Casa Rustica Restaurant
This charming restaurant was within a short drive or even walking distance from the Courtyard Marriott. We had a reservation for four at 6:00 pm on Sunday night and were seated promptly. Service is at a relaxed pace, but attentive. Servers help one another when one gets busy. Shrimp with Vodka sauce, marinara with meatballs, salmon and filet mignon were all excellent! We will be back. 2nd time here. We enjoyed both visits immensely!!!
Good atmosphere but with a few large parties, it was very loud.
Simply horrible. This place has gone down hill from the last time we were here years ago. Very low quality/ cleanliness rating as well ( didn’t realize this till after the fact ). I swear I don’t know how it will continue to survive.
6 sloppy greasy water glasses to start at the table. Filthy silverware. Absolutely tasteless food.
We’re northerners , and now from South Charlotte. Our expectations are high. This place is dog sh**. Trust me on this one.
Although they offered a small compensation for greasy glassware, tasteless food and undercooked chicken ( we didn’t ask for any accommodations). I wouldn’t go back here for free. Recommend you don’t go.
We were also surrounded by ignorant locals. I mean real sh** kickers. Clearly making comments about us knowing we were from out of town. There is zero sophistication about them. Bottom feeders.
Don’t know if this will get published but it’s the damn truth and you’ll see how bad this place sux should
You decide to give them tour hard earned money.
Fantastic meal and great staff was so good we went twice😊
For all of the build up I had heard about Casa Rustica I was not impressed. Except for a super great server it was a very ordinary meal. I had the linguine with white clam sauce. I don't know why some restaurants feel the need to serve the clams still in their shell. Like how I know about where babies come from I know where well prepared clams come from and don't need to deal with the shells each time. No zip at all to this choice and the clams had no taste. I was hoping for something special but Casa Rustica didn't deliver.
Food was excellent as usual. Booth was dark and no additional lighting was available. Service was slower than usual, but they had a large crowd that night. Overall very good and will go back again.
Excellent lasagna and wine. Best server too. Ask for Devon!
The food is fabulous. We travel about an hour and half just to eat here! The service was exceptional! We highly recommend Casa Rustcia and we will return on a regular basis.
Food was absolutely amazing, house made salad dressing and fresh pasta and sauces were great!
Chicken Alfredo had chicken that was burned on 1 side. 2 members of our party had this dish. We notified our waiter. He said he would see if he could get more chicken. He didn’t respond that the meal would be remedied so my dad asked for the check and to have the meals removed from bill. When we were all almost finished he gave replacement grilled chicken to one of our party but not to my dad who also had the grilled chicken. Other meals were good. I would certainly try this restaurant again. Too bad 2 members of my family don’t want to!
Food was yummy and I had the salmon special. There were 10 of us and all meals were raved about
Chef Hunter was terrific as always. Server, staff likewise. This visit was during the week, restaurant not jammed like on Saturday me weekends.
Usually excellent, this visit was a tad disappointing. Chef Hunter’s soft shell crabs were amazing as usual. Unfortunately, the salmon was overdone and dry, and the pasta accompaniment was tasteless. We thought about sending it back but chose not to. It was a busy weekend in season.
It is still one of our favorites, and anyplace can have an off ( it wasn’t “bad” ) night. We will still come back often.
Great food. Great service. Highly recommend it. Enjoy!!
Great Italian food!
I hope the woman working at the front desk on the evening of September 14 is paid very well! She was handling all guests as they came in, directing another employee who really seemed to not have very much initiative on their own, stopping by tables to see how everything was and breaking down/setting up tables for larger/smaller parties. In the midst of all that, she still managed to wait til the right table came up for us per my request through Open Table. My husband has the best birthday dinner ever - filet special! We didn't even know about the free cannoli, and oh my goodness it was very good. I had the pasta purses with your pesto cream sauce - so much food! thank you.
We have been coming here for years and always have had a great dinner. The restaurant is beginning to look like it needs a facelift. We had to ask about our waitress after waiting 20 minutes after being seated. Once our waitress came, she was great. Took about 20 minutes for our drinks to be served. Food was good, just didn’t have the feel like it had before. We brought out of town friends and felt we had to apologize for evening.
Personable staff and thereby the service was overtaxed with volume from a Saturday night crowd.
Excellent!🍺🍷🍸, great food and friendly. This restaurant is a must while in Boone.
Romantic dinner with hubby! Atmosphere was pleasant. Food was fresh and perfectly prepared. Large selection to choose from on menu. Staff was courteous
We've been looking for good home cooked style italian restaurant in the area and finally found it! walked in to a cozy casual setting... Service was excellent and menu selection was ample. We had our drink order delivered quickly and soon was the bread selection , accompanied with an olive oil dip with seasonings which weren't over garlicked! Instead fresh & refreshing....We had a chicken cacciatore & chicken parmigiana- both came with house salad and sides of pasta (your choice). The marinara was thick and delicious...my wife's cacciatore she complained was too big! My chicken parm was perfectly prepared in an egg wash... 2 breast portions which weren't at all oily....side penne marinara was great. loved it and will return!
We go there often, are regulars. Food always excellent. This visit was during the week so it was quiet. Service wasn’t bad, but it is usually better.
Alex was very accommodating, attentive and knowledgeable. The food was prepared perfectly.
Nice anniversary dinner. Service was excellent. The stack was magnificent! Filet was very good but crabmeat top was really salty. Canolli was yummy! We will return!!!
Service was great and food was even better. Best food in town. It is our new favorite place
Waited at hostess station for a long time with no one there, finally seated at a table with no plates or silverware. That was then placed in a pile at the end of the table and we set it ourselves. Waiter was basically inattentive (drinks not filled, etc). Food was very good, however. Place was busy, so maybe they were short staff. Not a great experience overall.
Great food, great service, live music. Can't get any better than that!
Some of the best Italian food in the South.
Even with reservation, waited 30 mins to be seated. Table service was slow. Had to ask multiple times for everything (water, utensils, to order). Food did not taste fresh when finally arrived.
In visiting Boone for the first time we picked this restaurant out on line. It turned out to be a quaint gem with great food and service. We were seated immediately with an on-line reservation and would recommend doing so especially on weekends. The chicken parmigiana was fantastic along with the cannoli.
Not as good as I remembered it.
The seafood alla Vodka was over-sauced and lacked flavor. Not much shrimp and scallops in the dish.
We did enjoy the Prosciutto & Mozzarella Arancinis appetizer (baked risotto balls).
There are more dining choices today in Boone. Not sure we'll return.
Great Italian food! Recommend a table in the main dining room, where entertainment is playing.
The four of us all enjoyed our food. Music was lovely dinner entertainment. We plan to return next time in Boone.
Chef Hunter again outdid himself. His sesame crusted tuna nachos are to die for. Hunter’s chicken is unique, can vary slightly depending on what fresh gradients are available, and never disappoints.
Our favorite Italian restaurant. Had an excellent dinner for my husband's birthday. Penne ala vodka sauce with Italian sausage is suberb!!!!!
There was a lot of crab meat on the grilled salmon and the bernaise sauce was excellent. Service was good but had to wait a long time for our drinks.
Overall wife and I really enjoyed our visit and meal. We had the fried sampler for starter, a ton of calamari and all was very good. Salads were fresh, our entries were a seafood pasta dish and chicken piccata with pork belly risotto ... all very enjoyable. Wish the sanitation rating was a little higher (90.5)
the food was good and the service was excellent. great menu with variety
