Casbah promises an exciting, sophisticated gourmet dining experience in an intimate, comfortable atmosphere. On the first floor, the year-round heated patio & Southern European-inspired dining room offer elegant seating in an open, warm space. For more seductive & intimate dining, the lower level, with a glass-enclosed wine room, stone-covered walls & innovative lighting provides the coziest of retreats.
Definitely one of my favorite restaurants. Never had a bad meal here. Spent Easter dinner with my family here for the 2nd year in a row. Had the pea risotto and carrot puree this time and both were delicious. My family loves the cavatelli. Our waitress was wonderful and so were the other servers who visited our table.
Lovely, as always.
Delicious food and great service. Many options for fish and meats.
The food was amazing. We ordered the octopus appetizer and the pork chop as our entree! Our waiter Joseph was also great!
I had the half chicken and it was to die for! Also the hummus and the calamari app were on point!! The waiter was really great for recommendations as well. I have been to many high end pittsburgh restaurants and I’d say this is probably top 3 meals I’ve ever had. We will definitely be returning.
Happy birthday to my wife! Casbah one of her favorites...
Very tasty ravioli gremolata; disappointing scallops appetizer: lots of components, little flavor.
Food was good waite staff very friendly, had close to a tent atmosphere
My experience at Casbah was astoundingly terrific! I went there to meet my aunt, the atmosphere is perfect for catching up with people, and share in exquisite food! The Spanish Rock Octopus appetizer made me question all my past octopus experiences! Wonderful, Highly recommend!
The food was fantastic as usual! Love the short rib & short rib ravioli dishes.
Fabulous first experience. Food was amazing and prepared perfectly. Presentation was beautiful. We will be back!
Definitely one of the best two or three restaurants in Pittsburgh!
Casbah is expensive but not too, too much and worth every penny. The food is always good and if you are planning a special occasion, it won't break the bank and you won't be disappointed.
They accommodated our early arrival and valet parking also assisted with parking vintage car. Happy hour pricing on drinks, yummy appetizer, salad and entree left us with take home containers, Definitely will be back.
The food at Casbah is very nice, not what I would call fabulous, but consistently good enough to feel like a treat. It is an exceptionally pleasant place to have a leisurely meal. The tables are far enough apart and the noise level low enough that you can chat with your companions comfortably. Service is excellent- neither slow, nor rushed. I have often chosen it for a celebration, and will continue to do so. Reliably good.
Just brunch with the best friend.
Sunday Brunch at Casbah is a great way to begin a week! Enjoy good food and excellent service. Delightful!
Truly one of our favorite places. Brunch is wonderful with a great selection and large portions. In addition. The service is always perfect. Friendly, knowledgeable and attentive servers.
Casbah was excellent overall. The menu is somewhat limited but with enough variety to satisfy most diners. The dining rooms offer a choice between the extremely tight and loud inside and the more spacious and quiet outside, which unfortunately is furnished with patio tables.
I love Casbah! Love the “outdoor” space when I can get it. Food is always good—service friendly and easy. Love the wine choices. I go back many times a year
Great food with selections found nowhere else! Highly recommend for a great experience
Being from out of town we felt the food was on par with with a Manhattan restaurant. The only criticism was the service was so good, that we were done in under an hour and felt rushed, which didn't match the atmosphere of the Casbah.
Wonderful as always. Great food and service. I highly recommend!
Birthday celebration with my wife and a friend of ours. As always, extremely enjoyable.
Wonderful meal at Casbah. The waiter was very knowledgeable and welcoming. We shared a fantastic calamari and rock shrimp starter - lightly battered and fried; and then shared a fantastic pasta - Casareccia with scallops and crab. The scallops were perfectly cooked and the pasta and sauce were delicious. The main courses - one of us had the Haddock and the other had the lamb - were both quite good. We topped it all off with a Butterscotch pot de creme. The wine list is also very good. Nice place - with a good neighborhood feel. Looking forward to going back on our next trip to Pittsburgh.
Outstanding food and service. Our server, Megan was excellent. We would like to acknowledge the outstanding young man who bussed our table and brought our appetizer and checked on us. He was superb. One example was when he described the cheese course to my wife, then turned to me to repeat the description" in case I missed it", which, in fact, I did because of a hearing problem. I understand that he is a high school student but if he continues in the hospitality industry he will be a shining star. Bravo! Big Burrito.
Service and food were superb as always
We enjoyed the pasta for pasta week!
Very consistent restaurant. My fish was delicious.
Casbah is usually a great choice for dinner. As a party of three, we were seated at a table for 6. After we were seated, the hostess moved us to a table for four. She poured water for us, and we sat there about ten minutes. She then came back, and asked if we could move back to the first table again, as she wanted to combine our table with three other empty four tops. We obliged, but come on, get your act together. I had a pork chop that was as tough as any piece of meat Ive ever had. The server never came back to check on our water, or to see if we needed anything. She didnt seem happy, and if that's the case, dont work in the hospitality industry. A serious serious mess that should not have happened.
The lamb shank was amazing. Food was well prepared and staff was very nice.
As always, a great experience. The food and service were outstanding. Soft shell crab was one of best I ever had.
Continues to impress. Our favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh!!
Dined here since it opened and never had a bad meal!
Incredible food at reasonable prices, great wait staff, and clean bathrooms! Only downside I can think of are the uptight patrons LOL.
Always great food and service at Casbah. Love their heated outdoor areas.
It would be nice if they put some food in their happy hour menue
One of my favorite restaurants! We have never been disappointed. We ordered the swordfish and the cavetelli with house made sausage. Both terrific!
We've been fans of Casbah for more than a decade, really since they opened. We always have a great experience here!
I took my family for an early dinner on a Saturday, and the restaurant was surprisingly busy. The service was great and the food was wonderful. I am now rating restaurants on whether the food was memorable. It was.
The value at brunch for the quality of the food and drinks is the best in the city. The salmon appetizer is more than most entrees. We always take out of town guests here for brunch.
Our waitress was very amiable and helpful when we were stuck as to what to order. Tuna tartare, pork chop, and pasta were all first-rate. Bread pudding almost a little too big and was good but nothing outstanding. Maybe concentrate more of the chocolate and raspberries in less bread cubes? My wife said apple pie was excellent and she is a tough judge of apple pie. All in all, the bread pudding ever so slight mis-step did not detract whatsoever from the overall first rate food and great dining experience overall!
Nice varied menu, too. We look forward to visiting again when in Pittsburgh.
Anniversary date! Food was very good and service nice. Enjoyed one of my favorite beers (flower power) on draft, what a treat!
