   My go to place for great food! I had the lamb chops and they were tasty and well cooked. We had the tapas sampler to share and this was very tasty too! Will go back for sure.

   The place looks great and the menu was promising. However, the food was disappointing and the service kind of brittle. Let me start with the food. We were three, two of us not eating meat. We ordered the Tapas sampler. while in the menu it lists 10 vegetairan and seafood/fish items and only 4 meat based ones. The plate that arrived was predominantly meat based so we ended up leaving most of it untouched (and no server asked about it). We then orederd the Eggplant Tian - the problem with that was that it was overly seasoned - the taste and feel of the eggplant was drowned in seasoning. We had a similar experience with the Octopus. The servers that attended to us kept changing so there was no continuity of communication with them. At the end, there was a mistake in the bill - they charched us for 2 botles of Pellegrino when we had only one. I commented that to the server that handed me the bill, he went inside with my card, and minutes later another person came back with my card charged without deleting the extra charge. For the price we paid - over $150 for a lucn for three - it was quite a poor value.

   I have been to Cascal many times over the years. The quality of the food has definitely gone down. The live music was great. Service excellent as usual. The Paella left a lot to be desired. Teleferic Barcelona has a Paella that is way better. The drinks were great too! The tapas - just ok.

   I loved the ambience. The food was also delicious and the server was fantastic at making recommendations. I highly recommend the Tapas sampler, the pulled pork appetizer, and the paella marina. The sangria was also fantastic. Overall I give Cascal a 10/10!

    The fig brochettes are terrific, as was our beet salad. Josh Minor Pinot at $48 for the bottlr was excellent. We loved the music- the duo called “Individuo”.

    We enjoyed our dinner at Cascal. We had the mushroom empanadas which were tasty! The black bean soup was good as was the hearts of palm salad. We had the halibut dish which was very good and the lamb carnitas which were tasty,but have to complain it was such a small dish that came with tortillas and it was just under $20,but they could or should add a pilaf of rice or something else to the dish. I fortunately added the potato gratin just because I love them,but if I hadn't I would have definitely left hungry *even though I had the soup and empanadas) as the lamb were small little round pieces with some onions . They should rethink that dish. Christian our waiter was fantastic ! Very upbeat ,efficient and friendly. Was on top of things throughout the meal too. To management: Don't lose him! Overall would recommend this place.

    I hadn't been to this restaurant in more than 5 years, and I am glad we returned. We started with guacamole and chips, both of which were very fresh. The guacamole does have a bit of a kick, but it is quite flavorful. The Wild Mushroom Empanadas really should come with 4 instead of 3 as most tables are either 2 people or 4 people, and having only 3 on an order means you have to order extra. But they are worth it. The dough is crisp but not dry, and the mushrooms, cheese, and truffle oil are a delightful burst of flavor. The Spanish Tortilla was a wonderful surprise, as I had no idea it was akin to an omelette. The best sharing dish we tried was the Corn Poblano Saute. I could have ordered several more plates and eaten them all. We tried two types of paella: Rustica and Vegetable. The rice in each was cooked perfectly, just a bit al dente. I remember the paella from 5 years ago, and reviewed it then as "amazing." I am so glad to say that in those 5 years, it has lost nothing. It is still amazing! The service was very good; eating outside was, for us, much better than inside where there was live music; and the sangrias were a burst of fruity flavor.

    Place was way too loud. We sat as far away as possible from the band and it was still impossible to hold a conversation. It was like being at a concert. Tapas samples was ok. Cascal Paella - the meats were all super dry. A few in our group felt the rice tasted "plasticy".

    People seated at next table without noticing negative impact on our table. My guest, who is very thin, was squashed into our table; we had to physically move our table, fully set, away for comfort. Also shrimp “ceviche” which is tasty makes a mess on diner’s plate; flavors anything else that may be on it.

    Such beautiful ambiance outdoors! Our food and drinks were superb although next time I will skip the fried calamari. Highlights were vegetable paella, mushroom empanadas, Oaxaca a Mano salad, and Cascal Ultimate Agave Margarita. Service was smooth, without rush for a larger party while also being efficient and friendly. Would definitely return for a special occasion or at any other opportunity.

    Overall, we had a nice dinner at Cascal. Unfortunately the prices have increased considerably and the amount of tapas has decreased. The servers, although there were quite a few running around, were not very attentive. Had to wait forever.

    On my most recent visit, I started with the Spanish Caesar Salad and Wild Mushroom Empanadas, I would recommend both but only the Empanadas are a MUST try. Also had the grilled octopus, which was also excellent, the sauce was amazing. Our server was very attentive and professional. Seemed to have his speed / timing down to a science. Was pretty remarkable. Scene was a bit loud and loaded with a cornucopia of tech people, but overall, I had a wonderful experience at Cascal.

    I really enjoy the tapas here . . . the Lamb Albondigas and Beet Salad are always fabulous. I tried the Ham Croquettes and the Cuban Wraps for the first time and also enjoyed those a great deal. The atmosphere on the outdoor patio is perfect for me and my friends . . . there's a sense of a party but you can still hear conversation. The indoor noise level even on a Wed. evening was very high . . . a real party atmosphere.

    We had not been to Cascal for a while. We've always loved it but it was even better than I remembered! Everything we ordered, and we had quite a variety, was delicious. Service was good. We were never rushed by the staff to move to the next thing. The only issue was when the band started getting going (about 9:30) it was definitely loud...did not bother us, but likely would have bothered my parents. We are looking forward to going back soon!

    As usual, the food at Cascal was delicious. The Tapas sampler is often my go-to starter when with a group. So many interesting and tasty things on that platter. We had theater tickets and our server made sure we had our food in plenty of time to make the show.

    It was a birthday dinner. We went during Happy Hour, arriving about 4:30. The food was very good as always. The prices are fairly high for the size of the tapas, so it was nice to get the happy hour discounts on a few things. The seafood pasta is a nice alternative to paella if you want it out more quickly. Things came out at a good pace. Small complaint that no free birthday dessert was offered, but maybe we had to ask (it was noted on the reservation). Outdoor seating was very comfortable with overhead heaters. Having a round table allowed room for the shared tapas. Mushroom empanadas, stuffed dates, and heart of palm salad were among the favorite tapas we shared.

    Such a nice meal as per usual. I saw a banner today saying this place is celebrating 20 years and I think I have been going here for 19 years or so. Always a pleasure, always great food and a great location/atmosphere. A treat for our family for sure.
