About Casa Mia
Casa Mia is the authentic Italian Cuisine experience. Our family moved to the U.S. in 1993 from Sorrento, Italy (a province of Naples). We came straight to Scottsdale so none of our palates were altered from the flavors they were familiar with. Casa Mia means "my home", and just like at home our food is made to meet our standards of taste. All of our ingredients are of the finest quality, from home made pastas, organic produce, and now organic grass fed beef. Our wine list features only Italian wines, and is always a work in progress as we are always searching for new surprising flavors!

Casa Mia Ratings and Reviews
Note: We were served by the owner & a male server.
Disappointing experience. We ordered a $130 bottle of wine, year 2007, they tried to slide a 2011 under our nose without even mentioning it, what is worse is that we discussed with the owner about which of the two wines we should get and she suggested the 2007. Then when we noticed, they gave some long winded excuse about their supplier & the menu not being updated etc... When we asked for a decanter we were told that the glasses we were drinking out of were decanter glasses. Why argue about bringing a decanter, especially after bringing us a newer wine?
I ordered gnocci: Asiago, smoked mozzarella, parmigiano & swiss cheese. I got gnocci covered in tomato sauce. I pointed it out to the server/owner & she said you want it with cheese? I said, that was the one I ordered, (the only gnocci on the menu). So I sat & waited for my meal to come out while my friends were already halfway into theirs.
When we got the bill, we mentioned that we shouldn't be charged full price for the wine & we got an argument. We asked to speak with the owner & were told she left 10 mins earlier, so the next day my friend got a call from the owner who was argumentative even going so far as to say that we didn't have a reservation. Somehow giving my name was enough for her to lead me to a table for 3 & to bring 3 menus when I arrived alone. I reserved on OpenTable, hence the reason I can do this review. I was asked if it was a special occasion & I mentioned birthday. The table next to us had a candle & desert come out & we got nothing, not even an apology for the over charge, or the dinner mix up. We didn't care so much that the bday wasn't celebrated but why ask? It was just another fail on their part. I think any restaurant after bringing a 2011 wine but charging us the price listed for a 2007 & then bringing the completely wrong meal & leaving me to eat it alone, would have done something nice for us. They were rude throughout. :(
What an amazing experience!! My family and I ate dinner at Casa Mia and we all agreed it was one of the best Italian restaurants we have dined at in the Valley!! The food was outstanding, the service was great and the atmosphere was comfortable. Thank you to Hera and the staff for making our dining experience one to remember. We will be back for sure!! And I will refer you to all of my friends. :)
Casa Mia always has quality dishes and preparation. Everything is organic and the homemade pastas are extraordinary. We've dined there a handful of times and the consistency is there. There normal menu has something for everyone and their specials are varied and interesting.
Very friendly and attentive staff as well! A nice quaint bar area completes the package.
Having moved from the neighborhood this was the first time we have eaten in Casa Mia in three years. Since then they relocated into new more spacious and upscale facilities a short distance from their former location. Their food has always been excellent but at times in the past the service was slow. Not so this visit. The service was timely and attentive and everyone in our party throughly enjoyed their food. It was the first visit for friends that accompanied us and we all are already looking forward to a return visit. It is a bit of a drive for us from North Scottsdale but well worth it.
We love Casa Mia and have been going for 15 years. Home made pasta, sauces, bread, and wonderful choices of Italian wines. We just returned from a month in Italy enjoyed talking to the staff/owners about our trip. Many of them are from or are familiar with many of the places we visited. Wish they had patio dining and views.
Casa Mia is true authentic Italian Cuisine and we loved it. The bread is made in house to get you started. The menu items all looked amazing, but unfortunately we had to choose just two. I had the Gnocchi and my wife had the seafood risotto. Both meals were outstanding. We then got a private tour of the entire restaurant from one of the owners Nantas. It was a great evening and we will be back! Thank you Casa Mia.
