The restaurant occupies a 1926 historic home nestled among the trees on the edge of downtown Sarasota. Patrons may choose indoor or outdoor dining (weather permitting), always the perfect setting... exclusive, romantic and intimate.

We enjoyed an outstanding experience yesterday. The buratta salad was amazing as was the veal saltimbocca! Service was excellent and wine list extensive and affordable.

What a wonderful evening! We found Casantica on yelp. The restaurant is so quaint and we quickly discovered the food was delicious! The sautéed calamari appetizer was beyond amazing! My friend isn’t a big Italian food eater because she does not like marinara sauce! Hah, she discovered that Italian food is so much more than marinara! The Saltimbocca was perfect! Will definitely return!

We had an absolutely wonderful dinner. Great service, great food, reasonable pricing. The Pollo ala florentina was delicious.

Sadly this restaurant is no longer desirable. The number of warnings on menus (old with scratch outs) regarding pricing for shared items including a warning on the menu that you will receive one piece of bread, or you pay for more is so off-putting, it's hard to recover from. The restaurant has become quite expensive and was also empty. Too bad, it used to be great.

Lovely old world setting in a 100 year old house on Main Street in Sarasota. 2 delicious and interesting pasta dishes were had. Sweet wait staff with a friendly attitude. Would highly recommend.
