The small plates we ordered were delicious! The desserts (chocolate souffle and flan) could use improvement. The service was friendly, but not well-timed.

Cascal has always been one of my favorite spots. Food is amazing and the ambience is great! Love the patio area, very lively and they have heaters. They said they don’t take outside reservations, but when I called they said they would do what they can.... and sure enough.. when we arrived they had reserved an outside table. Great dinner!

Great food & service. Live music got so loud at 9pm that my head started ringing and it took 2 days to stop.

Our server was great, and the food was good. It was so noisy, our server or us, couldn't understand want we wanted. We couldn't talk with each other, since the restaurant was packed, and we couldn't hear each other talking.

Celebrated my mom's birthday on a Wednesday at 7pm. The restaurant was packed and loud, but offered an incredible evening celebration. It started with a very personable (M Carlos) waiter whose team was attentive and responsive throughout the entire dinner - it was the best service I've experienced at Cascal which is a high complement as the service has always been strong. Food was outstanding as well but I want to call out two dishes that always seem to stand above the rest -- the lamb chops are simply the best I've ever had. Served with a light seasoning and a chimichurri sauce, they came out medium-rare as we asked and were tender and delicious. I was tempted to pick the chops up with my hand and put in mouth - decorum got the better of me though. The second dish that really pleased us was the calamari - served with a spicy remoulade, the pieces were tender and flavorful.

Like this restaurant very much. Good, varied menu, always plenty to choose from and I appreciate the reasonable range of vegetarian options. The inside is more appealing than the outdoor tables.

We went to dinner here with my wife's parents who were visiting from New York. We had a pitcher of margaritas, which was great, and several tapas. The service was great-- prompt but not overbearing. We always find the service at Cascal to be top notch. The food was delicious as always, but for some reason we always find they change the best dishes. Please bring back the scallops dish!

Enjoyed the food and service. It was great to seated when i got there. Enjoyed the Pinor noir. We had our favorite mushroom empanadas. The shrimps were spicy and yummy. You have to go in with an appetite because there are so many tasty tapas. The eggplant and lamb meatball were good too. The restaurant was hopping and I can see why!

Cascal is great for Spanish tapas! They have an excellent bar - caipirinas are my favorite, and they have a good selection of vegetarian options.

Always wonderful.
Spent time with friends for Happy Hour with lovely margaritas and tapas platters, while the restaurant filled up with people coming from work or going out. Very nice atmosphere.

Excellent well-prepared food. Large portion of octopus. Great selection of paellas, esp good for those with food intolerances. Table service was very professional. Hostess check-in and seating assignment is short of satisfactory, but willing to change seating when requested.

I’ve been here many times and usually the meal is adequate. More than once I’ve had to send things back including watery paella and over cooked food. This visit I realized for the first time the degree of precooking they do. We had an early dinner so it wasn’t too busy. Every tapa we ordered was on the table within 10 minutes. One dish (chicken) was terribly over cooked. Clearly it had been cooked earlier and reheated. Another dish was a cold dish and came out on a very cold plate. Clearly they was made earlier and refrigerated until we ordered. Only the paella is made to order. The rest seems to be made well before which I find really disappointing.

This restaurant has stood the test of time and continues to deliver excellent food in a timely manner and with great service. It's always busy but we didn't feel rushed. The food was brought quickly and the server made periodic checkbacks to ensure we were doing okay.
The octopus was delicious, as were the lamb enchiladas and tuna ceviche. Even the eggplant dish, wish is reminiscent of lasagna, impressed us. The flan ended our meal and it too was quite satisfying, big enough for the two of us with bits of sweetened orange rind as garnish.

Great local Spanish and Latin food spot. Great cocktail list. Get the sizzling shrimp and the corn salad. And of course, some jambon y queso. Service was a little spotty, but friendly.

We required all vegetarian meal. The tapas were great for veggie options. Corn poblano and mushroom empanadas were two favorites... The vegetarian paella was good, but not extraordinary. Ambiance, live music, great service, and tasty fare made this a great night out with friends.

My husband and I have been here several times. We always enjoy the variety of dishes available. I always think of it as a culinary adventure. We especially enjoyed the tapas sampler which was plenty for the 2 of us to share as a meal.
We have never been disappointed. This time we came for Saturday lunch to celebrate a friends birthday.
It was quieter than it is at night which we appreciated.

The band was great. Wish the dance floor was a little larger and wish the view was not obstructed from our table by the partition but otherwise the food and service was great! Excellent date night location.

I enjoyed the tapas and was happy they put our family in a quieter section of the restaurant. The service was excellent. My wife is a bit of a purist when it comes to tapas, and she felt that they were not authentically Spanish. Still yummy to me (sizzling shrimp, mussels pimenton, corn poblano saute, heart of palm salad & wild mushroom empanadas)!

I frequent Cascal with friends for drinks, dinner and special occasions. It's a great meeting place with great food choices that are easily shared with great vegetarian and vegan choices too. I dont have to worry about what the food preferences are of my group because they have that covered. The bar is vibrant with friendly bartenders and great Sangria.

Wonderful service and delicious, interesting food. I was unhappy to see a dog sitting in a dog stroller at the table next to me. Later, the dog's owner removed the dog from the stroller. This dog was clearly not a service dog. It was not wearing a service vest. If the dog was certified as "emotional needs," Cascal should have allowed this dog and other animals on the patio only, as do many other restaurants.

I have been to Cascal various times over the years. The concept is great. However the implementation leaves a bit to be desired because of the noise level and acoustics. It is usually so loud that one has to shout to be heard.

The food was tasty but this is a big, crowded, noisy restaurant that lacks a nice ambience. The menus are covered in plastic, and the service, while prompt and friendly, made me feel like I was eating in a big chain restaurant.
