Cask n' Cleaver - Rancho Cucamonga Ratings and Reviews
Excellent filet mignon. Nice menu selections. Was a bit noisy, but it was Saturday at peak dinner hour. Used to go to the San Dimas location, but had to travel to Rancho Cucamonga since the San Dimas location closed recently. I liked that the San Dimas location had more booth seating, this locations has a more open seating.
For a great steak and incredible salad bar then this place is for you. But their menu is very diverse so it's not just a steakhouse. Great bar area, wine list and beer selection. The servers all help each other out and ask for Jen if you want an interactive server.
The restaurant was clean bright and inviting. The service was near excellent, food was wonderful with a reasonable wine list and some wonderful drinks. The one thing I will suggests to management is to have the servers inquire of the diners what occasion they are celebrating, so that the service could be gear to the type of celebration for that group ie. birthday, Anniversary etc.
We always enjoyed the Cask N Cleaver in San Dimas but just found out that it closed so
we decided to celebrate my birthday in Rancho. The bar, which we prefer, seemed noisy so we opted for the restaurant. It was noisy with a crying baby and young children. It was never
quiet enough to enjoy a good conversation. Definitely not a place for a first date or romantic
dinner. Very, very disappointed. The good food and wine did not make up for the ambiance.
We saw an empty area/room as we were escaping and they should have either put the couples
in there or the munchkins!
This was an extremely unpleasant experience. We had a reservation but were made to wait in line along with everyone as if we didn't have one. The salad bar was so-so. The service was absolutely awful. Our drinks showed up halfway through dinner. We won't go back
We can ALWAYS count on a great time when we go to Cask 'n Cleaver. Food is always excellent and so is every staff member. It was a Monday night so the crowd was light. Love that place. We have been going there for as long as we can remember.
I have been a customer of this establishment since 1973 and have never before had even 1 complaint. On this visit I decided to have a couple of drinks from the bar which were 2 double bloody Mary's. I was totally shocked to see the bill those drinks cost me $34.00 and that is totally unjustifiable. Will not be visiting again !!!
We celebrated early Father's Day with sons (hubbys fave restaurant). They ordered iced tea but said it tasted strange twice so ordered sodas. Server was very accommodating and all were pleased with meal. Made reservation last-minute online - easy! At table 24, semi-private with fountain right outside. Great food & atmosphere, eager to return.😁
Always enjoy the Cask and have been going there since they had menus on wine bottles ands the waiters wore Bermuda shorts! It's one of the few place I will go to when I especially want a steak.
Love their salad bar, too.
In fact, we're going back this week for 2 more birthday celebrations!
Cask and Cleaver offers a consistently good quality of meat, attentive service and a relaxed, yet not overly casual dining experience. A friend and I had no wait on a Monday evening at 6 pm. The table was next to a window which gave us a view of a garden setting where an outside banquet or function could be held. Our waiter attended to us immediately and returned with a very nice house gin and tonic and the Merlot my friend had was quite impressive. No holding back here with extra large wine glasses and six ounces of wine. One glass was sufficient for the entire meal. My prime rib was exactly as I ordered while my friend's steak was also prepared to his request. The baked potatoes were large with butter, cheese sauce, and chives, making a nice complement since we passed on the generous salad bar. We were not rushed, but the waiter was attentive and available. Cask and Cleaver is worth visiting on those special occasions or when you just want to relax. Dinner for two with one drink, just under one hundred dollars with tip.
Great place and nice setting to eat. Great service and ask for Mandy. She was so sweet to our group. The only thing i have a gripe with is with Open Table is for them not giving me points for the three times that i had 8 or more people there. I want my points for the 3 visits.
Been coming here for 50 years but no more. Dining room smells of a barnyard. Waitress got my order wrong, steak was very rare when I ordered medium rare, asked for mushrooms got onions. Very disappointed in that it was son's birthday dinner. Not what it used to be.
