Food and service was great! Portions are very generous.
Very consistent, very good quality food always fresh and they make most things in house
Celebrated my mother in law’s birthday. The food and ambience is good and the service is excellent. The table was set with Birthday decor and a card for the birthday girl. A great place for Italian food.
Everything about the restaurant was FABULOUS! From the serving staff, to the food, to the ambience.... it was all just what we wanted. Thank you for making a special night even more so!
M friend and I went on a Friday evening. You had better have reservations. I still love their chicken. But we wanted something different the night we both had their salad. They also offer a soup which is home made. We both had pasta dishes mine with a tomato based sauce and she had a cream based sauce. Both were excellent. When we left an hour later people were waiting inside and outside even though the temperature was in the upper 40's
Family dinner celebrate daughter back from college.
Around noon, I made an online reservation for 6:15pm that evening. I arrived at 6:15pm and we were not seated until 6:50pm. They either do not honor online reservations or they have not figured out how to prioritize reservations over walk-ins.
Overbooked the night we had reservations. Had to wait 30 mins for a table. Server was overloaded, tried, but just too busy. Did not know wine service, brought bottle to table opened and poured the wine over the foil (big no no). Food is always good, just had too many reservations and service staff too huried.
Cascone’s is a local long standing mainstay in Kansas City north. It is our favorite Italian restaurant! I’ve never had better lasagna or fettuccine anywahere. While not the cheapest Italian restaurant around it is far above average, with excellent service, cozy atmosphere, and wonderfully seasonal decor.
Was something 30-40 years ago. Not so much now. With so many options in different parts of the city for dinner. For myself its not worth it. But It is worth going to a KC landmark like Cascone's at least once.
Made reservations through Opentable, great way to make reservations. Arrived a few minutes early, was seated a few minutes later. The waitstaff was at the table almost immediately. She explained any questions asked about the menu. After ordering, our first course was brought without delay, a wonderful tasty salad. We were not rushed to finish. The main course was quite delicious and hot. After a leisurely meal, we were asked about dessert, which we declined because of the portion size of the preceding servings.
Overall, a very pleasant, enjoyable dining experience. The noise level was low enough for normal conversation.
Would highly recommend Cascone's for an enjoyable dining experience.
Wonderful personal service. A great find for business travelers looking for a non chain experience and local ambience.
Good all around restaurant. Portions large enough to be shareable!
Food was average, maybe slightly better. Decor is old and tired. Server was fine but not enthusiastic.
As an Italian I can verify this is authentic Italian food at it's finest. Every dish is wonderful. Never once have my husband or myself been disappointed.
We have been coming to Cascone’s for many years. The food is always scrumptious, the service is nearly always wonderful, & the people on staff are friendly & interesting. The restaurant has lovely decor & is clean. We plan to keep coming back, whether to dine in or to get take-out!
Cranky waitress, food was meh. Ambience non-existent, the whole place is outdated and frankly tacky. I would rather stay home and cook my own.
Loved our recent experience at Cascone's! Great waiter (funny, attentive, knowledgeable of the menu) and the food was outstanding. We stayed almost 2 hours and visited with the friends we took with us. I was glad we made a reservation as the wait would have been long. I wish we lived closer so this could be a more frequent dining site.
Manager was rude.
Very good food and excellent service!
Great service and kind atmosphere. A bit expensive but worth it for a great date night!
Wonderful experience! Very friendly staff and great food. It was a special occasion and Cascone’s didn’t disappoint. Craig was our server and he was incredible. Thanks, Cascone’s.
Great food, great service. Took my girlfriend on her 21st birthday and she loved it.
My favorite Italian red sauce in KC. Always delicious food.
We had a very very good time. The ambiance was fantastic. Only thing missing was a live accordion or violin player would have put it over the top. Food was spot on delicious and the servings were over the top. Salad was very fresh and the servers were super polite and the extra help who cleared the table were asking if we needed anything when our waitress was busy. Valentines dinner two years in a row and momma loves to come back every year.
Cascines is my favorite Italian restaurant.I have never had a bad experience. Osso Bucco and the Veal Limonata are my go to favorites.
Our experience was outstanding! It was Valentine’s Day, and man am I glad we made a reservation because the place was packed. Our server, Sean I think his name was, was so busy, but still found time to make our visit personal. He is a one of a kind server. Great food, great ambiance, will definitely be returning!
Dining room was very busy for Valentine's Day. Seating was as I requested. Waiter did not rush us. Food came out as ordered and was piping hot. The Tiramisu is the best I've ever found!
We went here for Valentine’s Day. It was great. We have been here many times before and always have a pleasant experience. Will return.
One of my favorite restaurants in the whole city. Our server Carlos was fantastic. The chicken limonata elaina was wonderful as usual. Always my first pick for my birthday dinner.
Always a great experience! The food is wonderful, the staff friendly and a nice dining experience.
Waitress originally came off as uninterested but she warmed up and had a great sense of humour. Food was good, massive plates. Not a big fan of the steak special, but the Italian Flag was great...Alfredo sauce is fantastic. A little pricey. Spent $60+ for two meals...just water.
As always the food was great. Our server was exceptional, welcoming, knowledgeable and very professional.
We really loved the atmosphere and the food. Everything we ordered was delicious. However, our service was pretty terrible. The waiter rarely checked on us, my drink was empty a majority or the time, and when you’d look around to get his attention to get something, he was nowhere to be found. Overall I enjoyed the food, but the experience was less than desirable.
Very enjoyable!
Absolutely loved our first experience at Cascone's. The food was absolutely wonderful. The service was top notched. Had reservation for 6:00 pm and arrived a early. They got us right in. Finished our dinner at 7:30 pm and the place was packed with a large line waiting to get in for the evening. Can't wait to get back to Kansas City to eat at Cascone's again.
One of our favorite places, with delicious Italian-American food in a cozy (even if a bit rundown and old-fashioned) environment. The lasagne is the best I've tasted just anywhere (delicious sugo, meat sauce, and high-quiality cheeses) and typically, the salads are fresh with a gorgeous, homemade blue cheese dressing. This afternoon, the lasagne was perfect (although they are now serving much smaller portions while the price is the same) but the salad s were limp and old and the dressing was off. Our waitress brought a new salad with a different dressing, and it was off, as well (and the salad was missing ingredients). She explained that there was no way for the chef to know who put the dressing together that day. It was the same base (buttermilk) for both dressings... the buttermilk was spoiled and the dressing ruined. They should have tasted while preparing... no one seemingly did that, which was disappointing. And they kept serving the dressing to other tables, even though the waitress admitted there had been additional complaints.
Another great night at Cascone’s! Our server was Danielle, and she was incredible! We forgot that it was Reataurant Week, but despite how busy they were, we never once felt as though we were forgotten or being rushed! No complaints, and we will definitely request Danielle to be our server again in the future! Thanks!
Love love love Cascones. We have two favorites when we go there, either the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo or the Eggplant Parmesan (with alfredo instead of red sauce). Both are soooo good. And the chicken they use for the pasta is amazing. We have also had appetizers, the Fried Mozzarella and the Toasted Cheese Ravioli. I don't remember which is my favorite, but I enjoyed both.
We wanted some authentic pasta and it had been years since we ate at Cascone’s and never at this location. We were pleasantly surprised, it was like going to an Italian family’s house for dinner. Our waitress was great, atmosphere and food great!
