About Casa Mia
Casa Mia is the authentic Italian Cuisine experience. Our family moved to the U.S. in 1993 from Sorrento, Italy (a province of Naples). We came straight to Scottsdale so none of our palates were altered from the flavors they were familiar with. Casa Mia means "my home", and just like at home our food is made to meet our standards of taste. All of our ingredients are of the finest quality, from home made pastas, organic produce, and now organic grass fed beef. Our wine list features only Italian wines, and is always a work in progress as we are always searching for new surprising flavors!

Casa Mia Ratings and Reviews
My husband and I recently dined at Casa Mia for the first time -- it's a neighborhood gem! It's family-owned and operated which imparts a commitment to good service, knowledgeable staff, and wonderful tasting food! I had linguine and clams (with extra garlic) and my husband had the turkey bolognese. Both our meals were delicious, the flavors were well balanced, and the portions were generous. We started with the Burrata (cheese) appetizer -- I highly recommend it. The mixture of the creamy, slightly salty cheese, with the sweet tomato compote and syrup of fig was delicious. We skipped dessert this time, but on our next visit, we'll be sure to save room for it.
This has the authentic taste of Italy. Al dente pasta at last! Hera is lovely and welcoming. I appreciate her father's enthusiastic 'Buona Sera' which makes me feel for a moment or two like I might just be on the Amalfi Coast. We have to wait til March now before we can visit again but can't wait.
This is one of our favorite Italian Restaurants. We love taking friends and family here because the food is out of this work, the atmosphere is quaint and the owners are one of kind.
Always smiling and joking with you while giving you terrific service.
It's worth the trip!
Casa Mia is a quaint little place off the beaten path, hidden in the hills of Scottsdale Mountain on 136 Street just North of Via Linda. The food is extremely good and the owners and staff are very attentive, definitely one of our favorite new spots. However, what you struggle to let go while enjoying the wonderful service, ambiance and taste of food... is the cost of the food! Its out of sync in a price to quantity kind of ratio, so while you're trying to enjoy the experience you can't help to think.. " god this is expensive to what your getting"
Most of Casa Mia's entree's are well into the $20 -$30 range, and as I mentioned, while very good, the portions are simply to small to support weekly frequent visits. As of this review Casa Mia's Caprese salad is $18! How can 3 slices of tomato & cheese cost that much?
And just a side note to Casa Mia... I don't want to be able to ice skate on the butter. Casa Mia's butter is shipped directly from the Antarctic, rock hard and impossible to spread. You would do yourself well to consider making your own flavored butters and serve it in spreadable form...
With all that being said this is a lovely place with a lot to offer and you will not be dissatisfied .. However I can't help to think that if Casa Mia would scrape a little off their prices, making it n more "neighborhood friendly" that they couldn't expand into the vacant strip mall they current dwell in and make a killing with the massive amounts of business literally at their front door.
Casa Mia serves THE best authentic Italian Food in Arizona! The amazing Sodona family welcomes you! The veal is the best anywhere, and all the pasta is home made with tremendous sauces ! Try the tortellini with prosciutto and peas in a cream sauce! Heaven on earth!
The fried calamari melts in your mouth!!
Their home made lemon cello tops off the evening with any of their delicious desserts!!
We've been here a half-dozen times. Food is superior and different not like the typical Italian fare you'll find across the country i.e. no spaghetti and meat balls. Definitely try it but be prepared, food this level isn't cheap. Nice Italy-centric wine list too.
We were extremely pleased with this meal from start to finish. The restaurant is family-owned and one of the owners waited on us, gave us an in-depth description of the menu and came back to check on us. The service was friendly and top-notch and the food was amazing. This is now our new favorite restaurant for authentic Italian food.
Greeted by mom, served by son! You can feel it from the moment you walk in they care about it you and your experience. The freshness of the homemade pasta, knowledge of the ingredients, and the way they ascertain your satisfaction. I went with my wife and will take all of the family back when they are in town!
We visited Casa Mia with friends of ours that also love to go there. We are always impressed with the service, the wine selections and the delicious homemade dishes. The family takes pride in their restaurant and makes sure you are completely satisfied and enjoying your time there. Almost as if you were in their home. I would recommend Casa Mia in a heartbeat. They will not disappoint.
My wife and I just celebrated our anniversary at Casa Mia. They were wonderful with great service and tasty food. Very imaginative fare. We did a couple of their specials and were very pleased as were our taste buds. Their seafood risotto was wonderful. The spice mix was perfect and so was the seafood. We did their special soup as well and loved the robust mix of vegetables. All in all, a great evening at one of the Scottsdale neighborhood gems!
Overall, the place was cute, the service was fine and the food was delicious. That being said, we won't go back because it is not worth a 30 minute drive to pay $46 for 2 pasta dishes. We have an Italian restaurant much closer where the food is as good, the service and ambiance better and the prices are reasonable. My husband ordered tartufo for dessert, which the owner said they had, then came back and said they "were out". Out of tartufo at 7:15pm? Glad we went as we heard it was good, but it was nothing special and although good, too pricey for an average sized serving of pasta.
We really enjoyed Casa Mia's friendly local environment. It was nice having a Casa Mia family member wait on us as he gave us a lesson on the various menu selections. Other than the menu specials, he told us they could make us anything we like. He also helped us select our wine, which was helpful, as we knew very little about Italian wines. I had a Caesar salad, made with iceberg lettuce, which was good. My wife had the Taglietelli with meat sauce, which she loved. I had the Fusilli with eggplant and tomatoes. I was a little disappointed, as the sauce was heavy and tasted somewhat bitter to me. Overall, we had a very enjoyable meal and experience. We plan to return to Casa Mia.
