should reduce the number of people per time frame or increase the amount of stations. For our first Thanksgiving since losing our Dad, this was the cherry on top of a sad day for us. We want a partial refund for the poor experience.

We totally enjoyed our Thanksgiving dinner here. It was nice to have a change of scenery and traditions, yet still get all the holiday favorites. There was a nice food variety of all types, great desserts (couldn't try them all as I was stuffed," and not a bad deal to include bottomless mimosas as well. The food and dining experience was fit for a king.

Thanksgiving Brunch. Some of the food was great, some just okay. It was hard to find things the way the sides were grouped with the various meats. Many items were not properly labeled so it was hard to know what was what. I enjoyed it but $100 per person is a lot to pay for one meal that was just pretty good. I was not aware of the 25% extra charge in addition to $75 per person plus gratuity. In fact, I came to this app to see if I can find it mentioned. I would like to add that the Harvest salad was amazing. The turkey was over-marinated or something and didn’t taste like turkey. The shrimp was seasoned with way too much (what I think was) clove. Our reservation was for 11am so we didn’t experience lines but by the time we left there were very long lines at nearly every station. I wouldn’t have enjoyed that! Everything was beautifully presented and our server was very helpful and warm. The Omni is lovely and was a great place to spent our day.

No question the downside was how the food was flavored (everything was very bland), the number of vegetable selections there were and the wait time at the turkey carving station where the dressing was located. Having said that everything else, from the presentation of the buffet to the service to the ambience, was good. Just as an example, the boiled shrimp was flavored with ginger. They should simply allow the person to choose the dipping sauce they want to flavor the shrimp, if needed. The dressing was lacking in spices, in particular it could've used sage. The turkey was almost flavorless. On the other hand the ham was good and the breads were good. One thing they should remember is, given the size of their buffet area, they should consider having fewer people per hour in that there was a tremendous crowd within that buffet area and therefore a long wait time to get food. It certainly wasn't a bad experience, but there is much room for improvement.

My husband and I enjoyed Mother’s Day brunch. The servers and staff were attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the food selection and the drinks were great. This was our first time. We wanted to bring our mothers, but they’re still hesitant to get out the house. The kids didn’t want them to feel alone so they stayed at home and occupied the grandparents. It was a great start to what turned out to be a beautiful day.

The Mother’s Day Brunch was INCREDIBLE. No… OUTSTANDING. No… UNREAL!! Fabulous! Delicious! I have never seen such an amazing buffet filled with all sorts of foods from the best ceviche I’ve ever had (and I’ve had fresh ceviche in Spain) to mussels, an omelette station, a butcher block of meat that makes you salivate just from looking. There was a TON of food. It was all presented beautifully. I had multiple plates. My reservation was at 11am, I didn’t eat again until after 8 - I was so stuffed. And when I ate again, I was sad because my dinner was nothing like that buffet. I know it wasn’t their typical restaurant experience but I will be back for a regular meal and I will DEFINITELY be back next Mother’s Day!! Oh yeah… UNLIMITED MIMOSAS!!!
