The restaurant occupies a 1926 historic home nestled among the trees on the edge of downtown Sarasota. Patrons may choose indoor or outdoor dining (weather permitting), including our lovely rooftop seating area, tucked in under the branches of the old live oak trees that surround the building. The perfect setting... exclusive, romantic and intimate.

First, the good. Set in a charming 1926 home decorated nicely. We were greeted promptly and seated in a cozy nook. House wines were very good.
Now for the rest. We wondered why we were the only diners, given the online reviews. We ordered the Pollo Saltimbocca and Pollo Florentine. Both were tasteless and the smallest portion of a chicken breast ever....maybe we each got a quarter of a chicken breast and it was cut into two pieces. The chicken was hard to cut as it was so rubbery and tough. My husband didn’t eat any of the spinach as it tasted bad. My green beans and carrots were decent but the asparagus was way over cooked...almost like mush. For $25.00 a plate, it was also over priced for both the quality and quantity. Not one other diner came in the entire time. I can see why. We would never go back and strongly suggest you give them a pass.
Amazing dining experience- wonderful menu and ambiance
We will be beck!
No liquor, food was very average for the price. I would not go back
Excellent overall experience. Very nice atmosphere, excellent range of dinner choices all very well prepared. Reasonably priced. One of our regular spots. Consistently very good.
I have had better food at Casa Antica and was a bit disappointed on Friday.
The food was not hot enough. Two people said their meals were too cool.
I like the restaurant and the staff although they have had a change over and the staff do not speak very good English. I think it has become overpriced for the quality of food and service.
Cas Antica, in our opinion, is the best restaurant in Sarasota. The food and service are always superb. This visit did not disappoint. We brought friends with us and they enjoyed it as much as we did.
Great Italian food and excellent wine list. Very friendly.
Seven of us loved it! Celebrating a friend’s birthday, we had our own room! Wine, food, service all stellar. I think we closed the place. We will return.
We sat in our own, quaint room and table. Wonderful atmosphere. Great, attentive service. We loved it and will be back.
if you like Italian food from the Rome area, this is the real deal. Take your partner for a romantic evening or wow a client. Food is fresh, delectable. Ambiance is legendary. They could charge much more for this experience, yet they don't. Excellent wine list.A few more West Coast reds would be appreciated.
We really enjoyed it!!.
We had a group of 6. I enjoyed my choices as did my wife. Unfortunately, the other 4 guests weren’t pleased. Too salty, too dark, too small etc. Nice location and more consistency. Good luck!
I love savor Sarasota. You get to try different restaurants, some of them I’ve never heard of before. That is the case with Casasantica Ristorante. My lovely date had the savor Sarasota .She thought the salmon was tasty and cooked properly; the “Caesar salad” was satisfactory and reminded her of the one you can buy in Costco. The pasta ,which is a side dish, and a very nice feature was cooked properly but lacked flavor. I ordered the pasta and seafood ,plenty of mussels ( which were tasty) but only three small maybe 4 shrimp. Unfortunately, the calamari were chewy. The sauce was ok but something was missing; not sure what could have made e it more tasty. This is a good restaurant, probably 3 1/2 stars. Prices were a little steep, but I’d have to eat more of their selection to give a definitive review.
We enjoyed a wonderful evening with friends over an outstanding meal in a very relaxing setting. My wife and I had the bruschetta, veal piccata and their ricotta/rapini ravioli special. It was all excellent. Our server, Maria, was attentive (just right) and very pleasant. We finished our meal with the almond cake which we will definitely get again.
This was our first time at CasAntica and we visited during Savor Sarasota. Each of us had a fabulous meal and our server was fantastic. The almond cake was very interesting and delicious and the soup of the day - creamy tomato basil - was exceptional. I know we will return.
The restaurant was very quiet and cozy. The food was delicious and the service was excellent!
I’ve been wanting to go here for the longest time, but was unfortunately very disappointed. We chose the Savor Sarasota menu. The choices were fair. Salad was over dressed and not very creative, arugula with a few pieces of shaved cheese. Veal Marsala was tiny and almost no sauce for the pasta . Service was about as bad as we’ve ever had . No one came to offer grated cheese for that or did they even asked how we liked our food. We decided to have another bottle of wine (there were 4 of us) she brought the wine list but never came back to take our order. Really? They ran out of desserts, so we had to settle for another choice. A really bad overall dining experience.
The seating is too tight, the menu is limited, and the food is fair, at best. Service was very good but when you're serving so-so food in a tight space, the staff can only do so much and still be enthusiastic. Would not go back. Even receptionist was dour.
We enjoyed a delicious dinner as part of Savor Sarasota. The ambiance was romantic, the service impeccable and the noise level relatively quiet.
best Veal we have found since Italy. Good Friendly service. Excellent Savor Sarasota Menu
Easy to get a reservation.
Very good decor. Cozy small dining room downstairs up front. Outside dining available
Located close to Theater District
Having been at this restaurant previously, we knew what to expect. Food was outstanding and made even better by the service that Bruno provided. Both my wife and I participated in the Savor Sarasota event and very pleased. The bruchetta , veal , and lobster ravoli couldn't have been better. The setting of the restaurant, a 1926 house made this evening quite unique. Great for any special occasion.
Ambience is special. Service is terrible. Food is quite good but portions are small.
Not a busy night so puzzling why service was so slow. Our dining took over 2 hours and would have been longer if we did not insist on the bill at dessert time. Tricolor salad was two colors. When we inquired why they said that’s what it is. Yet the next table did receive a normal tricolor salad. We had a table of 4 yet bread basket contained 4 very small pieces. An additional Oder would be $5.50! What? Very puzzling experience.
We had a lovely dinner, a good table, a very good bottle of wine and the food was well presented and was very good. The service was great 👍 we will return.
The Savor Sarasota menu posted on the Visit Sarasota website Included a side of pasta to the order. However, staff checked and said hat it was not. The portion we were served was inadequate at best. Between that and the discrepancy between what was advertised and what was served convinced me I would not return to this restaurant.
Our 1st time dining here, we appeared to be the early arrivals (6pm Res.) which was OK, we were seated inside in the heart of 'antica", a nice old fashioned decor tastefully arranged, the atmosphere was quite genteel initially but did get somewhat louder as the room filled with patrons, as we were at the end of our meal we were not bothered bythe overly loud couple who appeared to be attempting to broadcast their selections, not just for the room but for every nook & cranny in the restaurant.
Overall it was a nicedining experience, very good food, nicely served & presented by our attentive and pleasant waitress.
Took my wife for Mother’s Day. Sparcely populated for this special day. Should have been an indication. Food was ok but server was more interested in her iPhone than us. Plus we opted for no alcohol and the service went downhill from there. Smell of restaurant is old and musty. Not what it’s cracked up to be especially for the price. $75 for two entrees and a salad.
Outstanding local Italian restaurant in an historic old home.
A very quaint place, wonderful atmosphere. The food was excellent and the service was great. Definitely will be back again.
The most charming, old world European ambiance in downtown Sarasota matched with superbly gracious service and delicious food. Family run with a much appreciated commitment to quality, a warm welcome and that lovely personal touch. Highly recommended!
Loved the hostess/our waitress when we got there, the bread was great, wine great, we shared the bruschetta and tagliatelle with lamb and both were really good. Definitely would go back.
We always include a visit to Cas Antica in our annual visit to Sarasota from Canada. This is because we love the ambiance of the charming quaint heritage house, with its intimate rooms at several levels, and expansive open ground floor. The authentic Italian food is excellent, and the service is always friendly.
This place is a hidden gem. The ambience was amazing cute, romantic, and quiet. Perfect for a date night! Food was prepared fresh with delicious ingredients and dessert was amazing as well. Will definitely go back!
The food and service were outstanding.
Repeat visits will continue. One of our favorite place in
Was very dissatisfied for our anniversary dinner. Requested roof top but forgot all about that till we were seated and partially served
Told them on request it was Anniversary. No mention what so ever.
Ravioli was way more then el dente.
Very disappointed. Thou my kids went several weeks before and loved it.
Veal Parma was tough. Everyone else enjoyed there meal
Our server was super sweet and the food was decent. However, the chef was rude and unaccommodating. He wanted to charge us $12 for one spoonful of plain spaghetti noodles. When we asked for a scoop more, his ego kicked in and refused. We spend a good deal of time in Sarasota, as do many of our friends, and most restaurants are very accommodating to children (especially ours who have grown up going to nice establishments, have great manners...). We will never return to this restaurant and will be ensuring our friends avoid as well. I don’t care how good your food is, the manner in which you treat your guests tops it all. And, by the way, the food was just OK. There are so many amazing restaurants in Sarasota so don’t waste your time here!
Portions could be larger. Food delicious.
The house had a musty smell which we noticed right away. The service was ok but not as warm as many of the better restaurants and both of our dinners were way too salty and food got cold quickly as plates were not heated as they are in better restaurants.
Outside dining was very enjoyable. Service was a bit spotty
