About Casanova Restaurant
This intimate, small trattoria has the spirit and the charm you would find on Italy and other countries off the coast of the Mediterranean Sea.
The Chef Daniele Dotti, a native of Venice, has created an eclectic menu that brings to the table the flavors, the traditional recipes and the freshness of ingredients so typical of this region. Our Mediterranean Sea Bass is delicious but if you are in the mood for good pasta try our Linguine Mare Nostrum with a variety of sea food and fresh tomato or our special house made fresh pasta Fettucine Casanova. Now you can enjoy all of this right in the middle of the Grand Canal Shoppes, just a few feet away from Italian gondolas.
The atmosphere and the decor are informal and friendly and children are welcome, but at night it can be ideal for a good glass of wine and a romantic dinner.

Casanova Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Although this restaurant opens to the shops at the Venetian hotel, it is tucked into a quiet corner which provides for a bit of privacy. Our party consisted of two vegetarians and one carnivore. All of our appetizers, entrees and deserts were excellent. The cut of meat for my main (Veal Ossobuco Milanese) was excellent and the pricing of everything was very reasonable, especially considering the location. The service was attentive and very friendly. We couldn't have been happier with the experience.
They were kind enough to give me a last minute reservation for a party of 8, they didn’t tell me it would be a fold up table outside of the restaurant, it was very cramped. Food was just okay, too much sauce, fish over cooked, not very hot, etc. Service was slow and often times in accurate.
We had dinner there and sat "outside" (within the enclosed Venetian Shopping Area). The food was good, the service quick and friendly and the pricing reasonable. They had the Football game on the TV. Food portions were above average and we took some home in a box. Overall a good experience.
Food quality was average at best. Way overpriced. I asked for a water and they charged me $7 for it because evidently they had to open a new bottle for it. Somehow my check also had a six dollar fee no one could explain other than a service charge for bringing the water. The place itself looked ugly. I understand it was in the food court but it’s the Venetian Hotel, a five-star resort, where everything is world-class. This place was a disappointment and I felt way overcharged.
We arrived for a late dinner an hour and half before close and the wait staff seems more interested in closing than taking our order, When we called the waiter over, he was friendly and polite. The Marsala we ordered was not Marsala, just ordinary tomato sauce, eggplant, cheese and noodles...yawn. Over priced spaghetti but using the 50% off dining card made the dinner more reasonable.
Don't bother...Overpriced for quality of food. You would get a better meal at Olive Garden. The steak was tough and over salted. The salmon over cooked and not fresh. The lamb chops were overdone and cut too thin to be even cooked rare. The gnocchi was just okay. The bartender did not know how to make a vodka gimlet. The wait staff was courteous and attentive but made no attempt to offer salad or appetizer. The atmosphere was supposed to be quaint and romantic but felt more like imposter Italian food while eating at the mall. I would not recommend or ever go back.
The waiter came about 15 minutes with menu . Took order . Bought my fish very rare , not done. Finally got a hold of someone to tell them about the fish sent it back. The plate came back extremely hot burnt my hand when they handed me the plate. The flat bread 2 people ordered was pizza instead. The drink one ordered was something different . Some oysters we're not done. Could not find waiter to tell him the problems nor did once we received our food never saw anyone again till he dropped the check off and went directly to a big party table and was laughing there. It was our 20 year anniversary had a party of 6 and my bill was $116.00 .And felt like our table was a waste off there time.. we will never be back and will definitely not give good reviews to our friends and family that goes out there alot.... Extremely bad experience considering we had renewed our vows then came to your restaurant after doing alot off research for a nice dinner.. please feel free to contact me if you want to hear my experience directly from me. 815-354-0627
Meh, slightly below average Italian food. We had to ask for bread, which was served with butter rather than olive oil. The crust on the pepperoni flatbread was soggy and tasteless. The lasagna was too cheesy. The Tuscan bean soup did not have enough seasoning, other than salt. It was a long wait for us to get the check after our plates had been cleared.
We went here during a visit to the Venetian based on the OpenTable listing. The food was very good, and was reasonable compared to other similar places. The service was slow -especially when we first sat down. Also, had the impression that this place was on the Venetion canal. In reality this was not true. We had a table facing the interior looking out that the other mall restaurants.
The BEST service we had during our weekend in Vegas, hands down. They were so friendly and attentive, the second our bread basket was empty, a new one appeared. Our food came out quickly, even though we were seated next to a large party of approximately 30 who were seated at the same time.
We all ordered pasta, and it was delicious!! Good portion size too.
Get the melon mule, it was fantastic!
Before choosing this restaurant, I viewed the menu online. It looked like there was a nice variety. The food was less than satisfactory and did not feel authentic. Also, when I was viewing it online, I got the impression it was fine dining but it most certainly was not. This restaurant is casual dining. It was a bit of a let down for our group as this was a celebration dinner for a wedding. I take some responsibility for not doing more research. I think if we had stumbled upon this restaurant and walked in, we may have had a better overall satisfaction. The staff was friendly and there were some extra choices for children. The did congratulate the newlyweds with complimentary glasses of champagne.
I booked this place for my sisters bachelorette party dinner. The food was delicious and a great price. The drinks are pretty expensive but they are everywhere on the strip so I wasnt surprised. We had a group of 8 and everyone loved their meal. Not a single complaint. I would definitely go there again the next time I am in town. The only downside was that the reservation was for 15 and some people had backed out and we needed at least half of the people there in order to be seated. We had 7 when we got there so we had to wait for 10 minutes for the 8th person to come so we could be seated.
Don't be fooled by the small unassuming space this restaurant occupies within the Venetian. Excellent food and presentation. The rib eye steaks were made to perfection. The seafood dishes were also fresh and plentiful. Able to accommodate our party of 15. You won't be disappointed.
Birthday. - they were told. Twice in advance and upon arrival and they did nothing they said they would do. Very disappointing Salmon was not fresh rather food service salmon patty. Salad was good and soup was good. Scallops with shrimp was average. Prince point was high. I could have had better food an many other places in Vegas. Do not recommend
