Cask Republic having opened in December of 2013 artfully fuses the familiarity of an American-style tavern with the authenticity of European taverns of yesteryear. A Communal Tavern, the concept is simple; exceptional food globally inspired, a world class beer program, extensive spirits and wines – all housed in an atmosphere befitting that of a sophisticated urban respite.

Don't miss sitting near one of the two cozy fireplaces located in the Tap Room and Fireside Room.

Chef Carl Carrion has designed a menu which elevates global tavern classics to a new level through his seasonal preparation of quality ingredients.

Came here for dinner with my fiance. The food was delicious and it was brought out quickly. The place was crowded and a bit noisy but expected on a Saturday night. Overall its a nice place with great food and wonderful service. I would definitely come back and recommend this place to friends.

the menu was decent if somewhat limited. If you are looking to standard American fare with a few deviations then this your spot. Had the mussels - they were delicious! Would definitely recommend for an after work happy hour with friends or co-workers. Not romantic.

Pre-theatre dinner. Food was great. Noise level was high, but the St. Patrick’s day parade was earlier in the day.

Our reservation was thru Open Table . . . very efficient. We were greeted with confidence and a smile. Our waitress . . . Emily . . . was extremely cordial and efficient . We will ask for her on the next occasion. Thank you.

we went during restaurant week.

when we came in it was very busy and it looked like they were understaffed for the lunch crowd.
they got our food order wrong and ended up not bringing our drink order. the waiter apologized and that's more than some other restaurants i've been to with snootty waitresses/waiters, so it's understandable

75% of the time we go to a restaurant it's for the food. the food was delicious and so tasty here.
that's the most important factor for me

we ordered the ruben sandwich with fries, french onion soup, and the pesto mac and cheese

We were grateful and relieved to have had a table in the back room, where it was much quieter. The front room was full of Friday night revelers, which was fine but we would not have been happy to sit and have a meal there. Other than that, food was great, our waiter was wonderful, and we had a lovely time celebrating my son's 30th birthday. Because of the back room space, we were able to linger and enjoy the food and each other's company. Would definitely recommend.

While the bar scene was loud and lively by 9:30pm on a Friday night, the back area near the working fireplace is great for having a conversation over drinks, tapas or dinner. Service was amazing and the menu offered a wide range of choices. Plenty of parking options. I would definitely recommend it and return!

Went there for their New Year’s Eve set menu and got the surf and turf. Both of our surf and turf dishes were not hot. Good food but would have been much better if the food was still hot

We went to Cask Republic in Stamford for an early dinner birthday celebration for my husband and enjoyed it very much. The ambience and service were excellent with the fireplace all aglow and Christmas tree and decorations setting the holiday mood and with just the right volume and selection of music - suited to all ages at our table (from high school senior to a senior senior grandmother and my husband and I somewhere in the middle). We all enjoyed our entrees as well as the small plates before and desserts after. Interesting that Entree and Dessert choices seemed a bit limited, but still and all we all had something different and thoroughly enjoyed just about every bite! We will surely enjoy returning to Cask Republic!

Food was just basic, the salmon needed much more flavors and the rice was bland. Great for a drink and to sit by the fire but I would have dinner somewhere else next door.

Very poor to no management that night. We reserved a dining time 1.5 hours before the performance. We told our waiter we wanted the prix fixe dinner associated with a promotion with the local theatre. They knew we were on a tight schedule. The waiter DID NOT MENTION they were short staffed in the kitchen. We shared our appetizer after waiting 45 minutes to get it. It was the only food we had. We had 20 minutes before the performance and still hadn't received our entree. WE CANCELLED THE MEAL, paid for the shared appetizer and 1 soda and left!! AWFUL experience.

We were there for dinner on a Thursday evening. The sound level was absolutely painful when we entered. Fortunately there were some tables in a back room which was quieter. The grilled brussel sprouts were not grilled, uncooked and had no flavor. The $16 burgers we ordered were the size of sliders with no tomato, lettuce or cole slaw and the fries on both our plates were terribly overdone. Fortunately there are tons of other restaurants in Stamford, CT to try next time.

Chicken and Waffles were way over done almost burnt and it was bland. Brought me more chicken and that wasn't much different. I'm thinking the oil it was fried in was old.

Love the menu and had been to the Norwalk Cask before. Our meal was unpleasant because of a table near us with two VERY loud and obnoxious women who screamed the entire time we were there. They were not asked to tone it down and it made it impossible for us or the other 6 tables around them to hear each other at all. I would not return to the Stamford location.

It was VERY dark and noisy. The food was excellent although portions were quite small for the price... $11 for a side-salad sized dinner salad. No complaints about the beer selection- variety and quality abounds. Service was outstanding.

One of the several in the chain.

Great beers, but not as varied or unique as the Restaurant used to have. Solid straightforward American pub food. Good food. Undercooked interior - feeling of "we just wanted to get on the market fast". It may not be that important, but it's unpleasant. Somewhat amateurish, but still friendly service

The food was outstanding. 100% recommend.
The cocktails were mediocre and overpriced. My drink was essentially a giant ice cube with very little liquid. However, the beer selection looked impressive, so I would recommend the bar for the beer.
We opted for a table rather than a booth, and the area with the tables was extremely loud. I felt like I had to shout to be heard. The booth areas looked like they would have been quieter.
Overall, it was a good choice for dinner, and I would recommend it to others.

Open dining space with a mix of table and booths . Large bar area. Casual but modern décor. Service was quick and responsive. Food was fresh and well seasoned. Delicious.
Plenty of great options for beers on tap and bottles. I will return whenever in the area.
