This is a great hidden treasure!! Owned and operated by a wonderful Italian family. The bartender, we love sitting at the bar is wonderful and always gives the evening a special charming quality. Drinks were great food was amazing and my husbands dessert was also top notch.

This is a must try! Can't wait to go back

A romantic small venue tucked away in downtown Marblehead. Fresh made to order pasta dishes that are as good as the VERY expensive Boston options. If you like ricotta, they make it fresh there too. It is worth the trip.

Went on Valentines Day. The place was busy, but we expected that, and a few parties all arrived at the same time, so it did take a while to get our cocktails, which were just okay, I'd stick with beer or wine for next time. Food was excellent, especially the Pane Dolce dessert which was a warm bread pudding topped with ice cream. I would recommend going here during non-peak hours.

We hadn't been here for a couple of years because it is a bit of a drive for us but we decided to go last Saturday.
The dishes were as great as ever, it is like eating in Italy. My husband and I shared a vegetarian cheese board which was delicious with good cheeses and bruschetta. He had gnocchi for his main course which were light and fluffy in a light tomato sauce. I ordered the stuffed pork chop and it was delicious - very large, so I took part of it home. The meat was delicious with a great demi-glaze. We shared a bread pudding dessert which was excellent.
The service was great, with a very friendly waiter "from the old country". If you haven't been to Italy and you would like to experience the quality of food eaten there, I would absolutely recommend going to Casa Mia.

Veal was not great or very tasty. Veal Piccata is made to order and this did not have what one expects from this dish. Service was odd as the wait people acted as if they were doing us a favor by waiting on us. The place was not busy and I can see why.

We love this restaurant and have been often. The staff feel like family (well, they ARE family to each other -- which works so well!), and always welcome us warmly. The service is always excellent, and the menu offerings are varied and interesting (I try to have a dish I've never had before when I go). We plan to return, and will make it a winter spot this year.

We have been here several times and always enjoyed the food. The restaurant wasn't even half full, and the bar was empty when we arrived.
On this visit, we order 2 beers, and a salad for before dinner, with a Lobster Ravioli and a Pork chop as the main meals.
After 30minutes, we wondered where the salad was, they said it was served with the meal, which should be out shortly, but delivered it 5-10 min later.
At 40-50 min, we were noticing all those patrons filling the bar and the owners family, who was directly next to our table, were all being fed plates and plates of food, and our table was empty, save the small salad. We inquired again. They said the pork chop required 25 minutes to cook and it was a small kitchen so it was first in first out. Apparently, the family beside us was getting all the kitchen staff's focus, as they kept getting one after another hot serving placed before them as soon as they sat down.
When we reached an hour of waiting, we were protesting, and they promised another couple minutes. The actual time we received the pork chop and ravioli was 1 hour and 20 minutes. THAT IS ABSURD! Especially since they mentioned to us in one of their times at the side of the table that it would take 25 minutes.
The ravioli was overly creamy/cheesy, and the pork chop was ok, but certainly not worth waiting 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Never again!

We've been to Casa Mia probably 8 times over the last year. We have a great experience every time, whether we go on a week night when it's less crowded or on a Friday/Saturday when the place is hopping. The food always tastes amazing and it's a great place for us to go for dinner and not feel rushed. It's not quiet, but my husband and I have had some wonderful, relaxed conversations while there. We first went there on a whim last year and we were never people who went to the same place many times. Love it here!

We went with friends who had raved about this restaurant. It was a terrible disappointment. One member ordered the octopus and she was told there was only one left but when it arrived it was a fraction of the portion size she had had before. The salad she ordered to compensate for the small main course (the cost for which the waitress said she would adjust) had funny tasting dressing. Waitress had a bit (not excessive but more than I would have liked to see) of an attitude when the diner complained about both at the end of the meal. The other meals were okay but nothing special. They did not charge our friend for the octopus, which was the right thing to do.

Not going back, and our friends (who had been there many times previously) probably are not either.

Outstanding food and ambience. My wife and I were taking out my sister for her birthday. Her boyfriend, who lived in Italy for over 40 years, joined us. He praised the food and drink as authentic and delicious Southern Italian cuisine. The server, who's engaged to the chef/owner, was extremely gracious and hospitable.

Awesome service. Our waitress was super. The food was excellent. Chicken parmigiana was tender and very flavorful. Our waitress suggested two wines. She knew what she was talking about. When we’re back again from TX we will again put Casa Mia on our menu!!!

We ended up not eating here since when we told the waitress about an allergy , her response was we’ve been doing this a long time , we know what we are doing. She was very rude and didn’t offer food alternatives but wanted us to trust her judgement . We left the restaurant and if you don’t have a food allergy, it might be a great restaurant . Otherwise go to the Cafe Italia Trattoria they weren’t rude, took the allergy in consideration , big portions and great food .

This was our first visit to Casa Mia and it was perfect -- it was for a weeknight anniversary dinner (with my husband, myself, and our toddler!) and the food was great, the service was excellent, and they were so friendly and accommodating (including delicious mocktails for me since I can't drink at the moment!) Can't wait to return.

We had a great meal with start to finish in this cozy little restaurant.

The service was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We started with a couple of excellent cocktails and moved on to a special appetizer of homemade ricotta over crostini and drizzled with honey -- it was light and absolutely delicious, We shared a 2nd course of freshly made fusilli with sausage, shrimp & spinach in a delicate cream sauce. The last shared plate was veal sauteed with porcini mushrooms . If you are in Marblehead and like italian food, or are foodies, this would be a must stop.
