Casa Rustica Restaurant
Good variety and food. Really liked the risotto. Will return.
We have been eating here for years, but tonight was the biggest disappointment. The waitress who seated us just sat our menus on the table and walked away without a word. Our waitress that took our order was very pleasant. However, we were seated by the wall filled with wine corks and we witnessed another waitress come sift through them and take 3 out and take them to a table and bottle a customer’s wine with one of the corks. My daughter and I had just been digging through those corks looking at the different ones. No telling how many hands are in there daily. We asked our waitress if this was customary? She said she didn’t do that, but we told the people who’s bottle of wine it went into. With Corona virus and App State has 3 cases mumps going around, I can’t imagine this being sanitary. My
Great place to go for a quiet, enjoyable meal. Menu not as extensive as it could be, but did not have a problem finding something that appealed to me.
The bruchetta appetizer was probably the best I've had anywhere.
I recommend Casa Rustica without reservation.
Great food, great service, great ambience! Haven't been there in years until we went the other night, I'm ready to go back again!
AS ALWAYS THE BEST FOOD EVER WE DRIVE AN HOUR AND A HALF JUST TO ENJOY THE FOOD AND THE QUITE ATMOSPHERE OF THIS FINE ITALIAN RESTAURANT!!!
This was my third trip to Casa Rustica and each time the food has been wonderful. However, this time, the service was awful. We were seated in the bar area, which was not ideal for a nice dinner, but fine. Our service was okay, until the waitress brought us our food. One she dropped our food off, we did not see her for another 45 minutes. We asked her for boxes and the checks, which were to be split evenly. She came back about 15 minutes later to clear the table without boxes or checks. We waited until 15 minutes to go look for her, at which time we were told she was "in the back figuring something out". She finally came back with our checks, which we had waited on for another 30 minutes or so. This was not the best experience.
We love Rustica! Food is always amazing as well as the wait staff!
We loved it! The pasta was amazing and the service was fast. Very romantic and intimate dining room.
Great food and vibe!
The waiter was attentive and helpful. It was a wonderful experience.
Castle rustica as always great… Food, service, and atmosphere
Just ok In every way. Food is fine, not great. The service was not good. It appears that the young waiter had way too many people. He was very slow and forgetful and not attentive to group.
We were seated near the fire place which was very romantic and beautiful. The food was excellent, served promptly, and was reasonable in price. So it was unfortunate that our server didn’t check on us very often, leading to long periods before our water glasses were filled. And the glass cover over the table cloth was not sparkling clean. So there were many high points but a couple minor issues which detracted from the overall experience.
This was our first time at Casa Rustica. There were four of us(2 couples). The food was awesome with generous portions. Service was great too. We sat across from the fireplace which made the experience even better! There is a full bar and a nice complement of local beers including some on tap. This is a great place! Try it you will not be disappointed! We will be back!
This place is the real deal Italian, homemade pasta, delicious!!!!
Best Italian food ever. Will return soon. Pleasant staff
Good food. Nice, quiet ambience for Valentines dinner.
Our favorite restaurant that we have been going to almost since they opened. Love the atmosphere and the food! The chicken saltimbocca and the piatto di mare were fabulous! Got the triple chocolate cheesecake for dessert and it was awesome. Both the owner and the hostess checked on us even though it was packed for Valentine's Day.
A gem in Boone, NC! We had been here before and were amazed how well they handled the group of about 20 - all served nearly simultaneously and each dish was raved about. This time it was just the two of us. We asked for a table near the fireplace in advance, and enjoyed a delicious meal in a cosy setting. My salmon oscar had a generous helping of lump crabmeat, with a nice crispy exterior and moist interior on the salmon. My husband's pasta special had plentiful seafood and fresh, tasty pasta. We will be back!
We got engaged here 25 yrs ago
Although they had another full room people were crammed into one room. There was a large group behind our table every time someone passed between the two tables the bumped my daughter or husband. We marked that we were coming for a birthday celebration. No acknowledgement at all by anyone. Most expensive food of our entire trip yet it was everyone’s least favorite.
Great birthday dinner with my family. We love Casa!
Great restaurant.Love the log cabin building. Excellent food.
Never disappointed when we eat here. Fresh delicious food. Friendly casual atmosphere with great service.
Always a great night out; outstanding food with something for everyone on the menu
Our meal was better than snuff but not as dusty.
Great food excellent service
The food was not good - the penne vodka and chicken parm was sub-par. The server was lovely.
Always a good option when visiting the area. Very affordable and plenty of food.
Our favorite restaurant in Boone!!! Always so accommodating. Warm and comfortable atmosphere. Servers are always super nice. Reliably good food. The pasta purses with seafood and the steaks are my favorites!! We almost always go to Casa Rustica when in the mountains.
Cada Rustica is one of the reasons we return to Boone, NC. Delicious food, outstanding service!
Overall, very good. I had pasta with primavera and they were quite scimpy in the veggies. I think there were about 2-3 slices of mushroom (probably not even a whole mushroom). They charged us for soup which was said to be included in the meal. We enjoyed ourselves but there were just a few details that could be improved upon
My husband and I were in the area checking out potential retirement home purchases. When on these types of travels always looking for the local restaurants to check out the food and people. This does not disappoint. I couldn't resist ordering the duck and it was delicious. Even with the crowded restaurant the staff was attentive and pleasant.
First of all, we were seated in a very tight area (upstairs) next to a large table with adults at one end and the children closest to us. The adults were focused on their drinks and ignoring the children who were being children. No relaxed dining for us! Our waitress was responsible for that table and ours. She was not able to tell anything about the wine, except which was most popular. My husband ordered the Saltimbocca Piemontese with veal and angel hair pasta, which he really enjoyed. I had the Francese with veal and fettuccine. In my opinion, the sauce overwhelmed the pasta and I do not think the mushrooms were fresh. The salad was mostly spring mix lettuce with a few croutons , carrot, and chopped tomato. Overall, just a fair dining experience when compared to other Italian restaurants I eaten.
We had a reservation for 7:30 pm on December 26, 2019. We arrived 10 minutes early however we were not seated until 7:40 pm. We were sat at the first table from the door which means we were in direct view of the cash register, hostess and manager, keep that in mind. Our waitress, Sabrina, appeared to have four tables in the area of where we were seated, which was overwhelming her and should have been recognized by the manager. After several minutes at the table, our waitress came over and ask for our drink order. As soon as we gave our drinks, she walked off. We were going to order an appetizer but we didn’t give us a chance. She sat our drinks down and was gone again without giving us a chance to order an appetizer. When the waitress brought our bread to the table, I ask for napkins due to there was non on the table. She didn’t return with the napkins. Several minutes later she delivered our salads, napkins were mentioned again without any reaction. While eating the salad I left the table and went directly to the manager and said, “I am tired of asking, can you please give me a napkin.” I would think that someone making a statement would give me a hint that I need check into something with that table... No change in customer service. We repeatedly ran out of drink. When our entrees arrived my lasagna was cold however I am guessing the kitchen staff thought it was proper to put really hot sauce on it so I wouldn’t notice. My wife had ordered cheese ravioli which had a glaze on top from where it had sat in the kitchen for so long and was cold. After we finished our meal, the waitress delivered our bill. The bill showed $51.24. We have been eating at Casa Rustica for many years. This was absolutely the worse experience we have ever had. I will not pay $25 a person for cold food and poor customer service. Last but not least pay attention to sanitation grade which is posted in the lobby (91.5).
The food and service was excellent* The atmosphere was very nice with a large fireplace and a log cabin style. We dined there for our 40th anniversary. We will be back again and highly recommend this restaurant!!!!
Greg & Mary
Service was top notch. Best fried calamari i have had in a long time. Shrimp/crab/scallop pasta dish lacked any discernible flavor though shrimp and scallops were good. Cannoli was excellent.
Casa Rustica is my #1 stop in Boone for dinner! Love the chicken Alfredo.
Certainly one of the premier restaurants in the High Country.
The food was amazing! Great experience.
