   I guess we set our expectations too high for Casa Ludovico in Palm Harbor. Never having been there before and hearing so much about it….I planned a special Farewell Dinner for 4 for last evening (Sunday). Our table was ready and waiting for us. I had hoped for a lovely relaxing evening dinner with friends. The noise level was not energetic, but rather very annoyingly loud! Our server did his job, but acted annoyed. Not happy..just there doing his job. Our dinners were so so! Out of 4…..I was the only one who really enjoyed their food. The veal had no taste and was cut surprisingly so thin. The best thing were the desserts…..we finally found Spumoni Ice Cream (which most people here don’t even know what spumoni is) Very good and pleasantly surprised. I had a beautifully tasting fresh cannoli and my hubby had the chocolate cake. Unfortunately for us, The best part of the meal was the desserts. There are so many other really good Italian restaurants in the area that we probably won’t be returning to Casa Ludovico!🥲🥲

   The food and service are always good here. One problem we had last night was the noise level. We were a party of 4 and we could hear each other talk.

   Always an interesting experience. The noise level is loud but if that won’t bother you you’ll be fine. Husband’s grouper was delish and so was the octopus app. I had lobster, clams and shrimp with linguini. The 2 very mini tails were tough and the clams were very very small.

   Food was excellent, service was very good. My only recommendation is that management be less ‘selective’ about the tables it visits when checking on things. If visiting tables, visit all tables so that customers feel more included - especially new customers. Just a suggestion.

   Lovely dinner to celebrate Easter. Appetizers, soup, salad, two entrees were well prepared and great.

   Appetizers and main entrees were served at the same time. The service was slow and we had to ask for ice as the water was served warm. They did compensate us with one free dessert

    It was our 4th time dining here in the 3 years since we moved to Palm Harbor and the food was just as outstanding as we always remembered it to be! However, the service was a bit unusual this evening. There was a misunderstanding about our reservation time and as we approached the host stand they recognized pur party and said they gave our table away (2 adults and 2 children). As the host was shuffling through the reservations the hostess promptly seated us at an open table as if it was no issue. Of note, there was absolutely no rush after us, we dined amongst open tables and we observed Walk-ins being seated so the notion of making a big deal about us being late seemed a bit theatrical. Regardless, after being seated the host noted the occasion of our night out and wished my husband a happy birthday; though the waiter never did. The waiter took our drink order and then returned immediately to ask if we were ready to order. He took notice of our shock and offered some suggestions; we asked for a minute to look over the menu. He returned no later than exactly 1 minute later and asked if we were ready. We felt completely rushed and said we would take a burrata salad. He returned 1 minute later and wanted our dinner order (within 5 minutes of being seated). We knew what we wanted because we had been there before, but he didn’t offer to go over the menu with us. The appetizer arrived before the drinks, the dinner arrived before we completed the appetizer - it was just way too rushed. Furthermore, the appetizer was very expensive as we were given the „special“ burrata salad with prosciutto (which is not what we ordered but we didn’t complain). The same experience followed with dessert: dessert had been completely eaten before our dessert drinks arrived to the table. To reiterate, we would go back b/c 3/4 visits this was not our experience but we prefer a slower paced meal and this was not our ideal night out for a celebration at a nice restaurant.
