The Chef Daniele Dotti, a native of Venice, has created an eclectic menu that brings to the table the flavors, the traditional recipes and the freshness of ingredients so typical of this region. Our Mediterranean Sea Bass is delicious but if you are in the mood for good pasta try our Linguine Mare Nostrum with a variety of sea food and fresh tomato or our special house made fresh pasta Fettucine Casanova. Now you can enjoy all of this right in the middle of the Grand Canal Shoppes, just a few feet away from Italian gondolas.
The atmosphere and the decor are informal and friendly and children are welcome, but at night it can be ideal for a good glass of wine and a romantic dinner.
This was a resort restaurant that tried but missed. For the price you should have better food. The wait staff was okay, menu was fair, High price did not meet the expectations
Won’t be going back.
Two colleagues and I went here after a day-long conference. The cocktails we ordered pre-dinner were all perfectly made and delicious. The bread basket was welcome for hungry tummies, but was nothing special. However, the cioppino and smoked salmon pasta with vodka sauce were heavenly. Topped off with gelato and cannoli we had a memorable meal. My only complaint was the aggressive violinist who interrupted our conversation by poking the scroll of his instrument directly in my face and then doing the same thing to each of my colleagues for a total of 15-minutes of unwanted serenading. While his music was lovely, we were not receptive at the time and felt obligated to tip three times for each song.
Great food and a really nice atmosphere. A hidden gem. Worth checking out for a nice romantic dinner.
Horrible chef. Food was inexcusably bland and uninspired, even for a low end tourist venue. Lots of unhappy looking diners.
The manager was accomadating he sat us a a very nice booth. The server was wonderful. More old world service. He was very knowledgeable and extremely professional. It is refreshing to have this kind of service. He did not wish to be our friend. He just wished to give great service. The food was extent and prepared well. The entrees came hot and well presented. The restaurant had a strolling violinist that came to our table and plaid our song. It was our 45th wedding anniversary. I give this restaurant a thumbs up. Thank you to the manager and staff for making this memorable.
Too noisy off the mall crowd.
My family had a wonderful time at Casanova’s. The food was delectable. My mom enjoyed the Lamb Chops Scottaditto. My daughter enjoyed the Ricotta and Smoked Salmon Flat bread. My sister enjoyed the Fettuccine Casanova. And I enjoyed a dish with sea bass, shrimp, scallops, calamari , mussels, clams in a tomato sauce.
Wonderful experience from the service to the food. Lasagna was amazing and service was great! Would definitely recommend and will visit again.
The servers could have been more attentive. The food was good but for the price to me it did not equate to what we expected. Also more variety with beverages. My party doesn't drink alcohol so we wanted sweet tea. However the restaurant didn't offer sweet tea and this was a complete let down. Because even though packaged sugars were available because the tea was already ice cold the sugar did not mix in well. We just expected a better experience. We also wanted to sit inside of the restaurant verses the noisy patio. The hostess would not allow us to sit in the inside, which was very puzzling to me. So we were forced to sit on the patio open area and were cold the entire time.
Everything was fantastic from the greeting to the goodbye.
Food was good except for the tasteless caprese salad. Ambience was food court quality. Most diners were in rumpled shorts and tank tops. Too tacky for the high prices!
I would recommend this restaurant food was good, the service excellent and it was a wonderful patio eating experience
It was great? The wait staff was wonderful & the pasta excellent! I had the rigatoni Alla bolognese & my husband had the lasagna bolognese. Both were excellent! We will be back the next time we are in Vegas!
We thought this restaurant would be a nice place to eat for date night. However, based on the noise level and food court atmosphere, we had to leave after ordering. The food is over priced and simple. I would not recommend to anyone other than someone wanting a party atmosphere.
Steak was a little overdone and server explained it would take a while to redo so they did offer me a glass of wine to make up. Otherwise, was a good meal.
Service was spot on with great assistance. Food was a good value but was done very well. Not a fantastic ambiance but for a nice dinner without fanfare it was great.
Great service! The pasta plus a side was enough to split between 2 people.
Amazing lobster ravioli...tomato cream sauce was a perfect match. Restaurant cc authorization system was down...fortunate to have cash to pay on us at that moment...this was inconvenient though.
We requested to sit inside because the noise level next to the corridor was noisy. At first it was quieter inside but once it started to fill up inside, it was also very noisy. Food was very good, but too noisy for our taste
Four of us went to dinner and everyone was very happy with their meal. Rack of Lamb, Seafood Pasta and Chicken Parm - all were very good!
Good food. Quick service. But, sitting outside next to the greeter was loud and pretty annoying. Food a little over priced.
I had to tip above the suggested level. We have always been welcomed by the owner or a fine young lady with a warm smile and attentivness. Somehow they remember their customers and make you feel special. The food is always consistently outstanding, service attentive , respectful, and friendly. The water glasses and beverages are kept full and and the staff stays closby to provide any amenities. The chefs, managers and waiting staff gel as a fine trained team focused on making our dining experience a special occasion. We dine here at least twice per trip. My family wants to try other options on the strip but they always fail in comparison to Casanova. Thanks again. The Guizzotti family.
Food was good and an affordable place to eat in Vegas.
We visited Casanova during a Vegas trip and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. We visited late but service was impeccable and we didn’t feel rushed. Entrees were primarily seafood, linguine and clams, lobster ravioli. Entrees were served piping hot and portion size was good.
We dined “outdoors” near concourse of Venetian shoppes so there was so noise. It did not detract from dinner though.
The manager was attentive and visited us twice to check on us. Nice touch
Thank you for having us! Very accommodating with our toddler.
The food was absolutely amazing! Best Italian food ever! Service was great !
If you are ever at the Venetian Hotel you must go to Casanova - everything was absolutely wonderful - very attentive helpful staff and the food, oh my gosh was sooo delicious - definitely going back again and again
Excellent food and service
Celebrating my daughters 21st with family - staff was so understanding when our Guest of Honor was delayed - THANK YOU! Our evening turned out GR8
reservation system messed up, waitress messed up 2 meals, service was terribly slow
Slow service, food order was wrong twice, took 20 mins just to get water. Business meal that was embarrassing... wished we had just left. Food was good but overpriced. Will never go there again.
Open table allowed us to get a reservation in the middle of Las Vegas chaos.
We wanted to eat at a nice sit down restaurant inside the Venetian. Before we left where we were staying I did a little research and made reservations at this restaurant. When we got there I immediately knew I made a mistake. It was right along a busy walkway within the Venetian mall. The server sat us down at a small table right next to that busy walkway. I should have asked her to move us but I didn’t want to make a scene. The whole tome we ate I was literally about two feet from hundreds of people strolling through the shops. When we ordered I wanted coke. They only had Pepsi. Not a big deal until he brought out a can of Pepsi and poured it in my glass. About 25 ministers later we finally received our food it tasted fine but the portion sizes were tiny. My wife ordered the Lobster ravioli. I payed $26 for 5 pieces of ravioli. When we left our bill was almost $60 for a can of Pepsi, 5 ravioli and my plate of Gnocchi. We were still hungry so later that night I had to pay for another meal at another restaurant. Please save yourself the time, money and a horrible experience and go somewhere else!
Loved the food, the price point was very good for Vegas!
The food here was absolutely DELICIOUS. We had the saganaki cheese appetizer as well as the carpaccio appetizer. They were both absolutely incredible. The cabernet wine by the glass was also very good. I had the most amazing gnocchi dish with tomato sauce, basil & mozzarella cheese. Simple but out-of-this-world. It is harder than it seems to make a great tomato sauce and this one was unbelievably delicious. Our server was friendly and responsive. The only minor complaint my husband had was the flavor of the water we got. He said it tasted very chlorine-y and he felt that that shouldn't be the case considering how great the food was. He also wished they had not served wrapped butter pats, but rather a higher quality butter with the bread. However, these are very minor issues considering how wonderful everything else was. The prices were also fairly reasonable (for Vegas). Ambiance was fairly loud and not super intimate so if you're looking for a very romantic place, this isn't it. It is inside the Grand Canal Shoppes so has a more casual feel, yet still a nice environment. I would definitely recommend this place and go here again the next time we're in Vegas!
Overpriced food overall was ok not great .
We ordered Kabbab pasta chicken Alfredo
It convenient located service was excellent
We ate lunch there yesterday and were the only ones at the place at noon. Not a god sign. But, the food was good. We had beef carpaccio and it was a small portion but, good. My husband had the bean soup and it didnt agree with him. We had the saganaki and that was good but the crab cake was run of the mill. Nice service but couldn’t get over we were the only ones there.
The food and service were very good. As always, for a restaurant on the strip, the prices were a little high, but not as bad as most strip restaurants
A very pleasant setting. The restaurant is relatively small so booking is probably a good idea at busy times. Food was excellent and the service was friendly and attentive. Will definitely book again. Only slight criticism is the beer works out about the same price as the food but didn't let that spoil our visit.
It was a very pleasant surprise as they were very helpful with a large group of 16 people.
