Cassariano Italian Eatery
It was very noisy because hundred times the staff openden and closed the door. Every body’s food was hot and satisfying my pear ravioli cold.
I chose Cassariano over Fin’s at the last minute and I’m sorry for that decision. Our male server on 2/24 was either overwhelmed or incompetent, perhaps both. If the place had been packed I could understand but at 1:15, it appeared to me the crunch was over. A lunch without cocktails and appetizers shouldn’t take over an hour. I also don’t get it when you pay the check and the dirty plates are still on the table! Very disappointed. I struggled to leave a 15% gratuity instead of my usual 20%.
Everything was perfect; from excellent soup of the day to al dente fettuccine carbonara.
absolutely delicious food, great service . This place is always great
The food at Cassariano never disappoints. The service is super. My husband and I are regulars in the Venice location. Highly recommend it.
We enjoyed our dinner! Our waiter did a great job of keeping us comfortable (climbed on a chair to turn down the ac!) and was attentive throughout the meal. My husband loved his seafood pasta dish, it was cooked to perfection and was a nice sized portion. I got a lightly breaded, thinly padded chicken breast with arugula salad on top and also loved it! It was very busy but we were still able to converse and enjoy each other’s company.
This is my 2nd time here. The first time we sat in the back room and it was much more enjoyable. This time the waiter sat us at a two seater in between two 4 seaters and it felt like we were in our date with two other families. Definitely should have asked to be moved to the back. Egg plant parmesan was to soupy. Eggplant stuffed ravioli was really good. Waiter let our drinks run dry after the 2nd drink and we never saw him again until it was time for bill
Excellent Italian food!!
Very crowded, but good service and excellent food. Good wine selections. Price is reasonable for this type of restaurant.
very nice authentic Italian place to eat and drink
We have eaten here many times before and came again for dinner with friends. And again we were not disappointed! Service was wonderful and the food was terrific! We’ll be back soon.
As always the food was amazing. We love the polenta and carpaccio and we got lucky enough to go when it was half price for a bottle of wine. Wonderful evening
Everything- as usual - was superb! Service, food and atmosphere were all top notch. This is our go to place for a really nice meal. We had the fried green tomatoes appetizer, sea scallops and asparagus risotto and jumbo shrimp with Parma ham and white beans. Everything was delicious and presented beautifully!
Excellent food service
After we were served, our waiter never came back to check on us or fill water. Food was overcooked
While our entrees were all delicious - the Cod Special, Salmon with Lemon sauce, Pappardelle w Seafood, and Lasagna - the minestrone that my husband and I started with was terrible. It was a watery base with no flavor and sparse vegetables - not at all worth ordering - very, very disappointing way to start. We had coffee after lunch, but that was disappointing too. Next time, I'd go back to San Marco a few doors down where we had eaten last year and really enjoyed throughout our courses.
A nice dinner. We ate in their upstairs dining room overlooking the town of Venice. That was very pleasant.
Absolutely the BEST food in Venice, Luca and Antonio's staff make the experience perfect every time.
We went early (4:30) to avoid the crowds in season. Not so keen on the shared booth experience. Too close for romantic talks. We were told one of the specials was "lobster stuffed" ravioli. After we ordered it, another waiter told the people next to us, it was "crabs stuffed" ravioli. Felt cheated. Also this special was supposed to have homemade vodka sauce. There was barely enough to taste it. Rolls were said to be "hot from the oven.." They were barely warm. The Cesar salad looked like it had been made yesterday, wilty and warm. Hardly any dressing on it at all. Olive garden makes a better Cesar salad. The prices were high, but most of the food was good. My Antipasti Eggplant Parmesan was superb. My Zuppa di Pesci was good, but again, not hot, just warm. So not sure what that problem means. Was a nice atmosphere inside. Expected a little better for $130.
Rushed by Dan the waiter and never even told about the specials. The food was very good though.
Eating out on Valentines day can really show how well a restaurant can handle the volume of customers. It is one of the busiest nights to eat out. I have to say, Cassariano's was spot on. The quality and plating was beautiful. Service, right on target. We didn't have to ask for anything, they just knew what we needed and were there to help.
Great food and service. The food presentation and taste were superb.
Veal chop overcooked.. hard on edges.
Great food and attentive waiter. Very pleased!
Great location, fun atmosphere, European decor, great service and wonderful Italian food!
We can’t wIt to return!
Food always good and consistent
WAY TOO LOUD! The place has terrible acoustics. Almost impossible to talk. And then they had a band start playing music and then it was totally impossible to have a conversation! Will never go back. The location in Lakewood Ranch is much better.
We tell everybody about this fabulous restaurant. It is our favorite in the Venice area.
Fabulous italian cuisine. Contemporary atmosphere paired with attentive service. Full bar and specialty cocktails available.
WE have dined here many times in the past couple of years and enjoyed ourselves. This time, not so much ......some of the recipes seem to be a bit off and it is soooo noisy it is very difficult to carry on a conversation. AND it is very spendy ! There are too many other places that I can spend my dining dollars at.
Good food good service
Brought a friend from out of town. She loved it. All the good was great. Service good too. We have been here many times and will be back. Prefer the Venice location to the Lakewood Ranch location.
Excellent service and food. Will definitely make this our go to restaurant to bring family and friends!
Very nice restaurant. Our waiter, Paul, was clean, courteous and informative. Our meals were very good.
Fabulous meal and excellent service !! What more could we ask ?
Went out with old friends and had an amazing time. Food for traditional Italians surprised everyone.
Best Italian restaurant in greater Sarasota area. Excellent food and service.
I ordered the salads de tonnato. The presentation was was not attractive, the green beans were chopped and I could only find 2. The tuna Wes dark and not a nice white albacore . Very unsatisfactory.
Wonderful food and service, as usual! Always a treat to dine at Cassarino's.
This was our first time here. Service was excellent - Paul was out server. The food was good, but the special which was sirloin, was very very chewy (more than the norm of a sirloin), and the price was way too much for it. The rest of the experience was good. We will return.
