Nice buffet. Great service. Classic ambiance.
Creative, delicious Valentine’s Day prefix dinner. Impeccable service. A little pricey but worth it for a splurge.
Stunning views, awesome service. Will definitely come back here again!
Food was poorly prepared. No sophistication. Sand in my salad. Sauces too rich. Octopus way too salty AND tough. Beautiful setting outside, but the heater kept going off. All around disappointing given the setting and the clientele. Also overpriced for the product.
The food was fresh and delicious. The view was outstanding. The service staff, for a top hotel in the US, was mediocre, slow and relatively unfriendly.
We came to celebrate a 60th birthday with 7 of us. The staff found us a quiet area for or celebration. Samantha was our server and she was amazing. She had good suggestions and took care of us all night. People had the rib eye steak, salmon and scallops and everyone was happy with their meal. The tower of chocolate cake and the bread pudding were a wonderful end to our meal. What a joy to have a meal in an elegant setting where it was quiet enough that we could hear everyone at the table and share group conversations. A lovely location with excellent food and service.
The food was mediocre for such high price tag. The service was poor as well. It took 15 minutes to flag a waiter to ask for our bill. I expected more from such a prestigious hotel.
Family and friend
This place is great for breakfast, lunch, dinner & for any occasion. The food and drinks are exceptional and the staff is excellent.
We had a very bad experience on Christmas Day. I had called several days ahead to alert them that we would have two people in wheel chairs and would need a table that could accommodate them. When we arrived they showed us to a booth that was not wheelchair friendly. I told them I had called ahead asked why they were not ready for us. They then made us wait for a table and placed us far away from any view even though there was a request made days before for a table with a view. Many view tables were empty when we arrived. The Lobster bisque soup arrived cold. We ordered four steak dishes all with sauce on the side and cooked medium. Two arrived with sauce on and two with sauce on the side. All were cooked rare. We had to aske for steak knives from someone passing by as our waiter was never at our table checking in on us. All this for a prefixed price which was way below the standard acceptable from a restaurant of this caliber charging these prices o. A holiday.
Really good well prepared food. The salads were freshly prepared with local ingredients. I like that the list on the menu where the ingredients come from. The service was attentive without being overbearing.
We lunched at Cast & Plow during the week so it was very quiet with only a few other people lunching. The service was excellent - friendly and attentive - and the food was very good. We had the swordfish wrap and red quinoa bowl, and both were flavorful and ample in portion. The fries were also very fresh. The restaurant, in the Ritz-Carlton, was very stylish and clean. We will definitely dine here again.
High prices that match the Ritz Carlton brand for very average food. They don't know how to cook a medium rare burger... it just comes out well done. Service is extremely slow, even during quiet periods. You are paying for the location, view and atmosphere. Don't expect great food nor service.
Samantha, our server was extraordinary! She displayed great attention to detail and even surprised me with a birthday cake. This restaurant has an extraordinary view of the outdoor. I really recommend seating on the patio if you are given the option. The decor of the restaurant is extraordinary and this is a true Ritz-Carlton with outstanding levels of customer service. You should definitely ask for Samantha if you ever visit!
Quality food & service & beautiful place. Same w bar great staff & drinks.
Disappointed that the weather didnt cooperate to let us enjoy the gorgeous outside patio table
I love this place. It was absolutely amazing and exceeded my expectations! I will be back next time I’m in Los Ángeles.
Highly impressed! We had a very nice dinner at one of the fire tables Saturday night about 7:30. Nothing but positive things to say about it!
I’ve dined at the bar two nights in a row. The food has been consistently excellent. Their wine list by the glass is unparalleled! I stuck with IPA this trip, and I was not disappointed. I look forward to staying at the Ritz-Carlton again for the easy elevator ride to this restaurant.
Second time at this great restaurant. Kim, our server, was so nice and attentive. The scallops were just amazing and the risotto was good too. The sugar cake brought my wife back to her childhood years. Thank you for the great service.
Nice view at sunny outside table. Good food and service. Happy to come back.
We went for our wedding anniversary dinner date. Outdoor seating has great with Marina view. Food was great and so were drinks. Our waitress was really good too in giving suggestion on the menu. Overall a great evening experience.
Wonderful day-after-Thanksgiving meal w the family. We sat outside overlooking the Marina w a tabletop fire- it was beautiful! Excellent service. Delicious food. Gluten free options too!
Our last visit was for Thanksgiving Dinner. The food, service and ambiance were top notch. I would have given them 5 stars but toward the end of our main meal the server advised us the desert station was about to close in ten minutes. Now, when you are paying top dollar for a holiday meal, and you are seated with a reservation, one should not have the desert station closed until you are ready to leave. There is no reason and poor class to rush guests into their desert at a high end restaurant. It put a damper on an otherwise perfect evening.
Service was terrible. Our waiter was very inattentive.
Excellent choice for Thanksgiving Brunch. The atmosphere was very nice and the staff was professional and accommodating to our every need. Plenty of food for the Thanksgiving brunch. The live music fit the location. Thank you for a great Thanksgiving meal.
great location and service but food choices very limited and tasting bland
Sat at bar 10min no bartender
Sat st table 30 min. No waiter. Walked out
Gorgeous view and delicious food
We made a reservation and checked in at the host station. He showed us to a table by the window. We were looking out at the boat harbor. We were immediately given a choice of water. Shortly after the server came and took our drink order. Wife ordered a Lemon Drop sweet and I got a glass of Malbec. We both loved our drinks. We first ordered appetizers, Charred Carrots with Ricotta and Burrata and Tomato. Both were very good but the carrot dish was slightly under salted and the tomato dish could have used a bit more burrata. They have salt and pepper on the table. We then ordered the Lamb Shank but substituted mashed potato for the Couscous. When it came I tasted the sauce and it was really spicy. When I ate it with the Lamb it was excellent. The lamb was really tender cooked soup vide over night so it is moist and tender. We were surprised to see the room so full but the host explained that people were staying there to escape the fire. Service and food quality didn't suffer a bit with the bigger crowd. We were too full for dessert. Check was quite reasonable for the quality. We left a hefty tip and left very happy. We live right down the walkway so I can see us coming back frequently. Very enjoyable evening.
Beautiful restaurant. Delicious food with gracious service.
favorite place for a relaxing breakfast by the water
Cast and plow has great service and fresh delicious food.
We sat outside which ended up a little hot - no umbrella over us and the restaurant would not seat us at any of the open tables that had umbrellas and stayed open through our whole meal which was annoying.
Complicated and too many ingredients small menu. Overpriced and underwhelmed my choices available. Of the four things we ordered we liked one: the fried calamari
Great location at the Marina. The food is average, and the service a bit poor. If you are looking for a nice outdoor dining and not high expectations on food, maybe it is your place
Overall fine, but my steak was not optimal. Appetizers were original, but not of high quality. Ambiance was very nice, sitting on the terrace overlooking the harbor.
Great!! The outside seating was beautiful by the boats!
Our food was just mediocre at best. One of the guests at our table ordered her steak med rare and she told him more rare than medium when she ordered it . It was way over cooked medium at best. unfortunately our waiter never checked back after the meals were served to see if everything was ok. By the time she was finally able to send it back we were 1/2 way through with our meals. Her steak came out 1/2 hour or more after we were all finished eating. I would expect more from this caliber of hotel and restaurant. With all of the great choices of restaurants in the area this place would not rate a revisit in my opinion.
Exceptional service, the waiter was the best in LA. And the food was perfect. Very nice surroundings, easy to have a business conversation, and very comfortable.
Waiter completely missed my appetizer order & when my food came I mentioned it. He said we’ll do you want it now?? I passed. It too him 10 minutes to come near & I had to flag him down to ask for more salad dressing because the salad was so dry. Fresh ingredients but dry. Salmon was ok a little on the dry side. Water glass empty & was several minutes before he refilled it. Atmosphere & front of house excellent!
