Food was fine. Very noisy, during a week night
Came here with family who were visiting from out of town, it was great! Amazing cocktails.
My friends and I spent over $700 at this restaurant. We left the restaurant to go to our cars, but two of us decided to walk back into the restaurant to use the restroom before traveling. Two of our friends were standing outside the main doorway, while two of us decided to go to the restroom. My friend went to the restroom first. As he was returning to the doorway, I decided to go to the restroom too. At this point, I was aggressively confronted by the bartender. He yelled at me repeatedly to catch my attention and aggressively asked, “What’s going on here? Why are you guys standing in the doorway? What are you doing here?” This caught me off-guard, as we just spent a few hours at this restaurant. I responded that I am going to the restroom and that we just finished our meal here moments ago. I am extremely displeased with this bartender and will no longer return for special occasions, nor recommend my friends to visit. This incident occurred around 2:30AM on Sat, 12/30
The cocktails and food were a triumph as always and the ambiance was warm and cozy. Cask is perfect for a get-together with friends as well as for a date.
Get the ribs, brussels sprouts, and lamb & goat cheese nachos. I don't like lamb nor goat cheese, but I loved this one!
We had a great time at Cask on a Saturday night for dinner and drinks. The atmosphere is relaxing. Food and drinks were excellent! Great for sharing small plates.
We really enjoyed our time at the Cask. Six of us were celebrating a birthday and anniversary before heading to the Billy Joel concert. It was a bonus to get a round table in the back. The food was perfect for what we were looking for. Our party got burgers and flatbread, but there were larger choices on the menu. Food was delicious as were the drinks, service was friendly and fast.
Our waiter was awesome. Very laid-back and perfect for brunch. I recommend the blood orange mimosa’s.
Got together with some friends after work on a Friday. Their happy drinks are great and food is
Good too although it used to be better. Super noisy and busy but altogether a good time
A relaxed and friendly ambiance. Excellent service. Some really delicious plates like the tamarind ribs. Everyone enjoyed their dishes.
Took a chance on a new restaurant for my birthday celebration with friends. Wanted great food, great ambiance, great service, reasonable noise-level--wasn't disappointed! We all really enjoyed the experience, and I would definitely put Cask Bar & Kitchen on my list of favorites in New York. A real gem.
Food was great! Service was wonderful, very attentive but not overbearing. Great wine list and cocktails. Would definitely go back again.
Love this place! Always feel welcomed. Kelly the Manager is wonderful, bartenders Rachel and Niall always a pleasure. Food is good, like the music, definitely a good energy. Highly Recommend, enjoy.
Good for a large group birthday party
Cask Bar & Kitchen is a fun, neighborhood bar and casual restaurant. The white Sangria was delicious and refreshing. Our party of four was seated downstairs - it was quiet, cozy and the bartender was attentive. We enjoyed the truffle mac n' cheese, tuna tartare, kale caesar, margarita flatbread, bbq pulled pork flatbread and crispy cauliflower. Everything we ate was fresh and tasty. Cask Bar & Kitchen exceeded our expectations.
We have been to Cask twice now and were very happy both times. Great food, great drinks, responsive and competent but not overly warm and friendly service (to be fair, we had the same guy both times, so maybe it's just him). They have a range of great apps and for entrees they have very good salads you can add protein to as well as some excellent entrees. It can get really loud, so don't plan on being able to hear more than one or two seats away after 8 or 9. But for this sometimes mediocre Murray Hill area, it's hard to beat the nice setting, great menu and overall good vibe.
Made a reservation for 5 but 8 showed up. The restaurant kept their cool and accommodated as nuch as possible. Service was great but the drinks seem to be poured using a graduated cylinder.
Great atmosphere! Cozy and laid back. Philly cheesesteak spring rolls, brussels sprouts and califlower were the food highlights. I heard good things about the salmon. The chicken was good, but nothing to rave about. Drinks were good. Wish we were hungry enough to try dessert, because that looked the best.
Fantastic discovery in Midtown East... that mac and cheese was unbelievable! We had a mini cast meeting, the sound level was a bit loud, by what do you expect in New York? Would definitely return.
Absolutely wonderful service. Our waiter have great recommendations and was so thoughtful. We plan on going back soon for the happy hour. The red sangria is out of this world.
Our review may be biased by the fact we had our 4 and 6 year grandchildren with us. The restaurant was extremely noisy. The options were quite limited and very little for children. We had a combination of the small platters. The food was okay but nothing to bring us back again.
I can see that it would appeal to 20-30 year olds who have different needs for a good night out, than we had
Awesome place! Love, love the blood orange jalapeño margarita! Get the pitcher if you plan on having more than 2 or 3 at your table . The ribs are so yummy! Loved the lamb nachos ! The oysters were a real bargain and so fresh from 4-7pm at 1.00 each. Will definitely be back!
Met up with my nieces and nephews. Had a great time. Good food drinks and ambience!
Delightful brunch - menu had a nice variety and a few things that were not the usual brunch fare. Very attentive service and everything we ordered was delicious. Will definitely be going back!
Fun, energetic bar! Make reservations as it is a small place.
Lots of fun. Our server was fantastic and the food was really good. We shared appetizers and had salads and burgers.
Cute, cozy place. Service was great. Was sat down immediately even though my whole party for our reservation were still on their way. Attentive wait staff, but they started rushing us out of our table which was rude, until finally they told us they had a reservation waiting. Would've been a lot better if they just told us rather than having the bus boy give us a dirty look when we tried to order more drinks. Otherwise, good place. Has a bar upstairs and downstairs. Does end up getting a little loud, but nothing more than a usual bar.
Dinner with my parents. They were so accommodating to us and them. Our waiter was so nice and attentive. Would go back in a second.
I met a group of friends for my birthday during their Wednesday happy hour. They were kind enough to put us at a group table up on the alcove separated from the main dining area. It was PERFECT. The service and ambiance is great. The food is tasty and the drink selections are awesome. The happy hour value is impressive.
Found Cask to be a great spot for weekend Brunch. The restaurant was dark but had been nicely decorated for Valentine's Day. Had a cute, off-beat vibe. Young crowd. We ate downstairs because upstairs was booked. Be prepare to sit on bar stools and high built-in banquet seating which was different, though not a problem. Our server was very helpful and pleasant. Lamb tacos were great. I would recommend for a casual, fun brunch - great for post-college demographic as well.
