Our full service mahogany bar is a popular stop for locals and visitors looking for a nice refreshment and a hearty meal in a cozy, friendly atmosphere. We have three dining rooms, each with a slightly different character afforded by our hand-formed brass hearth fireplace, Western original art collection, famous antique gun collection, and alluring floral arrangements.
Casa's Famous Fried Chicken
Mashed potatoes, gravy, biscuit, and honey
This restaurant has an old school feel. Everyone is very friendly and the food is great. The portions are are big, so make sure you are hungry.
I had the famous crispy fried chicken. My companion had the petrale sole. The chicken was way too much food (although delicious) and cost $26.95, which is pricey for fried chicken. It came with a breast, thigh, leg and wing. That's half a chicken and more than any one person should eat. Admittedly I took half of mine home, but it would have been preferable to have had just a breast, or a thigh and leg, and charge less for it. The crispy fried chicken was not crispy the next day.
The service was impeccable though, and the decor was so interesting.. It was listed as $$, but I think it should be categorized as $$$. Total bill for 3 people with one cocktail and one glass of wine was over $150.
I might recommend Casa Orinda if you have little money to burn.
Great, attentive service. Very good selection of Italian and American food. The fried chicken is difficult to pass up. Three out of four of us had the fried chicken! I am trying to think of other occasions to return here.
Casa Orinda...so glad they are Back in Business!

reservations a must
There were many daily specials that should have been found on a separate menu. Too many to be shared read by a waiter (which they were)! None of the specials highlighted by the waiter came with their price.
Great experience. Service was A little bit slow but the food made up for it.
Love this place.
We have missed Casa! Our meal choices were delicious and the service was excellent!
Nice place to dine
An area classic-we are so happy that it made if through 2020
Food is great, comfort food. Staff is friendly and efficient
We have missed dining in at an old time favorite restaurant. Fried Chicken is our crave meal there but so many other dishes are great. We were so worried the pandemic would cease their operations. Carry out was an option we used, but eating a meal in and having it piping hot is a pleasure.
Gotta order the prime rib! Also ordered the prawn cocktail. Fresh and yum
A ten ! As always the goods delivered to perfection! My guests were very pleased that they will bring their visiting family next month.
I wanted to introduce my daughter and her boyfriend to Casa Orinda’s famous fried chicken and we were not disappointed! The to top it off, we shared the most amazing calamari special! Our server was attentive. I have been coming to Casa Orinda since I was a child having grown up in Orinda and I shall continue to enjoy it.
the tables were too close. two of my guests had to stand up to allow the other diners room to sit at their tables
Fabulous food. Wonderful service. We need to dine here more often!
Consistently good overall. Best fried chicken dinner in the Bay Area. Highly recommend.
We had a long wait prior to being seated and our orders taken.
Two things. They ran out of prime rib. And where all of their dishes range 20-40, they offered a tornedos of beef which was delicious but at $55!! If you offer a special that is 20-50% higher than other menu items, I feel you’re obligated to tell the patron!!
The Casa is a favorite dining place, wonderful down home Italian food, always comes out hot and just prepared, great flavors, especially their chicken and fettuccine with meat sauce. Service is pleasant and welcoming, always enjoyable.
Casa Orinda is an exceptional restaurant. During the Pandemic when the restaurant could be open outside and now inside, it is one of the few restaurants that has excellent food and a great staff.
We enjoyed our experience from being seated in a comfortable table as soon as we got there. Great waiter who got our drinks right away. Enjoyed our meal which was served hot & efficiently. Friendly & attentive waitress & waiter. Loved the fried chicken & our waitress was ready with take home boxes & bags!
What a pleasure to be back at the Casa. Gracious service, perfect martini and a delicious meal of fried chicken made for a great evening.
Great time in my favorite restaurant with out of town guests who loved it as well 👍🏼❤️
Great to be back, without masks! Same great food and bar.
This restaurant is an institution; People come in for the fried chicken, fresh fish, steaks and burgers and are surrounded the local history of the past--cowboy motif, wonderful paintings, photography and memorabilia. The wonderful wooden bar is a great place to meet friends and have a great meal, too. The staff is wonderful and familiar, many have been there for years and know how to make all patrons feel at home. We love this restaurant.
Casa Orinda is back with inside dining and great food. We went there last night for our anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Great restaurant!
So happy they made it through 2020! Our all time favorite for comfort food, friends and family
This was my first time at this restaurant. You should come hungry because the portions are enormous. Our waiter was great as well.
Excellent prime rib and rack of lamb. Generous portions and came with vegetables and baked potato (prime rib) and rice pilaf (lamb).
We were early but were seated promptly. All meals were terrific. Our waiter was very patient as we needed awhile to decide what to order. We didn’t catch his name but he was wonderful.
Overall a great dinner experience with friends from out of town!
This was the first time spending a night out with my parents for any occasion in a longtime. We heard about Casa Orinda, which I pass by almost everyday commuting. I made reservations for Father's Day.
The cocktails were great , the service was great, main coarse was incredible, bring an appetite. Fried Chicken was everything I read about and even saw on TV. The amount of food served is more than enough to justifies the menu prices. My family & I will return for sure. We had a great time and a memorable experience. Loved the displays of some fine looking weaponry.
As always a great experience. Everything was wonderful except the baked potato with my prime rib was cold and overdone.
We went for dinner on Father’s Day. Our reservation was 4:30 & we were seated immediately & offered cocktails. Barely had we taken a “sip” when the waiter returned & wanted our meal order! After sending him away, he returned again in 5 minutes, so we ordered & our food was served within 10 minutes - way to fast! The food was good as usual, but the entire dining experience was much too rushed for us. This is one of our favorite “occasion” restaurants but they need to slow it down!!
Excellent food along with great service.
No social distancing, no masks, very crowded with tables almost on top of one another. Food was good, wait staff was ok but if you weren’t a regular the hostess was not very friendly. We are still concerned about COVID-19 and will wait to return til it is safer to do so.
Glad they are back . It’s an iconic place. All the staff are great and although a large standard menus there are some outstanding item such as Capon Dore
Glad the restaurant is using open table for reservations. Makes it so easy to find a table.
No doubt the best fried chicken dinner in the area.
First time back here in about six years. Came for the fried chicken and loved it. It is 1/2 chicken with thigh, leg, wing and breast. Sides are mashed potato and gravy with vegetables and biscuit with honey. Ate about half and rest for next nite's dinner. Noise from bar can be a distraction. I had forgotten about the western art and relished it again.
