Students are much better in the kitchen(my fish was cooked perfectly) than they are in the dining room. Students need to learn the correct serving side, leave pens with the bill and, in some cases, how to serve wine.

This was my second visit to the Casola Dining Room. We had the same server as the last time.
However, he didn't check out my meal before serving it and left the vegetable off my plate. When I pointed this out, he took my plate, returned it to the kitchen and came back with the same plate and an additional small plate with the vegetable on it. It was very awkward trying to eat from two different plates. Other than that, it was a very pleasant experience.

This was my first experience at the Casola Dining Room, and I was very impressed. From the formal table settings, the excellent service, the delicious food and the overall ambiance, my guest and I were treated like "royalty". Congratulations to the chefs, bakers and servers for a job well done. I would definitely recommend the Casola Dining Room to family and friends. I only wish it was a bit easier to get a reservation.

Amazing dinner, the food was excellent! The Bucatini all’Amatriciana was truly THE BEST I’ve ever had!!! Everything was delicious from start to finish including the Veal Chop and desserts. Our friendly and attentive server Sondra was very good as well.

Each course of Brazilian food was delicious. The fish in the stew was cooked to perfection, not overdone. This is the second time I have had fish at Casola and each time it was done wonderfully. The kitchen graciously accomodated the needs of two of our party who were unable to eat spicy food.

Very upscale, food prepared by up and coming student chef's from an outstanding college . The 3 course meal options were all excellent choices. The food was some of best I've had at any restaurant. Me and my wife had a great meal and felt taken care of from the time we arrived til we left. The student staff were all very good at their jobs, hats off to all of them. We will be returning for the great food and service very soon.

We enjoyed the gravlax. ... beautiful presentation. The halibut was slightly dry, but good. The desserts were outstanding. Our friends enjoyed the lamb. Great place for lunch... bring your own wine ... about $20 per person including corkage fee for wine.

The Casola Dining Room is an intimate dining space and sometimes it's hard to remember that you're part of a culinary class--other times, it's blatantly obvious. But it's nice to know you're helping students hone their "front of the house" skills. The food is usually great, plated well and served nicely. My only complaint is that it's often impossible to get a reservation through Open Table.

Our party of six enjoyed the Autumn Harvest menu served on October 9. We have been dining at Casola for many years, and we all agreed that our meals were right up there with the other "top" meals through these many years. The meals were excellent - My Herb Roasted Chicken was superb - your chicken
demi-glace was excellent - I loved it! Kudos to your cooking staff. Thank you for a most enjoyable meal.

My husband and I are regulars, and in our 8th year of supporting this culinary gem, “The Casola Dining Room. We participate in both the Fall and Spring sessions, and almost always invite friends to join us. As usual, the dining room tables are formally set for the 3-course contemporary, tasty, fulfilling, and pleasingly priced lunch. We always enhance ours with a bottle of Moscato - MY choice, no matter the menu. The students are consistently pleasant, professional, and willing to indulge in conversation regarding their future aspirations. The Culinary Instructors obviously are outstanding in their role,.

Delicious food! I loved my appetizer, spaghetti alla carbonera, not too rich, perfect. The orange fennel salad was good, but too skimpy on the orange and too much of the salty olives. Fish was very good. I loved the greens. My husband had the veal- good flavors. I loved his potato gnocchi! Zuppa Inglese dessert was fantastic. I was afraid there would be too much rum, but you could hardly taste it. And the marmalade under the custard added the perfect touch. The service was very good.

As explained, this is a classroom. Culinary students prepare and serve a meal based on a specific region. The food was excellent and creatively plated and flavored. Small gaps in detail and knowledge by the servers indicated the inexperience of the students but was overcome by the earnest and obvious desire to satisfy the customer. All in all, a delightful afternoon and an exceptional value.

Expected a higher quality food given that it's a teaching college trying to impress upon its students the importance of raw materials. Food seemed to be prepared well in advance and either brought to room temperature or thawed for serving.

We had a wonderful server who asked the chef about mushrooms in the dishes we ordered since companion was allergic. He made sure there were none in the dishes she ordered. He was not hovering, but made sure we had what we needed and was very curteous and professional. He will do well in this. We found out there were several students that didn’t show up that night, but we would have never known this unless we were told.
The Beef Burgundy was a bit fatty and the crepes were gone, but dinner was very good.

Very hard to get reservations on Open Table. I liked calling in much better. There must be a trick to it I’m not aware of.

Our waitstaff person Diana was excellent. Very professional and accommodating. The entree and appetizer I had was excellent. My guest felt the entree portion was on the small side but it was delicious. We both enjoyed the fabulous Chocolate cake for dessert.

Overall it was a lovely evening and can't wait to go again. I would highly recommend to family and friends.

I have been dining at Casola Dining for several years. It is always a great dining experience and very much enjoy the "ethnic themed" meals. The food is always well prepared, well presented and a very classy atmosphere with linen tablecloths and napkins as an added bonus. Thank you to all of the food preparation folks, serves, supervisors and everyone who is instrumental in making this culinary dining experience absolutely perfect. Sincerely, Jean Burke

The food was very tasty but just Luke warm. Disappointed in that. Coffee was also not hot at all. Soup was delicious and just warm enough, but the rest of the meal was not at all hot enough to serve. Have to wonder how long it was sitting there before our table was served. Server was very good.
