About Casimir & Co
Casimir & Co will transport diners from the streets of Manhattan to a Parisian bistro clad with rustic wood finishing on the walls, an open kitchen with tempting charcuterie hanging in the window, and daily menus listed on chalk boards. The full service bar is located on the street level with a few high-top tables, and the L-shaped dining room is on the second level surrounded by large windows overlooking Lexington Avenue. Dishes will be rooted in simple and traditionally satisfying bistro fare. The seasonal and affordable menu will rotate daily for lunch, dinner and brunch offering diners a new experience every day.Signature items will remain on the menu, such as the house’s signature dish L'Entrecôte Casimir & Co, a grass fed NY Strip served on a wooden board with a "secret" sauce and homemade frites for a bargain $22.
In addition to an outstanding menu, the restaurant also offers a wine and mixology bar on the main floor and outdoor seating for beautiful summers on the patio.

Casimir & Co Ratings and Reviews
This place looks tired. Service unsatisfactory with persons we dealt with seemingly challenged in English. I even got a call from manager asking if I was going to honor my reservation. I told him I’d been sitting in the restaurant for ten minutes. I asked him to come to the table and introduce himself. No one came. Food was satisfactory but the experience was third rate.
Wonderful find -- delicious French food in a lovely and cozy townhouse setting on the upper east side. One of the best fish entrees I've ever had. Lamb shank also excellent. Last time every much enjoyed the steak.
Will be on our go to list for going out with another couple or just ourselves/family.
Service was pitch perfect.
Great neighborhood spot, with solid food. This was the third time we'd been waited on by a strange woman who seems to think she's part of the table and conversation...we had to interrupt her to get her to stop talking and pour the wine! Otherwise a very cozy and decent meal.
Service was awful. I went there for my birthday. We told our waiter and he did not put a candle on my dessert. He never refilled our glasses with water. He was extremely inattentive. He had no excuse the restaurant was not busy at all. We will not go back. Pity the food was very good.
The restaurant this past Mother's Day was Beyond disgusting and horrible! We were served someone else's half eaten bread basket , The staff barely spoke any English only Spanish and they're only two waiters ( so normally busboys serving a full dining room upstairs)
The service was disgraceful. We waited for our brunch meal for 55 minutes. We were a party of 5 and 2 meals came first. Two more came out several minutes later and when we asked about the 5th meal, the staff seemed perplexed and annoyed. They said they would check and 10 minutes later the French toast came out cold without syrup. When we asked the other waiter for syrup, ours was already gone, he was annoyed and seemed to roll his eyes!
Disappointing. Ambience is okay., but tired and frumpy. The menu is spare. We ordered special lamb chops. Good but not a lot of flavor. Wine list overpriced French thogh we were able to get a nice and reasonably priced Roth merlot. Service okay. No verve. With a lot of more interesting competition we probably won't be back.
The food was very good and love the ambience but service was only fair we told Maitre d to send other couple upstairs to our table and she didn't I had to text them to say we were seated restaurant was empty but waiter was nowhere to b seen however once we ordered food came our timely and was very good we will def return as it's in our neighborhood and I do love the atmosphere and food
I've loved this restaurant for a long time but as someone else mentioned -- they're in serious need of a makeover -- the menu is much more expensive now which they fail to update for some
reason and the restaurant is more dingy than before, as if it's being neglected. The servers though nice, aren't attentive or on top of things. The menu is hit or miss but the burger is still great! (though it is now $21 not $16 as listed here). Steak and steak tartare are also great but are both now $10 more then listed here. For such a huge leap in prices it's extremely disappointing that the quality has gone down, not up.
Casimir is a great bistro in the UES. No pretensions, good drinks, vibe, service and food. What else can you ask for? The hostess, Jasmine, is always welcoming as are the wait and bar staff. We had their hearts of palm pasta signature dish. It was incredibly good. The pasta is 100% hearts of palm (no flour) that has been rolled into bite sized pieces - with the basil tomato sauce. Yummy. And, the profiteroles were the best we have had in years. 3 fluffy pastries with choice of vanilla or salted caramel or mix of both, and chocolate syrup. BTW, the martinis and old fashioneds were also good.
I used to love this place. Food was always good and I liked the atmosphere.
However, my last visit there was pretty disappointing.
They need a serious cleaning job. Place feels old, tired and unattended to. As if the owners gave up on it. Restaurant needs to be scrubbed all over, windows washed, etc. The staff was ok and the food was not bad but I couldn't get over the smell coming from behind or underneath the banquet. It ruined my entire meal. As if something died and was rotting under there. I didn't want to ruin a pleasant get together with friends by complaining, but hope that someone in the management will read this and start paying a little more attention to the over all appearance and cleanliness of their restaurant before it's too late.
