It was wonderful as always
Great food and wonderful service. This is our favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh.
Will was awesome, and very knowledgeable. Brunch was delicious.
We had the Beaujolais dinner and every course was delicious. We were very comfortable with the spacing and care of the staff. Our server was terrific!
Casbah is always terrific. Had the Pork Chop and was tender & juicy. Our server, Olivia was very patient & attentive. Excellent service.0
Visit was during COVID and a weeknight. Tables were spread out and we felt comfortable from a safety standpoint. Service was outstanding. Was extremely impressed with the knowledge of our server, he knew the ins/outs of every dish and the ingredients and how they were prepared. Was a very enjoyable evening.
Delicious food presented well, and great service. Thank you.
Love love love this place!,,, totally hooked on the short rib ravioli, great staff, great ambience,,,can’t say enough !
Great pre fixe brunch!!! Delicious food and great staff
Typical Casbah perfection. Delicious food, impeccable service. Intelligent staff
Despite COVID, it was a really nice experience. Uncharacteristically, there was no vegetarian entree on the menu. As usual, a nice job by Big Burrito.
Went for my girlfriends birthday. The meal was fantastic! One of the best spots in Pittsburgh! Highly recommend
Kate our waitress was phenomenal. Will always ask for her. Food was spectacular as usual
Great from check in to meal! Waiter was outstanding
Great birthday brunch!!
Awesome experience! We were celebrating a family birthday a few months late because of the Covid lockdown and the staff made sure to make our dinner special.
We love going to this restaurant! Food is great and the service is excellent. We would recommend this restaurant to everyone. They have something for everyone’s taste!
Spectactular as usual. have many of the old waiters and bartenders. Menu with many of its greats. Fewer wines by the glass, but still good diversity
Love the menu and staff was fantastic. Seated in bar area was okay but not the best.
This has always been a favorite but haven't been there since the pandemic began. The atmosphere is very pleasant and casual. Tables are well spaced and the menu, though a bit smaller, has ample variety to meet all tastes.
I had a delicious freshly made arugula salad followed by short rib ravioli----though I found them a bit salty, they were well filled and tasty. Mark was a thoughtful and helpful waiter.
Not usually a bread eater, I found the bread unusually good and learned that they get it from Eleven(part of this restaurant group).
I'll be back!
Server was kind, but was not very attentive. He forgot our wine chiller and water refill, and took quite a while to get our initial order. That being said, it was a wonderful experience for an anniversary dinner! The duck was delicious!
Very good. I believe our server was Alexis... she was fabulous! Casbah offers great food, drink menu, service and atmosphere! (little pricey) but worth it for a special occasion or to treat yourself.
We made the reservation for a friends 30th birthday. I ordered a bottle of wine ahead of time to be delivered to the table. Amanda, the wine director was absolutely fabulous and the Malbec she chose for us was fabulous. Our server granted our every need and all of our courses were delicious. For appetizers we had the octopus, tuna tartare, and butternut squash ravioli. Entrees included the duck, short rib ravioli, and the orecchiette. The duck was among the best I’ve had in Pittsburgh; perfectly cooked without losing the beautiful crust. For dessert we had the vanilla creme brûlée, flourless chocolate cake and the bread pudding. The bread pudding had crisp bottoms and light tops, this was the best one. We then finished with a night cap of limoncello shots. Altogether it was a great experience. If I had to choose anything to comment negatively about it would be the mis-representation of Mediterranean cuisine. From the menu and overall experience it pushed as more of an Italian restaurant. Can’t wait to return!
Always a lovely experience! The cheeses are fantastic, pastas are lovely. Duck is AMAZING. Pork chop also a standout.
Casbah still does it right... right thru Covid
Excellent as usual, so glad they are open again!!!
Food did not taste as good as it did last year. I’m not sure if the chef is different. They also tried to Bill our brunch as ala carte and was therefore over 40 dollars more. They did correct it.
What a wonderful place to celebrate our anniversary! We had the best service - she was helpful, made excellent suggestions and was very attentive without being overly intrusive. My husband listened to her suggestion and ordered the double-cut pork chop - it was amazing!! I ordered the crab cake and it was ok - not the best I've ever had. I should have listened to her and ordered the chicken as she suggested. Our cheese course appetizer was delicious and both of our salads were wonderful too. We'll definitely be back!
Brought my girlfriend there for her birthday and was given two caramels at the end of the dinner. Other comparable places like Eddie Vs or Capital Grille have given us much better end experiences. Our waitress could see my demeanor shift and I ultimately flagged her down to order a dessert to not be embarrassed by the two caramels that were originally presented to the table. Can recommend for a meal but definitely not a special occasion.
Excellent in every way
Very great good and the service was very nice and personal.
Casbah has been our favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh for many, many years. We enjoy sharing special celebrations with you and quiet dinners when we are in the city. Thank you for your excellent attention to every detail. The wait staff is outstanding and the food preparation is second to none. And please, continue to create the amazing, delicious casserichia!! Gratefully, Albert& Barbara Nalli
First time back since Casbah had closed for the virus and we thought they did an excellent job in distancing the tables, cleaning the tables after each use, and generally being very protective of themselves and patrons. we felt comfortable and safe, and Casbah is the only restaurant that we feel comfortable enough to eat inside.
As always everything about Casbah is terrific!!It's disappointing that they no longer have any beer on tap.We will be back again anyway.
Takes social distancing and masks seriously. Good place to dine during Covid times.
Excellent! So glad Casbah is back. Will is an excellent waiter. The food was delicious and the ambiance quiet for dinner conversation. Great drink selections, too.
We had a lovely meal at Casbah. There is complimentary valet parking in the lot next to the restaurant, though there might be on-street parking available.
The restaurant has converted its courtyard into a heated area, and it is a lovely place to dine. The tables inside are a bit darker and the inside restaurant is quite small, but cozy.
The food was spectacular. We started with the chickpea flatbread with baba ganoush. There was also grilled sourdough bread with butter or labneh. For main courses we had the coriander crusted swordfish and the duck, both well prepared and delicious. For dessert, we shared their dark chocolate and raspberry bread pudding, which was enough for three people. There is a nice selections of wines by the glass....the Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon were excellent.
Dinner came to about $60 a person, with wine, taxes, and gratuity. Would definitely return!
During this very unusual time when restaurants are opening with caution and with restriction, the entire staff did an incredible job of making us feel comfortable and communicating expectations. Casbah is both a celebratory and an every day restaurant for us. To be back again was a real treat. In fact, the food itself was perfect in a way that it may be hadn’t been during more crowded Saturday service nights in the past.
Dinner the first weekend of reopening after the virus. Heavenly flavors (old kitchen staff back on), service variable (new waitstaff, hope they get trained soon!). Very nice atmosphere, nicely dressed diners.
Was able to get my favorite dishes before COVID; ran into a friend that I have not seen for 8 months; had a terrific waiter. All is good.
