Calamari rings, breaded & lightly fried with pepperoncinis. Topped with choice of:
Served two per order, blended pork, veal & beef, simmered in a marinara sauce
Breaded chicken or veal cutlet topped with melted mozzarella cheese & marinara sauce. Served with penne pasta
The food was less than stellar on my most recent visit.
Shrimp scampi, eggplant Parma and another dish were just okay.
The pollo rabe was incredibly salty
To our server’s credit, she did have I taken off the bill
It was the first time I’ve ever been disappointed at Cassarinos
This was our second time here and it was just as good as the first time. Service was excellent and the food was excellent. I had the best vegetable medley with my steak that I ever had. My wife’s veal was cooked to perfection. Already looking forward to our next visit.
Everything was great! The service, the food, and the valet. I went there to celebrate my graduation and everyone was amazing.
Wonderful dinner and great service!
The street was closed, so no valet parking. That's why we chose to eat there. The hostess did not mention it when I made the reservation.
The food was meh. With the exception of the stuffed squash blossoms. Gravy too sweet & bland, everyone's dishes were over cooked. Super loud. However, our waiter Nick was excellent.
We have found a number of Federal Hill spots to be overrated and "touristy". Not this place! Excellent food, HUGE portions, great service, and decent, not overpriced wine list.
As usual, parking is a pain.
The service and food were amazing. Cassarino’s never disappoints.
Amazing food, great service. Would go back again.
This was my first time at Cassarino's and I loved it, the food was very delicious, staff were polite.
It was a great experience. The food was Exceptional. Service was top notch. My sangria was delicious. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Can't wait to go back.
It was my first time at Cassarino's, and it was truly excellent. Our table was in the corner, which was perfect for us. I had a cucumber mint vodka collins. It was incredibly refreshing. The vegan selection was great. My sister found something she liked very much. I had the chicken marsala and it was awesome. The desserts were also very good. We were not rushed to leave. The waiter was attentive, but not overbearing. He checked in with us just enough. I highly recommend it, and I will return for sure. Thank you.
Very Average. If you can get in to Andinos next door, do it. Much better food. Our waitress was AWOL for at least 15 minutes. All our drinks were dry. Was about to drink the flower vase full of water so I asked a waiter if she had quit mid meal. He went to get her. Veal Saltimboca had some type of meat gravy that had no taste. Definitely tasted different from our last visit. The Chicken Parmesan was like shoe leather and burnt. Again, this is the reason Andinos is full and booked by Tuesday and you can just walk in to Cassarinos on a Saturday. The place was half full at 8 on a Saturday. I definitely see why.
Good was excellent and the server was very good with a good personality. Was a very good night.
The service was amazing and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend Cassarino's to anyone interested in a nice Italian dinner.
The restaurant is very outdated. Time to do some renovations
Our waitress Megan was phenomenal, charming, and friendly. If we’re ever in the area again, we’re definitely coming back to Cassarino’s :-)
Excellent food, the sauce was outstanding. The atmosphere was nice, but it took a while for our waitress to even come by and take our drink order and then at the end for our check. Overall it was still a great place to eat!
Excellent as always! The spring pasta and scallops were amazing!
The food was delicious with very large portions. The Aranchini appetizer was the best!
Chicken saltimboca was the best and loved the garlic butter calamari, excellent service
Always a great time and great food love Cassarinos. Everyone that works there is always the nicest.
drinks & food weren't good. filet ordered medium cooked well done :(
Very good not the restaurant’s fault but the guy next to us would not stop complaining about not getting married to his girlfriend
The spring pasta dish was delicious! Finished off with an espresso martini and slice of tiramisu. The servers were attentive. Great Night Out!!!
Great food and waitstaff!
Amazing food and great service! We went two weeks in a row because we liked it so much!
Might have been just a too busy night. Noise was off the charts loud. Service, ok, but not as good as in the past. Overall the food is quite good. But, sword fish was over cooked.
My guess is overall, a little short on staff. I think we’d better get use to it.
First time. Food was great. A little loud but also college graduation weekend kept it pretty full. Will be back.
Food & Service was great! Got the chicken parmesan, would recommend.
If you’re looking for traditional Italian cooking and one of Federal Hill’s finest authentic Italian restaurants, look no further than Cassarino’s. From beginning to end, this place never disappoints. Cassarino’s red sauce is the best on the Hill. And that’s just the beginning. The pasta and main entrees are not only flavorful but plentiful leaving you with a full stomach making it difficult to skip dessert. But don’t! Save room for the cannoli which is crunchy and filled with an amazing cream unlike anything you’ve tasted before. John, our server, contributed to the best night on the Hill we have had. Bravo Cassarino’s. See you soon!
Classic old school federal hill - great food and service - quaint atmosphere
Amazing staff and amazing food
Excellent restaurant, the food, the staff and the ambient was just perfect. We went for Mother’s Day so the noise level was moderate but expected as they were fully booked. Even the COVID restrictions were in place with dividers between tables. 5 stars in my book. Will be going back for steak Wednesdays.
My wife and children have been going here for over 20 years and have never had a bad experience, the wait staff are fantastic and the food and drinks are second to none!
We went for Mother’s Day and my 40th birthday. Service was great and the food was incredible. Tables were safely apart and everything was wonderful.
Mother’s Day lunch. Excellent all around! Awesome table on the third level overlooking the street!
Alway a favorite place to have a great meal, it’s been a Providence icon for years.
Mother’s Day dinner
Food was delicious but service was terrible. Felt rushed the entire time then when my mother brought it up to the bartender he became very rude and disgruntled.
We were there on Mother’s Day so it was very busy. We were seated promptly for our reservation . We were seated upstairs where the noise level was lower than downstairs, however to help with social distancing they hung not so clean curtains between the tables.
The server promptly took our drink order. Came back shortly for apps, but took some time to take the dinner order. We waited almost 30 -45 minutes for our dinner to appear and only once did he look over at us and tell us soon. From that point he avoided contact.
Once the food arrived it was very good. There were 2. Vegans and they were thrilled that there were true vegan dishes available.
I had clams in white sauce over linguini, my husband had gnocchi with shrimp
No dessert for anyone .
