Your host Roberto Ercolani comes to Sarasota from Rome, Italy, bringing the best and most delicious authentic Italian dishes to this area. He has been in the restaurant business since his youth. As co-owner of CasAntica, Roberto provides a refined and unique Italian culinary boutique atmosphere.
The restaurant occupies a 1926 historic home nestled among the trees on the edge of downtown Sarasota. Patrons may choose indoor or outdoor dining (weather permitting), always the perfect setting... exclusive, romantic and intimate.
Message from Roberto: “At CasAntica each and every dish is prepared upon request with tender loving care. Our food is not pre-cooked, ensuring the highest quality and fresh flavor every time. It’s a small intimate space, an old house converted into a family restaurant. The food was very tasty, wine menu comprehensive and fairly priced. I didn’t like that the entrees do not come with a side included so when we didn’t order one (min. extra $7.95). It made a change from the big fancy places nearby but I won’t be rushing back for a second time. But it’s worth a try!

We had a lovely dinner, sat outside. We are trying to enjoy the outside before it becomes too hot to sit there. I hate to say that sometimes we forget about this hidden gem, but no more. We have enjoyed every single visit to this restaurant. The food and service have always been phenomenal. the beef carpaccio as a starter is one of my favorites. Our table ordered the traditional pappardelle Bolognese, veal Parm and chicken saltimbocca. Each dish was 10/10! It’s a must and on our regular list!

It is like stepping into an Italian grandmother’s home…with quaint ambiance and delectable cuisine. Order an extra side of tasty veggies for chicken marsala. Attentive service.

We had a wonderful anniversary dinner last night. The fresh made bread, home made pasta and perfectly done vegetables make this restaurant a rare find!! We will be back!!

From the serving staff, the manager and to the chef, all of them were/are so pleasant, accommodating and friendly. The food is always amazing. It feels like a little slice of Italy cocooned in a very busy Sarasota town. Highly recommend for all occasions.

One of the most reasonably priced, quality Italian restaurants in Sarasota. The ambiance of the small country house atmosphere is charming, the homemade pastas delicious, and very, very reasonably priced. One of our go-to places.
