I go to Casbah roughly five to six times a year. This was my first time having lunch there. I ordered Casbah burger with fries and it was horrible. Instead of mideum rare, the patty was well done, and fries were not fresh. It was very disappointing.
The food & service were superb. My guest who is from NC wants to come back just for another meal. The parking lot attendant was great.
Ambiance was wonderful on the heated patio on a winter's day. Server was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Food was exceptional!
I've lived in Pittsburgh for many years, and Casbah has been on my list for a long time. I can't believe I waited so long to try them! The food, atmosphere, and service was top notch. We sampled a little of everything off the menu, and all of it was amazing. Can't wait to go back!
We thought we could use big burrito pass book but found out it was not good on a Friday It was very noisy and after a huge group left it made hearing a little easier. The individual patrons that came in after us were served way before we were. We kept asking when we would be served and the waitress said she would check. She seemed overworked and we had to ask again. The food was ok. The orichette was extremely sweet but tasty . You could not eat the entire plate without getting tired of it
The meat ravioli was good . We doubt the service was the waitress’ fault. Maybe they need to hire more staff
We have enjoyed dining at Casbah for many years. We have a favorite dish (red pepper casereccia) which is usually delicious. However this time it arrived lukewarm and the flavor lacking. We sent it back to warm it up. The servers were attentive, but this was a really disappointing dining experience.
We always have a great meal at Casbah, good food and service. Highly recommend.
Casbah has been a favorite of ours for along time. Never disappointed. Enjoy the unique menu and the different selection of wines. Service is also top notch.
Our second year enjoying a holiday get together after seeing Phipps’ Holiday Lights. We had a lovely corner table that made it easy to chat. We each enjoyed different entrees, I ordered to filet cooked medium and it was a little over cooked but still had a delicious flavor. Desserts were outstanding with special kudos to the bread pudding.
The food is outstanding. I especially like the scallops appetizer and the veal and beef meatballs.
It was, as usual, all very good. We started with a half order of the Short Rib Ravioli as an appetizer. They are amazing. The short rib is incredibly tender and the veal Demi glaze was rich and unctuous and the seasoning was perfect (sage and thyme maybe?). I had the wall eyed pike, my wife had the Haddock and my friend had the red pepper cassarechia. They were all outstanding, but I honestly don’t think I have had better pasta anywhere than Casbah. It is always amazing. I am already thinking about going back.
I have never been disappointed in Casbah. I highly recommend the cheese plate and olive appetizer. Nice variety of both cheese and olives. Cheese plate served with a nice quince paste and other little extra's. Service, as always was outstanding.
consistently excellent in every way!!The food, the selection, the variety &service is unparalled
I love going to Casbah to brunch it is always a great experience. However this most recent visit the service was extremely slow, we were there for over 90 minutes which was hard when we had young children with us. A bit more faster service would have been appreciated
Staff could be friendlier. Food very good. Nice brunch with friends.
Great Grilled walleye
Great food. The tuna tartare was a bit bland otherwise our entrees were fantastic.
It’s our 100th day anniversary dinner. Living near the restaurant, we are curious about the good looking Casbah and the dishes there. So we picked this for celebrating our anniversary. Thanks for the wise choice! I have to say the service there was amazing! And they gave us a dish written “happy 100th day anniversary “, it’s soooo cute!
I ordered Swordfish and my boyfriend ordered Long Island duck. We both thought dishes are awesome! No matter the appetizers in the dishes or the sauces!
We didn’t try the dessert, and wanna try one the next time!
Thanks for Casbah bringing us a wonderful night!
Had another great dinner at Casbah before theater. Had the walleye, which was incredible. Have to get their quickly because it's seasonal. The flavors were perfect and it was cooked to perfection. I also had the arugula salad - very nice. Always one of my favorite places, and I love the ambiance of the patio. Always ask for the seat in the front corner. Perfect for great conversation with a great friend.
Our group of six were seated downstairs
The food was fabulous !
Temperature perfection from chilled beets salad to our delicious Alaskan halibut .
The wine was perfect!
Casbah is always consistent and dependable. They never disappoint. Year after year, thanks for a great birthday dinner!
Delicious food and excellent service as usual.
Reliably very good every time.
Professional service and delicious and unique choices of food! Enjoyed every bite!
My wife and I had a great time at Casbah. The dining area on the ground floor was a little small but nicely arranged and intimate. Decor was subtle and soothing. The food was great tasting and nice presentation as well. We are vegetarian and there were only a couple of options on the menu but the food we ordered was really good and we were not disappointed. It was our first wedding anniversary and the staff did take care of us nicely.
This is a regular for me. Meals are always delicious, the service and the clientele are amazing as well.
Brunch family event
We love Casbah. The food is consistently good, great service and wonderful cocktails.
The food was absolutely delicious! The service was good too. We will definitely be headed back soon!
Visiting our son who goes to CMU. He suggested Casbah and we loved it!
We came for lunch at noon on the day after Thanksgiving, and the three of us each got the Piccola Gusto lunch option. Dad got the arugula salad, swordfish sandwich, and squash risotto; my sister got the cauliflower puree soup, seared rare tuna sandwich, and short rib ravioli; I got the beet salad, BLT club, and orecchiette (my favorite dish in the whole city). And then we passed all of our plates around so that everyone could taste everything. There was nothing we wouldn't order again (as soon as possible), but rising to the top were the cauliflower soup, the two pastas, tuna sandwich, and the beet salad. For three items in two courses, it was a good value for lunch, and included most of the best of their dinner menu. The only reason we didn't order dessert is that there were pumpkin pies waiting at home.
Parents Anniversary lunch was very nice!
Food & service was terrific. They accommodates us immediately a we requested a different tAble.
Birthday dinner was wonderful.
Jamaica was a wonderful server. She is pleasant and attentive. Brunch was delicious and the other staff were also delightful. It is always a great experience.
Our first time there, and I loved the feel of the restaurant.
At first I was upset that they sat us downstairs, but realized that the noise level was wonderful for us older folks. Also, just as great an atmosphere downstairs !
We all enjoyed the food, but the short ribs were a bit on the fatty side..
We will return for sure.
Consistently good food. Octopus very well prepared but was a bit too sweet this time. Burrata and prosciutto were delicious. Duck was excellent. Roast chicken very good but a bit over salted. Always a sure bet at Casbah.
One of us had the beet salad and the other had the arugula salad...both were so good to start off our meals. Then we both had the pork chop which was delicious! Will definitely be going back!! Our waiter Garvin was wonderful and very attentive.
